Dr. Carpentieri graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland/Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1985. He received his Prosthodontic Specialty Certificate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 1997. Subsequently, he completed a four year Fellowship in the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.

In my intense desire to continue to move the Westchester Restorative Dentistry and Implantology Group forward, I needed to find additional clinicians that represent the best of the best in terms of education, training, clinical expertise, and experience. In addition to these attributes, it was also important to find exceptionally good people.

With that said, I am extremely proud and excited to introduce two additional dentists to our practice, both of which have earned their Specialty Certificates in Prosthodontics. Both Dr. Amy Ludwig and Dr. Libel Eduardo are extremely bright and talented, empathetic, and absolutely passionate about dentistry and the care that they are capable of providing. In addition, it is interesting to note that both doctors have long and impressive family histories in the field of dentistry. More specifically, I wanted to offer additional information about each doctor in their own words.

Dr. Ludwig grew up in Bethlehem, PA where her father and grandfather had their dental practice and became interested in pursuing dentistry. Dr. Ludwig attended college and dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, completing her DMD degree in 1983. Dr. Ludwig completed a general practice residency at Muhlenberg Medical Center in 1984 in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Dr Ludwig completed her Prosthodontic Speciality training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 1997 where she trained with Dr. Carpentieri.

Dr. Eduardo brings her dedication and commitment to excellence in dentistry to every patient. Growing up assisting her parents in their dental office and dental laboratory since early in life, provided her a great opportunity to start developing a keen eye to correctly diagnose and treat her patients dental needs comprehensively.

Dr. Carpentieris training is unique as it employs dual specialty training in both prosthetics and implant surgery.

He lectures nationally and internationally on all phases of implant prosthetics and surgery, immediate implant restorations, aesthetics and new dental technologies at major symposiums. Dr. Carpentieri is also a consultant and mentor to the Zimmer Biomet dental implant company and has authored a text book on dental implant treatment, as well as having been a contributing author for a second text book. Other efforts include numerous other peer-reviewed publications and literature reviews.

Currently, Dr. Carpentieri is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in the Department of Prosthodontics/Implant Surgical Fellowship. He dedicates one full day per week to academics and shares the responsibility with his other colleagues to present weekly lecture materials coupled with hands on surgical implant training for residents in various specialty programs.

Dr. Amy Ludwig grew up in Bethlehem, PA, where her father and grandfather had their dental practice and became interested in pursuing dentistry. She attended college and dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, completing her DMD degree in 1983.

Dr. Ludwig completed a general practice residency at Muhlenberg Medical Center in 1984 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She completed her Prosthodontic Speciality training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 1997, where she trained with Dr. Carpentieri.

Dr. Ludwig has maintained a private practice in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan since 1994. A past president of the New York Academy of Dentistry, Dr. Ludwig is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontists, The American Prosthodontic Society, and the New York Academy of Dentistry. She has also helped teach the Dental Ethics program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Eduardo graduated Suma Cum Laude from The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in 2008. She completed her Advanced Standing Program at the University of Puerto Rico graduating Magna Cum Laude and being the first ever foreign trained dentist to receive numerous awards for her excellence in the field of crown and bridge and restorative dentistry.

After practicing for some time in private practice, her commitment to providing the best possible care to her patients led her to seek additional advanced education inthe field of restorative, implant and esthetic dentistry She received her Prosthodontics Specialty Certificate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center in 2019.
