Dr. Hovda graduated from IU School of Dentistry with High Distinction. Prior to her dental studies, she obtained degrees in both Biology and Chemistry and graduated Cum Laude. She was nominated and is an active member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which represents only the top 5% of dentists in the nation. She was also nominated by her dental colleagues to serve on the dental ethics board. Dr. Hovda also served as an appointed professor at IU School of Dentistry, teaching restorative dentistry techniques.
Since she began practicing dentistry, Dr. Hovda has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that her patients receive the highest quality comprehensive and advanced dental care. Dr. Hovda and her team of highly trained professionals have been nominated by their dental colleagues as Indys Top Dentist 9 years in a row, from 2011 through 2020. Dr. Hovda has also been published for her cosmetic restorative implant cases in journals around the world. Dr. Hovda is an active member of the following organizations:
Dr. Hovda has been married to her husband Tim for 23 years and they have two children, Cooper (16) and Lily (14). In her spare time, Dr. Hovda enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, cooking, and enjoying a good book.
Dr. Jackson graduated from University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Prior to her studies in dentistry, she graduated with High Honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with degrees in both Community Health and Chemistry. She also received the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award, Dawson Academy Award, American Academy of Maxillofacial Radiology Award, and the Academy of Dental Materials Award. Dr. Jackson is currently serving in the Department of Cariology, Operative Dentistry, and Dental Public Health at Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Jackson has been actively involved in service and mission trips locally and internationally to Ecuador and Honduras. Serving these communities has provided life-changing experiences and has confirmed her passion for the dental profession. Dentistry has allowed her to provide a unique skill set to serve those in need, and she believes that it is the duty of a healthcare provider to use the gifts and education they have been given to provide the highest level of care to others. She commits to serve our community with the same intent.
Dr. Jackson is dedicated to staying current in her continuing education and providing the highest quality of care to her patients. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She enjoys learning the newest techniques and research in dentistry. Dr. Jackson values that the dental profession allows for continuous self-directed education and critique.
When Dr. Jackson is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Clay and their dog, Lucy. Dr. Jackson enjoys traveling, biking, cooking, volunteering, being involved in her church, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Harmon graduated from Midwestern University in Illinois. Before dental school, she graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana with a degree in Kinesiology. Dr. Harmon worked as a front desk administrator and a dental assistant at a dental office and orthodontist office, respectively, before applying to dental school.
Growing up, Dr. Harmon more or less lived in the dental chair. With supernumerary teeth, congenitally missing teeth, and a propensity for cavities, it was lucky that she enjoyed going to the dentist. She had incredible dentists who did amazing work and ignited her interest in dentistry. The moments that she remembers most vividly are when she felt like she was being heard by her dentists and that they truly cared about her well-being. From these moments, she knew that she wanted to strive to be the dentist that not only did great work, but also empathized with and took the time to listen to patients. She commits to serving her patients with this philosophy every day.
Dr. Harmon enjoys that dentistry is a career that is always evolving. Staying up to date with the most current techniques and newest science-based research is something she looks forward to doing throughout her career.
When outside of the office, Dr. Harmon can be found enjoying time with her fianc, Derek, and their cat, Chip. She has taught fitness classes since 2010, and continues to teach cycling classes every so often. She also enjoys running, weight lifting, reading, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

I really like this dental office. I am new to Indiana. Dr. Hovda and her staff are wonderful, courteous and professionals. I am so afraid of dental offices (because I'm such a big baby), and I'm so happy they offer nitrous gas services to their patients, which makes a big difference for me. Overall, I was very happy during my first visit. I recommend them.

I unfortunately stopped seeing a dentist between graduating from college, starting a new job, moving to a new state, and the pandemic starting all within about 6 months of one another. Both Dr. Hovda and my hygienist, Amy, were extremely kind and compassionate when it came to my dental care. They made sure to explain what was happening as it was going on and why they were doing a couple of the things they did, as well as asking if I wanted a periodontal screening before adding it on to my visit. I was nervous about going to the dentist again after such a long time but they made sure to make me feel comfortable and work on a treatment plan with me to get my dental/oral health back on track. I also really struggle with the scraping part of dental cleanings and when I told my hygienist this she made sure to continue speaking to me about what else I can do to keep up with my oral health to distract me from it. Another thing I really appreciated was the attention to detail when it came to talking about pricing and what is usually covered by insurance. Even the women in the front office made sure we went over what may or may not be covered by insurance with me as we scheduled out my treatment plan. I'm grateful for such quality care and highly recommend Carmel Dental Group for your needs.

