Dr. Michelle Dumiller Carlton was born and raised in the Denham Springs area. After getting her braces as an adolescent, Dr. Carlton knew she wanted to be an orthodontist. She loved her new smile and wanted to be able to give that to others. She is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. Dr. Carlton was inducted as member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society while attending LSUHSC. Following a one-year general practice residency, Dr. Carlton completed a two-year orthodontic residency program at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. Dr. Carlton always knew she wanted to come home to Denham Springs to practice orthodontics.
Dr. Carlton enjoys working with both children and adults, helping them achieve beautiful smiles. It is her goal to provide the highest quality orthodontic care in a fun and friendly environment. She wants orthodontic treatment to be a positive experience for everyone!
When not in the office, Dr. Carlton enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben, and their children, Cooper and Kyleigh. They are members of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs. They are big LSU fans!
Our staff is uniquely trained and highly skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and multiple certifications, and each one of our team members has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Angela joined Carlton Orthodontics in May 2020. She is a graduate of Holden High School Class of 2012. She is an EDDA certified assistant and has been working in the Dental field since 2014. Angela enjoys creating relationships with our patients along side Dr. Carlton and the team.
Courtney will be the person that helps you with your insurance and financial needs. She was in general dentistry for six years before joining Carlton Orthodontics in May of 2021. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Business from Columbus State University in 2010. She enjoys working with Dr. Carlton and the rest of the team as well as watching our patients smiles transform!
Emily joined Carlton Orthodontics in May of 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 2013. She has been working in the orthodontic field since 2015. Her main focus is to establish friendly relationships with patients while providing excellent patient care.
Meagan joined Carlton Orthodontics in November 2021. She is a graduate of Denham Springs High School class of 2010. She started working in the dental field in 2011. Meagan enjoys working side by side with the team and Dr. Carlton and being a part of transforming our patients smiles.
Melanie joined Carlton Orthodontics in June of 2014. She is a graduate of Denham Springs High School class of 2011. She is X-ray and E.D.D.A certified. Melanie enjoys working side by side with Dr. Carlton and establishing relationships with our patients and their families.
Suzana joined Carlton Orthodontics in May of 2016. She is a graduate of Woodlawn High School class of 2011. She is X-ray and E.D.D.A certified. Suzana enjoys working on patients and revealing their new smile!

I will never go back to Dr Michelle after receiving a very, very, nasty letter from her because my son had not seen her since late 2019. First and foremost, Dr Michelle if you remember correctly Covid came around right after that and the whole entire WORLD was in an uproar furthermore, dentist offices we closed for a while. With that being said, you do not know our circumstances. Did you even try to call to see if we could come to you after the complete upmost chaos that was going on in our lives. Nope, sure didn't!! Then in your very nasty letter you put that you would no longer see us and P.S. call to make an appointment to remove what is in my sons mouth. I'm quite confused, are you breaking up with us or you still want to dig in our pockets one more time. I don't think so, you actually think that I would let you put your instruments in our mouth or even come close to us with you being so aggressive in the letter. Not at all, not after I received such a hateful letter from you. In the future, I would be more professional and polite to your patients. By all means we are trusting you with our mouth. Good Luck!!

Dr. Carlton office staff was very friendly and informative. They made me and my son feel very comfortable through the process. The facility is very clean. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them to all family and friends.
