Our focus is to provide access to the highest quality dental care for anyone enrolled in NC Medicaid or HealthChoice programs ages 1 21 from any county in North Carolina. We are a well established and busy practice that serves as the dental home for thousands of patients from the surrounding 14 counties and has served over 35,000 patients in WNC since opening in fall of 2008. We have a dedicated team of 5 dentists and 28 staff members who are committed day in and day out to making a difference in our patients dental health. The facility is state of the art, 7500 square feet practice with an 8 chair open hygiene bay fully equipped with a disco ball that our patients and staff often show off their dance moves under!
Presently our dental team consists of 28 staff members plus 5 dentists who work strive to provide excellent dental care to our patients from all around the Western North Carolina area. Each member of our trained staff is truly dedicated to serving our patient population and works hard to provide the best overall experience possible to each and every one of our patients.
Ourentire staff strives to present a welcoming, professional and comfortable atmosphere for our patients and will do everything we can to ensure that they have a good visit! We want you to feel comfortable communicating with any of our staff members so they can help alleviate any questions or concerns you may have.

I have been bringing my children to Carolina West over 10 years and am very pleased with the staff & service. They understand what it means to be KIND - a forgotten value. Thank you! ( Plus, Janice makes us feel like family. What's not to LOVE about that)

This is the worst dental office I've ever been to in 47 years. They are by far the rudest people of any business I've ever been to. The only reason people go here is because they take Medicaid and they know it. I've heard many stories about their being under scrutiny for Medicaid fraud. I assume this is why they won't care for my daughter while my son has a different dentist. They obviously don't care about giving care to their patients.

Was very impressed with the kindness of everyone at this office. A special shout out to Callie. She was so sweet to my grandson! I could tell that she truly loves children. I am very thankful that the kids in western, NC have a place to go for their dental needs.

Worst experience ever! My child who is 8 wasn't aloud to have an adult present with her and they wanted me to sign a consent saying they could restrain her. We left and will never be back!

Horrible place! They care nothing about there patients. Care only about the money. They have let my son cry and scream for days with his tooth and they are unwilling to help and it's not the first run in with them. They have a emergency line and never call you back. They call in pill form antibiotics for a child and refuse to switch to liquid unless you bring them in for another "visit". Considering it's pediatric looks like they would have some sympathy. I would never take my children there if I knew what I knew now! Making a child suffer for your own agenda is wrong!

Our 6 yr old grandson needed 2 teeth extracted and appointment for future crown & space maintainers. We were greeted by friendly staff & allowed to wait outside or in our vehicle. The team began right on time and were the friendliest group of dental workers we've met anywhere in the western Carolina area. Their after action reporting and discussion on follow up needs was clearly explained in a most professional manner. Our grandson said his experience was as pleasant as could be for a young, (slightly scared), dental patient. We are so thankful or this office & the caring services for local medicaid insurance users. They treat all patients from surrounding counties & the 2 hour trip was well worth the journey. Thanks, Carolina West Dental. We're highly recommending your services to others with medicaid insurance in search of dental needs for ages 1-21 as you advertise.

Stephanie at the front desk has always been the first smiling face when we come into this great practice. Been bringing my son here for many years and he has received excellent care by the dentist and all assistants. Stephanie is professional and kind on both the phone and in-person. She is the best! I am sad that my son will soon be moving on to an adult dentist. We will miss this very friendly place when we have to move him up. Thanks a lot Carolina West Dental!!!
