Dr. Wendy Xue was born in Shanghai, China and came to the U.S. (New York) at age nine. She grew up on the east coast and has been involved with children from her young teenage years: being a camp counselor, tutor and volunteering at the hospital. Dr. Wendy completed her bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 2002 and went forward to obtain D.D.S from Columbia University in 2007, and finally finished her training in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry in 2009 at UMDNJ.
Dr. Wendy is a Board Certified pediatric dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is an active member of AAPD, ADA and local dental societies. She also believes in giving back and actively participates in various programs such as Give Kids a Smile.
Dr. Wendy takes a rather conservative approach to dentistry and believes that prevention should be the main goal in pediatric dentistry. She believes in not only educating the parents in caries prevention, but also in building a positive and trusting relationship with the children. 'Establishing a dental home early in a child 's life is the most important factor in preventing disease and creating a comfortable environment for patients'. 'Dental fear is something that can develop at an extremely young age and continue into adulthood, and I believe that building relationships while treating disease is the key.'
Dr. Wendy is also trained in treating children with special needs, as well as children and adolescents with dental anxiety. Dr. Wendy is experienced in various behavioral management and sedation techniques, so there are treatment options catered toward every single child. Each child is special, and Dr. Wendy will make sure each patient feels this way from the minute they walk into her office.

Dr. Wendy is the BEST. She explains every single step she's going to do, giving my kid a chance to touch any tools she's going to use, and she's very warm and encouraging-- all which is very helpful for our high anxiety kid. Our 7yo has had to get quite a few procedures done in the past year after not seeing the dentist in 2 yrs (and after having a bad experience with a dentist prior to that) and Dr Wendy has been excellent at explaining what needs to be done and why to both my kid and to me and encourages any and all questions. I especially appreciate that she's sensitive to how she's explaining things to me in front of my kid. I appreciate that she's a mom and that the office's covid protocol is strong, and the office staff is also very warm and professional. No joke, I wish I had this kind of care for myself.

We just cannot express enough how much we love Dr. Wendy and all the staff! Dr. Wendy is super caring, honest and completely trusted by our both children. We cannot be happer! My children and I are just hoping that Dr. Wendy to open another office for grown up and live forever to take care of all of us!

We've seen both Dr Wendy and Dr Sharlini, and they are really wonderful! The office is inviting, they are so kind and best of all, they really engage the kids so that they are part of the checkup and treatment. It's important for the kids to answer questions and be engaged rather than poked and prodded. Also they get to choose what TV show to watch, so they barely mind what is happening to them.

My daughter had a wonderful experience here. Dr. Wendy was patient and gentle throughout the entire process. It is clear that she cares about her patients. The office is nice and clean and staff is very polite. I highly recommend this office!

We are just so lucky to finally find the best kids dentist! Dr.Yoon is so kind, and my daughter love her. She had very bad experience at the different office in other country so she was afraid... but Dr.Yoon was so kind, very skillful and knows how to talk to kids! Thank you so much!

Dr. Wendy is an excellent Dentist. She has a wonderful demeanor with children and provides a safe and comfortable environment. My son and daughter have been there multiple times over the years and every visit has been smooth and efficient. The office is new, modern, and clean and the staff is extremely polite and helpful. The response time is fast, the wait time is non-existent, the entire staff is superb. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist. We just got back from another visit this morning and it went perfectly. No issues at all. We love going to Dr. Wendy and highly recommend her to anyone with children in the area!

My daughter had a very pleasant first visit to dr Wendy's office where we were initially greeted by a friendly staff. Dr. Wendy was very tender and considerate when checking my daughters teeth and made sure she was comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Wendy and her wonderful practice.

I can't say enough about how pleased I was with our visit with Dr. Wendy. My daughter is 2 1/2 and this was her first time going to the dentist. The office was clean and welcoming. Both the front desk staff and Dr. Wendy were incredibly warm towards my daughter. I would highly recommend this practice based on this appointment.
