This dentist office is the best office to go to! Not only are the staff the very best in helping you with your teeth, they go above and beyond for you when insurance causes problems. One staff member spent two full days resolving an issue for me that insurance messed up and went out of her way to help me get my money back. I am very thankful for her! Also, they offer their own plans to avoid the hassle with insurance if you want to get that, which I think is a lifesaver! Every single person here cares for you and wants to make you feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Cox & the dental assistants always make me feel much better anytime I'm nervous. They explain everything that will happen in detail and take all the time I need to make me feel secure. I love the way they take care of my teeth, they always look great! I will be recommending everyone I know to go here from now on.

Edit 12/02/21 : I wanted to come back and update since I have decided to leave this office. I really like Dr. Cox and his hygienists however I found that it is super important to communicate with your insurance company bc the office staff, while nice, aren't completely transparent. The first time I called this office I was told "we work with all insurance." I didn't understand that meant they were considered "out of network." So I was having to pay large portions of my check ups that were supposed to be 100% covered. During my last check up the office had me pay $150 upfront, with zero notice of the policy change. I found out today that my insurance would have covered 100% for an in network dentist office. So again, I ended up paying $48 dollars for a service that was supposed to be 100% covered.I do take partial responsibility for the misunderstanding and still stand by my initial review but I felt it important to update since most of us don't speak insurance jargon and may not understand the importance of understanding when an office is in network or not and making sure that they communicate that properly when directly asked. I want to start by saying I have severe anxiety about the dentist. I'm reviewing after my first visit as a new patient. Everyone in this office made me feel comfortable. Reception was friendly, doctor Cox was great. He took the time to educate me about what was going on with my teeth and what he meant by certain dental phrases he was using. I didn't expect a cleaning on my first visit but the hygienist had a cancelation and went ahead and cleaned my teeth. This experience was the complete opposite of any dental visit I have ever had. I won't look forward to the dentist now but I guess I won't dread it

Wrote a review a year ago and it disappeared. Not sure why. Had a new patient appointment and everything went well. Came back for my cleaning and checked in. Waiting an hour past my appointment and left. No one bothered to let me know what the delay was. Other people came in after my appointment time and went back in a few minutes. Was in Sept 2020.

All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I would suggest that they send out forms to be filled out prior to the appointment so they can be filled in and returned beforehand. Not everyone in the waiting area had the information on hand, plus the time needed to fill it out delayed the appointment quite a bit. Other than that, it's a pleasure to go there.

Due to to me getting severe TMJ (lockjaw) and not getting a referral from my dental office (who filled two teeth on one side at the same time), I called another dentist in the area ,Cox dental, and the receptionist for Cox Dental was asking me all kinds of questions and I told her the reason why I'm calling for another Dentist is because" I'm not getting the help that I expected" from the dentist who locked my jaw up and that I needed a referral to someone who could help me. My Dentist, Burkmont, was great but I was concerned about not getting the help I needed! Mind you, I have been in and out of the hospital and it was hard for me to talk. I couldn't eat & I was in severe pain! I also said that" I need to get my husband in to look at his new dentures" because they weren't doing anything about them. I never said that we had a bad dentist or used any curse words!!! I just said that I was having trouble getting a referral. So she talked me into setting up an appointment but was VERY upset that she went through all that to get me in an appointment and THAT I told her never mind. So she called over TO BURKMONT FROM COX and made up a story that I cussed out my dentist! LIER!! Who, intern banned me from the office! So I went back to my office to take my husband to get seen and paid the co-pays but we haven't been back since! I'm still having to get Cortisone shots in my jaw and my husband's teeth are still buck and now his insurance will not cover for new partials. I heard cox was good but what kind of receptionist did they have working for them? A psycho that's what.

Dr. Cox has been our family dentist for the past several years. However, with the constant turnover of office staff, the billing process has been a logistical nightmare. First, the office would file our insurance, now they state that their policies have changed and full payment is due up front, with NO WARNING. Furthermore, after speaking with Mary Ann (the newest financial person), she explained that there could be debt owned from the past, due to billing issues and that there could be an additional amount owed. We would only find out after their internal audit was completed, covering the past several years. What in the world? I attempted to speak with Mary Ann, but she continued to talk over me and would not allow me to explain, eventually hanging up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Mary Ann told me that "maybe I should find another dentist and a negative Google review was fine." HERE IT IS. THE TRUTH!! Until Dr. Cox can find knowledgeable, professional and courteous office staff, I would NOT recommend his practice.

I don't recommend this place AT ALL. Mary Ann, the office manager, is so unprofessional and rude in several different ways. They either A. never file the insurance or B. don't tell you when they file it. Until Dr. Cox can find knowledgeable, professional and courteous office staff, I would NOT recommend his practice.

My Husband and I have been to dentists in many states, TX, IL, IN, PA, FL, and NY. Dr. Cox and his staff are by far the best out there. Everyone is so friendly, has a GREAT sense of humor, and really make you feel comfortable. This is the only dentist my Husband and I will see. They are quick to get you in, especially in an emergency, and make sure all dental issues have been addressed. Doc is very thorough and explains possible outcomes of different treatments so you can make an educated decision on the path of care you would like to take. I can't say enough good things. Thank you for truly caring for the patient.
