We really love being a part of the Stillwater community! Most of the staff as well as Dr. Sarah Carlson have spent their lives in and around the Stillwater area. Some recent groups weve donated to are Andersen Elementary, Stillwater Girls LaCrosse Booster Club, and Stillwater Area High School. Dr. Carlson and her husband are both animal lovers and donate frequently to the Animal Humane Society as well as the MN State Patrol Troopers Association.

When Dr. Sarah Carlson purchased a dental office in Stillwater from Dr. Ned Windmiller in 2018, she fulfilled a dream. Raised in Bayport and a graduate of Stillwater Area High School, Dr. Carlson couldnt be more grateful to care for her neighbors, family and friends.
Dr. Windmiller operated the dental office for 40 years before Dr. Carlson took the reins. Now leading her own practice, shes excited to continue doing what shes done throughout her 15-year career: providing careful, complete dental care to her patients.
Two years in, Carlson Dental Group is already expanding. Dr. Michael Rohlf, an award-winning Midwestern dentist, joined the practice this summer. Dr. Rohlf and Dr. Carlson are aligned in their goal of keeping their patients teeth healthy and functioning well, in addition to looking great.

Absolutely. A custom mouthguard from our team of doctors will help preserve your tooth enamel and reduce stress on your jaws. A custom mouthguard may also help alleviate associated issues such as jaw problems, clicking or popping in the jaw, or unexplained headaches.
Traditional braces are no longer the only way to treat crooked teeth. Today we can treat many alignment issues with Invisalign. Instead of using metal braces or wires, Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to straighten teeth. The treatment is shorter (between 12 to 18 months), and the aligners are virtually invisible!

Amazing experience. I had a piece crack off of my porcelain crown on my front tooth. I brought the piece in without any real hope it could be repaired or if it could... it would be a follow up visit. Instead Dr Carlson assessed it, and fixed it - so well that it doesn't even look like anything ever broke off. She was not only extremely talented and skilled at this, she was real, honest, kind and trustworthy. I am literally planning on switching my regular dentist care over to her as a result of this experience! Thanks

Update: I have been using Dr Carlson for a few years now. She and her staff are the best! For my last cleaning they used new ultrasonic cleaning equipment that did a great job and was more comfortable than the traditional methods. I had to have a crown made and several fillings done as well. They turned out great! I highly recommend this clinic Original review: With all the Covid19 problems I was a bit concerned about going to the dentist. But, Dr Carlson and her staff take all precautions and provide a very safe yet comfortable setting. I was very pleased with the hygienist, I wish I could remember her name. She was gentle yet thorough and explained what was happening every step of the way. Dr. Carlson performed a careful thorough exam. Because I am a new patient, she explained what her care plan would be. The office is modern, and to my eye, appears to have all modern equipment. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Carlson and her staff to anyone.

The dental hygienist, Sally, does a great job, and is very personable I was a bit puzzled by Dr Carlson's comments regarding a future treatment plan. I would have appreciate a brochure or other written document explaining what she was referencing.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Rolf. I was very nervous due to a traumatic dental experience before and this visit was the exact opposite. I needed a tooth extracted and was able to get in the same day. They were warm and friendly. Explained everything and answered all questions. The extraction itself was painless and quick. I've needed dental work done for quite a while but due to fear and anxiety I have avoided it. They eased those fears and I will be back to get my teeth back to good. Thank you so much!

The people in this office are just great! Dr. Carlson and her staff are friendly and professional. I spent decades being afraid of the dentist and have needed a lot of work because of it. I'm never apprehensive about going to Dr. Carlson. Nicole is one of the best dental hygienists I've been to. She is extremely thorough and spends as much time as necessary to make sure you understand how to take care of you teeth. Great dentist office!

My first time back since health problems and then pandemic. Very positive experience - Sam did a great job with cleaning my overdue teeth and is so pleasant to work with. We made a plan to get optimal oral health back on track and I signed up for their in group insurance plan that seemed best for my personal needs. So far so good - am actually looking forward to next steps without the usual dread prior to dental appointments. I had a bad experience in a different dental office so am so pleased to be with Sam and Dr. Carlson.

Great experience. Came in for a filling (with much anxiety) expecting the traditional Novocain and drill and was pleasantly surprised! No Novocain and no drill! Dr. Carlson used the Solera Laser and although I was a bit apprehensive the entire experience was awesome! Dr. Carlson and her team take the time to inform and answer any questions and concerns before starting any procedure. Highly recommend!!

Had a lovely experience at the dentist today. Don't hear that much! Especially with my crew! We all three had fabulous experiences from the minute we walked through the door. Everyone was helpful and smiley and kind. They addressed our concerns with patience and knowledge and made us feel like we'd known them forever. I have a middle schooler that has a very real fear of the dentist and they talked golf and baseball with him and eased his mind. Both doctors and both hygienists were just lovely.

Dr Carlson performed laser therapy for a couple different treatments and it was quick, and no Novocain - just some numbing spray. Very cool technology.
