Dr. Laurent graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She then earned her master's degree and specialty certification in orthodontics from the University of California San Francisco.
In 2009, Dr. Laurent opened Laurent Orthodontics to give patients in the Sonoma area healthy, beautiful smiles. For the last ten years, Dr. Laurent has transformed the lives of teens, adults and children through high-quality orthodontic care.
At Laurent Orthodontics, we strive to provide excellent customer service and care, and we make every possible effort to make you feel at home in our happy, positive environment! In fact, we were recently voted 'Best Orthodontist in Sonoma Valley' by the readers of the local paper, The Sonoma Index-Tribune, for the fourth year in a row.
Rachel is trained in every aspect of our office. She can help you with billing, insurance or financing questions, scheduling, and she even helps in the back as a dental assistant! Rachel is also bilingual to help us serve our Spanish-speaking patients.
Gone are the days of painful headgear, clunky bands on every tooth, and overly tight stainless steel wires. Today's orthodontic treatment is much more comfortable than it used to be. This is because of shape-memory NiTi wires.
With the same technology that NASA uses, NiTi wires exert a continuous force against the teeth to move them in the right direction. This gets rid of the need for wire tightening. This means you spend less time in braces, and the time you do spend is more comfortable.
Our Sonoma office was designed to make you feel comfortable and safe during your orthodontic treatment. Were located right off Sonoma Plaza, surrounded by a wide variety of shopping and dining options.

My son and I have both been long time patients and have always had a five star experience with regard to treatment, reliability, timelines, staff courtesy, etc. I would highly recommend. I have been a patient in other offices and I would never go back as my experience here has been far superior in every way. Thank you Dr Laurent and awesome staff!!

I had Invisalign with Dr. Laurent a few years ago. I loved everything about it. The appointments were quick and easy. The office staff are nice and helpful.

Dr. Laurent and staff very professional. My Invisalign treatment was worth it and hardly noticeable when out in public. Also a plus, was no food or drink restrictions!

I loved working with Dr. Laurent! My personalized plan used Invisalign to correct imperfections in my bite and smile after an incomplete treatment of braces as a child. I wish I hadn't waited as long as I did to get started- I was so happy with the results and the experience could not have been easier. Thank you, Dr. Laurent!!

Fantastic experience with wonderful staff! I had braces when I was young, wasn't great with retainers and had changes I was hoping to correct. Dr Laurent put me in Invisalign and achieved the outcome I was hoping for. Highly recommend.

Dr. Laurent and her friendly staff see both of my daughters regularly. Initially, we thought our daughters would need extensive dental procedures due to abnormal tooth growth, but Dr. Laurent's suggested preventative treatments were successful. We've been very pleased with Dr. Laurent's chair-side manners, and my daughters never complain about going to their routine appointments. @LaurentOrthodontics
