Dr. Carpenter then graduated from Miami University (in Ohio of course) with a degree in Chemistry and then from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Carpenter has been married to Shawn for the past 23 years. She has 4 sons: Owen-22, Carson-19, Carter-16, and Cooper-15. Dr. Carpenter loves her family and loves treating other families in the community. In her spare time after attending ball games, ball games, and then more ball games, Dr. Michelle loves to watch classic old films, her favorite High Society with Grace Kelly. Dr. C (as she is known around the office) prides herself and her office on the following philosophy: Treat Our Patients Like Family.

Dr. Gbemi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The Ohio State University. Upon graduating, he served four years active duty in the US Army while simultaneously working after-hours at a local dental clinic and as on-call dentist at the Hospital Emergency Room in Manhattan, Kansas. A native of Ibadan Nigeria, Dr. Gbemi settled in Grove City and has been part of Central Ohio community since 2003.

Dr. Gbemis focus is providing comprehensive dental care in multiple dental specialties. He is well known for being on the cutting edge of new dental care services including implants, cosmetic techniques, and IV sedation dentistry. He delivers the most positive and pain-free dental experience available. In addition to being a phlebotomist, Dr. Gbemi has successfully completed multiple advanced certification programs at Midwest Implant Institute, New York Implant Institute, Duquesne University for IV Sedation, and Miami Valley Hospital for I.V. sedation, to name a few.

I have been with this practice for a little over 3 years. I started job shadowing while I was in assisting school and immediately loved the environment and the people here. Dr. Pressler and Dr. Carpenter hired me on the spot and I started working with both doctors on the clinical side. My position changed to hygiene assistant when the need grew for help in hygiene, and I felt like that was my perfect fit. I get to know patients a little more when I see them every six months, and I enjoy seeing familiar faces.

On the weekends I enjoy running 5K races just for fun with my husband and sometimes my two boys will join us who are 9 and 15 years old. In my spare time I love to paint with acrylics on anything I can get my hands on, I love tropical scenes and things that remind me of Florida.

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I completed my schooling through The Ohio State University College of Dentistry Division of Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2013. After passing my boards, I immediately came on as an employee of this office. I have lived in Mount Vernon my entire life and so I was very excited to get a job close to home, especially at such a great dental practice.

In my time away from work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Jason, my yellow lab Axl, and my daughter Stella, whom we just welcomed into this world in May 2017. I love the balance my career gives me to be able to work as well as be a new mommy! I also enjoy spending time outdoors, like kayaking and attending concerts in the summers. I am an avid Buckeye fan and just recently jumped on the bandwagon for the Cleveland Indians.

My goal as a Dental Hygienist is to make all my patients feel comfortable in the chair during their cleanings, whether it be young children coming in for their first visit or adults who are apprehensive or scared. It makes my day when I can help someone enjoy their smile again or have them be excited to come back. I always look forward to seeing my regular routine patients every six months as well as meeting new ones!

Hi I 'm Karen Evans the person that handles the statements and billing. I 've been with Carpenter Dental Group for 12 years after retiring and moving here from Marion, Ohio. I have been given the nick name of 'Nick Nack' in the office, because I have been aroundso long. My husband, Garry, and I have 2 sons and one grandson. Since the boys and grandson have grown, my life is pretty boring, I doenjoy reading and shopping. I havemet so many wonderful people through the office and still enjoy coming to work.

Hi, my name is Kelsey and I'm a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have been working for Carpenter Dental Group since July 2016. I graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2009. I have two children Luke and Maddie, and have been married to my high school sweetheart since October 2009. I have always had a passion for dentistry, and could not be more satisfied with my career choice. I love being able to work with patients daily, and having the opportunity to make others feel confident with their smile. I feel very blessed to be a part of this staff and the community of Mount Vernon.

My name is Lisa, I am the hygiene coordinator and have worked in the dental field for about 4 years starting out as an assistant then worked my way to the front desk. I am married and have a 5 year old son. In our spare time we like to go hiking, fishing, and play board games. As the hygiene coordinator I help patients schedule their routine 6 month dental cleanings and make their visit easier by verifying their insurance eligibility/coverage amount.

My name is MaryJo. I am a dental hygienist. We are originally from the Cleveland area and moved to Knox county in 1999. I have been practicing dental hygiene for 20 years, 16 of those years with Carpenter Dental Group. Ive enjoyed working in the community that I live in. I am married to a high school English teacher and have two children. Nathan and Ari keep us busy with middle school sports. It is a joy to see so many friends and acquaintances in the office and help them keep their smile bright!

Hi I am Tricia and it is my mission to be lighthearted with patients and set them at ease in the dental environment. Being in dentistry for over 30 years I know that not everyone feels comfortable in the dental chair and its important to be able to reassure them and maybe even share a laugh.

I try to be positive and passionate about life and enjoy spending time away from the office with my husband, Paul, and our five children, traveling and meeting new people. Dentistry allows me to combine my restorative talents and people skills in order to give patients a rewarding experience.
