I have reaped the benefits of good dentistry and I know personally how having a great smile can truly change the way that we feel about ourselves. Education is a very important part of any dental career. During my stay at MUSCs College of Dental Medicine, I was taught by many intelligent and dedicated professors. Our small class size allowed us to learn in more of a one-on-one setting in order to get the most our education. Education for dentistry does not end there, however. I look forward to learning everything I can through continuing education courses and by learning from the other skilled doctors in this office.
It us a true blessing to be able to give the gift of dentistry to those who need it most. I have been very fortunate to have many opportunities to provide for my community. Volunteering at free dental clinics, participating in the Special Smiles program during the Special Olympics, and participating in Give Kids a Smile are among the many events I have been honored to be a part of. I hope that many other opportunities become available to me so that I can give back to the dental community here in Loris.
Being a dentist is truly a rewarding profession. But while going to work every day and doing what I love is great, Ive developed a passion for overseas dental missions. I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit Venezuela, Ecuador and Haiti during my dental career. During my stay in these countries, I, along with a team of volunteers, was able to provide quality dental care for those who do not have regular access to such services. I have learned a lot by visiting these countries and I hope to be able to return in the near future.
Dr. Spiguzza believes in a patient first philosophy when it comes to providing dental care. He understands first hand that not every patient is alike, and listens intently in order to provide the best care achievable to every patient . Dr. Spiguzza is extremely proficient when it comes to working within the confines of patients individual needs. Whether it is fear and anxiety or financial constraints, Dr. Spiguzza works tirelessly to provide a solution that satisfies his patients oral health needs without sacrificing quality to do so.
Dr. Spiguzza completed his Bachelors degree in Biology at Indiana University in Bloomington,IN. While at Indiana, he was on the deans list for his entire tenure in his undergraduate studies. Dr. Spiguzza was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity where he served as the chair of philanthropy for over 120 members. As philanthropy chair, Dr. Spiguzza organized events and coordinated members to give back to the community in numerous charities throughout campus.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Spiguzza completed his masters degree in biology through Purdue University. Shortly after receiving his masters degree, Dr. Spiguzza attended dental school at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. At UMKC, Dr.Spiguzza received the McDavid Dental Scholarship for academic Excellence. Dr. Spiguzza enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and cooking.