This dentist office is seriously the best one you will ever go to. Honestly, this is actually just one of the best places, in general, I've ever been to, haha...Right when you walk in, everything is so calming, and the entire staff is SO incredibly friendly and welcoming. They all take the time to explain procedures, which helps calm nerves if there is something new you have to go through. Not only were they wonderful with myself and my husband, but also with our 10-year-old daughter who had her first dentist visit, and was VERY nervous. They knew just what to say and do to help calm her down and feel more comfortable. I absolutely love this place :)

8-18-22 I see Dr. Hovda regularly and wanted to update my review. She and her entire wonderful staff need 10 STARS! Every single visit. I am so thankful to have honest, ethical, kind people surrounding me when I am there. What a blessing! 2018: Wonderful doctor and staff. Kind, caring and very ethical. Dr. Olga is very thorough and careful. I have never had such a great experience at a dental office. They exceed excellence! So glad I came here!

I rescheduled the night before my appointment not realizing I had made it for the wrong date and now I'm being charged $50. I've been going here for a while now and have since found a new dentist. I've never had this happen with any medical practice. I'm being treated as if I didn't show up at all

Carmel dental group is an exceptional dental office. Years ago, I went to this dental office, from the first visit, I was so impressed with everyone in the clinic, how kind, nice, courteous and very professioal. Dr. Hovda is an excellent dentist with amazing bedside manners, kind, compassionate and make people feel at ease.Since my experience was very enjoyable, I had my husband and daughters go there. They all had similar excellent experience. I highly recommend Carmel dental office.

So so so happy with the care I received here. I have had this childhood trauma of what going to the dentist is. Carmel Dental Group and everyone that helped me with my procedure completely eliminated that for me. I had to unfortunately have a crown and root canal done. Root canal was done somewhere else, but they referred me to an amazing DR across the street and later assisted me with my next procedure. You guys completely changed the way I feel about going to the dentist and I will most definitely recommend them and continue to go for any follow ups or treatment.

Dr. Hovda and her team are without any question in my mind the best dental practice I have ever experienced. Dr. Hovda was great - both very professional and very friendly. It is clear that Dr. Hovda sets a very high standard of professionalism for herself and her practice. Based on my experience the entire office lives up to that high standard. The front desk is very welcoming and pleasant; my appointment started right on time, my hygienist was very professional - friendly and personable, but not too chatting, very focused on her work and explaining everything she was doing, and very very thorough; the office layout is such that there is privacy and I am not overhearing the dental procedures of the person next door. I would have to struggle to find anything at all to be even the least bit critical of. I only wish that all my other doctors ran their practices this way. Dr. Hovda should give lessons to other doctors on how to run medical practices and offices!

I enjoy going to see Dr. Hovda and the staff at Carmel Dental Group. I look forward to seeing the wonderful employees twice a year and learning about what is new in their lives. The staff is kind, gentle, caring and provide a wonderful overall experience. I recommend trying this office if you are looking for an exceptional overall experience with your Dentist. I am glad I was referred to this office when I moved here 4 years ago. Dr. Hovda and the employees are 10 star worthy on the 5 star scale!

One of the worst experience I've had! I went for a basic cleaning. During the cleaning, the dental hygienist was causing extensive pain to the point I said "ouch stop" but she didn't. I had to physically pull her hand from my mouth at which point she says "you could have really hurt yourself". Also there was so much blood coming from my gums and mascara all over my face from the tears because of the pain I was in. Then the dentist came in and said I had 8 cavities that needed to be filled and 3 spots we had to watch. Now I've been routinely going to the dentist for years. I haven't had a cavity in over 8 years. Today I went and got a second opinion before allowing them to drill on my teeth, and guess what the new dentist told me... I only have 1 spot we need to watch and no cavities. But if apparences matter to you, the office was very pretty.
