Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or clear plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear ormetal brackets and, in some cases, Invisalign, which are removable. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. In addition, we use cutting edgeheat-activatedwires, which are simply adjusted by rinsing with warm water. Today, any age is a great age to makeover your smile!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
Dr. Jesse Carmenis also a native of Columbus; he is Dr. RonCarmens son! The orthodontic field was a natural choice for Dr. Jesse as a result of watching his father in the profession for his entire life. His favorite thing about being anorthodontistis the opportunity to take part in increasing the self-esteem and self-confidence of all his patients.
Dr. Jesse entered our practice upon completion of his orthodontic residency atCase Western Reserve University. Prior to that, he received his bachelors degree from the University of Michigan honors program. He then graduated cum laude from theOhio State College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Science. Dr. Jesse has also been selected, by his peers, as Top Dentist which wasfeatured inColumbus Monthly Magazine.
Dr. Jesse is an Invisalign Gold Plus provider and currently a member of theAmerican Dental Association,American Association of Orthodontics,Ohio Dental Association,Columbus Dental Society, Central Ohio Study Group ofSeattle Study Club,World Federation of Orthodontists, andAdvanced Dental Concepts Study Club.
Dr. Jesse and his wife Alison live in Columbus with their adorable puppy Rosco. Dr. Jesse enjoys running, working out, watching sporting events and participating in outdoor activities such as camping, mountain climbing, skiing and white-water rafting.

I only have great things to say about Carmen Ortho and Dr. Jesse, but it started with his father who treated my son. I was so impressed with this office that I wouldn't want anyone to care for me. They are the best and they only want the best for anyone who sits in their chair. They are fair and understand all obstacles that can arise mentally, physically, emotionally, as well as, financially. There's a reason for all the hype regarding this office because the staff matches the vibe.

Tristan was well cared for before and during his appointment. However, once his braces and bands were placed neither Tristan nor myself (Dad) got any after care instruction. Its worth mentioning that our appointment appeared to be the last of the morning, we were the last the leave the office apparently before the Noon lunch brake. The doors were locked as we left. I had to do a youtube search for how to brush with braces and only found through another practice's video those techniques and tips. They also had a complete after care kit in their video which we did not get either. Hope lunch was tasty that day

My son and I had a great experience with the staff here. Everyone was friendly and helpful, probably one of the most positive interactions I've had at a business of any kind. Tammy was wonderful at providing information and explaining it in a way my son could also understand. We can't wait to see the beautiful smile he is able to achieve here when the time comes!

ever since the moment i first walked into the office i knew this would be a rewarding experience. and thus it was. every appointment leaves me with more hope that i'll finally achieve the perfect smile that i've dreamed of since i was a child. i thought i was a lost cause but carmen proved otherwise and i've never once regretted my decision.

I began wearing Invisalign for TMJ issues and the whole process could not have been easier! All procedures, expenses, and what to expect have been explained in detail and the documentation and reminders provided are so helpful. I was able to scan my teeth at home and send my scans through an app, which really cut down on the amount of appointments I had. Scanning and moving trays was such an easy and painless process! When I did have appointments Dr. Jesse and his staff at all three locations were so helpful, patient, and kind. I never feel rushed and any questions I have are always answered in detail. I leave every appointment feeling so good about my teeth! I am almost done with Invisalign and SO excited about my greatly improved smile! My journey with Invisalign has been a little over a year, which I think is a pretty impressive time for moving teeth around! I would HIGLY recommend contacting Carmen Orthodontics if you are thinking about fixing your teeth.

I was a previous Invisalign patient at another office. I wasn't pleased with my result but could not return there. After my consultation with Dr Jesse I felt confident he could fix the problems. I started my treatment yesterday and cannot wait to see the results.

Dr. Jesse and the team at Carmen Orthodontics are amazing! I've wanted straight teeth for as long as I could remember and although it was no easy feat, Dr. Jesse gave me a smile I never thought I would have! He listened to my concerns and made adjustments as necessary and was always honest about steps I would need to take after treatment to improve my smile even more. And I always enjoyed the pleasant nature of the staff. Such a great atmosphere! After the care my son and I received, I will definitely be back with my daughters and highly recommend to anyone looking to get top notch orthodontic treatment!

My son had some hard to fix issues with his teeth. Carmen Orthodontics did an amazing job of finding some miracle way of getting his teeth into line so he could smile and not be embarrassed but most importantly so he could eat without any issues. Dr. Jesse always made my son laugh. Every single appointment he was cracking up. The entire staff handled my sons fears and anxiousness with the utmost care. Very highly recommend
