First and foremost, we believe that people should have their own healthy teeth for an entire lifetime. It is now clear from both the medical and dental literature that dental health affects all facets of a person's physical and emotional well being.
Your general dentist has referred you to us because he or she sincerely believes that your present condition requires the service of a specialist. We are an extention of your dentist's skill, care, and judgement. We offer expert endodontic care and we are specially trained to provide root canal therapy. It is understandable that you may be apprehensive about being placed in the care of a specialist. Let us assure you that should our evaluation indicate that root canal treatment will be of no benefit to you, we will openly advise you of this, and not recommend treatment.
Our goal is to provide you with care that is aspleasant and concientious as possible. We highly value your opinion and would appreciate any additional comments or suggestions that you may have regarding our office staff and service.
Dr. Soham C. Patel is a Maryland native who grew up in the Greater Baltimore area. He completed his dental education at the University of Maryland Dental School. As a dental student, Dr. Patel was a member of the GORGAS and Gamma Pi Delta Honor Societies. After receiving his D.D.S. in 2002, he did a one-year general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC.
He practiced as a general dentist in Bowie, MD for three years. An appreciation and interest in the field of endodontics led him to pursue specialty training at the New York University College of Dentistry. As a resident, he received an award from the AAE for his research work and contribution to the specialty of endodontics. After graduating with his Certificate in Endodontics, he returned to the state of Maryland. He practiced endodontics in Frederick and Gaithersburg before purchasing the practice of Dr. Steven Delgado in March 2015.
Dr. Patel volunteers at events held by Mid-Maryland Mission of Mercy to provide endodontic care for the underserved. He is also an active member of the Carroll County Dental Society and theEdward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club.

Amazing experience. Everyone there operates with a sense of excellence. The entire staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Patel did a great job on my root canal and thoroughly explained the entire procedure. I always felt welcome when I went into the office. Would highly recommend!

What an amazing office. All of them!! The office manager was just so sweet and helpful. She set the tone for the whole place. Assuring quality care and work. That matters!! The dental hygienist , now those two girls were beyond compassionate, knowledgeable. Dr.Patel is so thorough, easy on the mouth. He was done so quickly and it was 100% painfree. I have anxiety and they took that into consideration and made it very pleasant.They all were so welcoming and calming. I would recommend them for ANYONE. You deserve more than 5 stars!! My general dentist did an amazing job choosing them as a root canal referral!

This is by far the best oral surgeon or a root canal specialist I have ever been to!!! Patel explained step-by-step the staff was amazing it was painless he get me in the office very quick , in and out no one can compete with this practice - I have tried others he is by far number one!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Patel is simply the best around. He took great care of me and my needs and were quick to see me! If you're scared of root canals then you MUST come here to Carroll County Endodontics. Simply a great experience all around. Also, the staff is so friendly and caring.

Highly recommend this dental practice. Developed tooth infection over the weekend - I called the office on Monday morning at 9:00 and was seen at 10:00. All staff was super nice and compassionate.. Dr. Patel was reassuring and inspired total confidence. Can honestly say the whole procedure was easy and pain-free Can't thank all the staff enough for getting rid of this pain for me!!!

The staff here is super nice, both on the phone and in person. I was able to get an appointment quickly and saw Dr. Patel for diagnosis of my problem. He was also very nice, personable and thorough in his explanations. He took his time with me and answered all my questions so that I feel comfortable going ahead with the root canal.

This practice is a well-oiled machine! Everyone is very friendly and competent, and everything runs on time. If you need to have a root canal done, this is the place to go - I'm glad my dentist referred me to them. Very little discomfort, great communication. I highly recommend them.

When there is fire in your gums and tooth pain is radiating so that it also shoots our of your eye sockets and your ears, you just want it to stop. NOW. Fortunately, I found the right endodontist in Dr. Soham Patel. I could tell I was on the right track by the warmth and compassion of his receptionist, Emily, on the phone. That Carroll County Endodontists office was in my neighborhood and accepted my insurance plan was just icing on the cake (sugar free, of course). At that moment, I would have traveled any distance and paid any price to feel like my old self. My regular dentist had spoken about "trying to save the tooth" since it was a redo of an old root canal dating about 20 years back. Dr. Patel used all the modern equipment and techniques at his disposal and less than an hour later I was feeling much, much better. The only pain I felt during the whole procedure was that first needle and it was nothing compared to the pain I had felt during the past three days. Dr. Patel was friendly and his confidence was contagious. He seems to take care to surround himself with like-minded individuals since his other receptionist, Lisa, and assistant, Nicole, were equally compassionate. I noticed he had only two reviews up on this site so far. I volunteered to write this one so that others could enjoy the benefit of this competent and compassionate practitioner.
