For over 18 years, Dr. Ricky Carlyle has been specializing in the treatment of patients who have had bad experiences with dentists in the past. He is one of two dentists who offer sedation dentistry to residents of Kinston and Greenville, NC.Dr. Carlyle is licensed in North Carolina, board certified for Sedation Dentistry by the NC State Dental Board and a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, NC Dental Society, NC Dental Association, NC Center for Cosmetic Dentistry and Doc Sedation. He understands that visiting the dentist can be traumatic for many patients, which is why he takes the time to ensure each procedure is relaxing. Dr. Carlyle offers the following services:
Kinston dentist, Dr. Carlyle is an active member of the community and always takes the time to personally meet and get to know his patients. Dr. Matthew Olson is a native of the Midwest whose career has spanned all the way from the Pacific Northwest to Minnesota, and, now (joyfully), the Eastern United States. He graduatedsumma cum laudefrom the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Studies. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University where he received distinction in the area of Fixed Prosthodontics and dedicated his time to public health outreach programs for at risk populations.
Dr. Olsons clinical experience has included providing care to refugee and underserved populations, as well as the full spectrum of general and cosmetic dental services in family dentistry. He strives to provide high quality care, through continuing dental education and cutting edge technology, including 3D intraoral scanning. He is a firm believer in providing individualized treatment planning to each patient. He aims to support patient goals of care by listening to patient needs and sharing his insight through open communication.
Dr. Olson is proud to make a home in Greenville with his family. His wife is a pediatric surgeon at East Carolina University, and together the two Pirates are proud to bring their passion for quality patient care to Eastern North Carolina. They both agree that the best care is provided when taking the person, their family, and the individual goals and challenges into consideration.

Dr. Ricky Carlyle has specialized in treating patients with high levels of dental anxiety for over 18 years. Our staff always takes the time to explain your procedure, including different stages of the process and how each may feel. We will take everything slowly, and will always ensure you are completely comfortable before proceeding.

Dr. Carlyle and his entire staff have been a true pleasure for each of my visits! Just had my first Invisalign consultation this week and it was pretty crazy how simple it was. Definitely recommending them to everyone I know!

My dentist is HJ brown and associates , and they sent me here to get a root canal I was nervous at first because I've never been to this dentist before , I didn't know how they were going to treat me but they service was great , I didn't feel a thing , and they where all nice and gentle I would recommend them

super friendly people! i went in for a root canal yesterday and they made sure i was comfortable and was numbed well. didn't feel a thing! definitely recommend going here

As a an older girl (mid 30s) with a crowded mouth full of teeth who has been scared of going to the dentist for years, I can say that I've had a positive experience at Carlyle dental. I have always hated the dentist. I never had good experiences as a teenager or a child. It took me many years and some self encouragement to walk into a dentist clinic again as a middle aged adult. I can say that I have felt more at ease in this office than I ever expected. The girls in the front office are great. I wish I was better at remembering name's. The woman (she's a girl mom, she's got 2 little girls) who saw me today was awesome. She was beyond awesome! And I believe I've talked to Dr. Olson every time I've been there. He's great too.

Dr Carlyle, is an awesome Dentist. He has been my dentist for 16 or 17 years. I have never had a problem with him nor his staff. They have always been very helpful and considerate of me, my services has always been done immaculate. From my experience he's the best dentist in Kinston, NC.
