I am writing this as we begin the brand-new year of 2021. It is certainly a good time to reflect on the blessings and plain-old good luck to have spent over 40 years practicing dentistry in Tucson. Moving here after graduating from the University of Washington in 1980, I never expected to be in a community or a profession that would provide me with so much fulfillment. I am so lucky to have the opportunity now to work two days a week in the practice I love with the people, both team members and patients, that I love. As the wrinkles peek out from under my mask, I am frequently asked when I am going to retire. My answer is Never. I enjoy what I do and I am able to do it. Why would I stop?
Along the way, I have raised two children and spoiled two grandchildren. I have divided almost 40 years of marriage between two husbands (looks like this one is going to stick.) I have learned that I need to be embraced each day by the unconditional love of two dogs. My husband and I have a beautiful RV that allows us to escape the Tucson heat with the aforementioned dogs.
Dr. Nguyen is from Westminster, California and joined our practice in November of 2019. He graduated from dental school in 2017 from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Arizona Dental Association (AzDA) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Dr. Hibner is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Prior to attending University of Michigan, he received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Arizona. Dr. Hibner is a Tucson native and has been practicing for over 25 years. Because of his strong desire to provide the best possible dentistry, he has utilized the most current technology and attends many post graduate educational classes ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. Dr. Hibner is a member of the American Dental Association and the Southern Arizona Dental Society. Dr. Hibner is a past president of the Pima Dental Study Club and has been active in the community serving on assorted charitable boards.
Dr. Liu joined our practice in May of 2021. She is from Southern California. She graduated from dental school in 2018 from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Crystal has over 14 years of dental experience. Crystal began her career in the clinical side of patient care. Through experience and extensive continuing education courses she evolved to the management side of the dental practice.
She has thorough knowledge of the many nuances of various insurance companies and stays abreast with the ever changing rules and regulations. That, coupled with her familiarity with dental procedures greatly enhances her ability to help patients with the process and any of their concerns.
Christa graduated from the Wichita State Dental Hygiene Program in 1985. She has over 35 years of experience including 20 years of family dental practice and over 15 years in adult dentistry. She continues to stay current in Dental Hygiene topics and is committed to patients safety. Christa enjoys encouraging and assisting patients down their path to optimal oral health.
Becky is a simple farm girl from a large midwestern family. She became inspired by several family members in the dental profession and entered the prestigious Dental Hygiene College at Northern Arizona University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science. She has been helping improve and maintain better dental health since 2007. She provides personalized care to each client that has gained her large appreciative following. Her sincerity and dedication is respected by patients and fellow teammates alike. Bec is a proud member of the Arizona Dental Association and attends many continuing education courses throughout each year. When not in the office, she may be spotted trail running, biking or repelling cliffs. Seasonally, she slows down enough to maintain productive gardens that supply fresh vegetables to friends, family and teammates. We feel fortunate to have Bec on staff sharing her many talents.
Hello, my name is Mary. I began a career as a dental assistant in 1985 and I love my job! I have experience in general dentistry and periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery (including implant placement) and orthodontics. I love meeting new people and making them feel relaxed and comfortable. I have 3 Grandkids. I also have 2 dogs and enjoy hiking, swimming and watching movies. I hope to see you at our wonderful practice soon!
Jenny is a Certified Dental Assistant trained in all phases of dentistry. She primarily utilizes her skills in assisting the doctor at chair side and facilitating patient comfort. Her knowledge and personality greatly enhances our clients experience during their visit. When not assisting in treatment rooms, Jenny provides service to Business Administration and Customer Service. Her varied abilities and bright happy demeanor are appreciated by fellow team members as well as the people we serve. She has been a dental assistant since 2012. She had been a dental assistant in California and joined our practice when she moved to Tucson. She has a daughter named Aubrey. When she is not in the office, you will find her hiking to Tumamoc or shopping in Nogales, Mexico on the weekends.

I can honestly say that I look forward to going to the dentist. The whole office is wonderful. I have been going here since I moved to Tucson 5 yrs ago. The staff is caring, fun, and fantastic at what they do. If you are hesitant in the least little way, ask for Krista. My family loves her. Absolutely the best!

A five-star experience, all the way. Where should I begin? From the moment I step through the doorway, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and wow, my presence is acknowledged! The reception area and patient rooms are sanitized. Crystal and Amanda greet me with sincerity, and they are alert and know what's going on without the me even saying a word! They treat each patient with respect; they understand terminology, details, insurance, procedures and are responsive. They are so on top of everything. My dental assistants (I love Becky!!) are caring, knowledgeable and professional, all the way. Becky has always provided extra information and helpful guidelines for after-care. Without even my asking, Peggy spoke with my insurance, and was able to secure coverage for something they had previously denied!!! And Dr. Nguyen is awesome. I was terrified of having a filling replaced with a cap (who wants to go through this inconvenience?), but he shared the results of the radiographs, explained what he saw, explained what was happening, provided options for me, and then asked me, "Ok, what would you like to do?" The cap I have for my molar is superior, it fit perfectly, the color is great. Dr. Nguyen's professionalism is top-notch; I am so happy with the results of my visits. Wonderful office; this is a true team. I am so impressed and grateful, thank you!

Highly recommend Dr McGonigle! She is experienced and knowledgeable. A very common sense approach to dental care. Very good at explaining all the options and costs when there are decisions to be made. When you are with her, it's very apparent that she takes extreme pride in providing the absolute best dental care possible. Great staff too!

My excellent dentist retired and I had since been seeing someone who was apparently not so good and overlooked something that turned into a major issue. My dad goes to Dr McGonigle. She got me in right away and found a dentist in my area that had gone to the same additional schooling that she had. Talk about going above and beyond! I ended up having to have surgery. The Wisconsin dentist she connected me with was wonderful. I am forever grateful to her for taking such good care of me! A good dentist makes going regularly less scary and can add years to our good health!

I've been seeing dentists regularly now for over 50 years in the different places I have lived and without a doubt Carol and her team are by far the best and most skilled I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'm glad I'm planning on staying where I am and that I'll be relying on them for the excellent dental care I've lucky enough to receive so far!
