At Carlsbad Village Orthodontics, we provide a fun, comfortable and clean environment. We strive to continually educate ourselves and are up to date on the latest advances and techniques in orthodontics. We exceed guidelines for sanitization and instrument sterilization to protect the health of you and your family members. Our office is also fully ADA compliant to accommodate individual needs.

In-House Records Because your time and convenience are important to us, all orthodontics records, including photographs, models, and digital x-rays, are taken right here in our office. This eliminates the need for our patients to travel to outside laboratories or pay additional fees for these services, which are necessary for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Sterilization All sterilization equipment and techniques exceed the OSHA, CDC, and ADA guidelines and include ultrasonic rinsing and steam sterilization. We use universal precautions for barriers and have a filtration and treatment system for all incoming water. Your safety and comfort are an important part of your orthodontic care.

Dr. Sionit has enjoyed creating beautiful smiles since 2003. Prior to co-establishing Carlsbad Village Orthodontics, she was successful as a solo practitioner and as a member of group practice. She is a native of San Diego where she attended UCSD and graduated Cum Laude with studies in Psychology, Chemistry and Spanish. She earned her doctorate degree with Magna Cum Laude honors at UCLAs Dental program where she also served as the Dental Student Body President and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. Dr. Sionit subsequently completed the Orthodontic Specialty Program at the University of Washington where she also earned her Master of Science in Dentistry.

Dr. Sionit is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and California Dental Association. She has conducted extensive clinical research in the evaluation of expansion appliances, headgear appliances and the facial effects of growth modification. She continually updates herself on the latest research developments, treatment methods and appliances. Her broad background has given her the ability to address the unique needs of each patient and provide the highest quality of care. She takes pleasure in creating beautiful smiles for her patients and spending time with family. Her hobbies include snowboarding, cooking and international travel.

Dr. Kelly Ryan Taylor is a native of Carlsbad, CA. Dr. Taylor attended the University of California Los Angeles where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology. Upon graduation, she stayed at UCLA for dental school where she was awarded numerous awards for her clinical and academic performance. Dr. Taylor graduated in the top of her class with high honors and was selected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Dr. Taylor was then fortunate enough to attend the prestigious University of Washington Orthodontic Residency Program. Here Dr. Taylor received her Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Taylor has extensively studied the relationship between orthodontic treatment and quality of life. She has presented her research internationally and has published her studies in American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the most acclaimed orthodontic research journal. Dr. Taylor is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest mark given to orthodontists. She is also an active member in many dental organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, California Orthodontic Association, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Taylor is excited to be back home in Carlsbad to improve the smiles of patients in North County. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, sports, and rooting on the Bruins.

Lanie works with all of our new patients and to see that your time here is easy and enjoyable. She has been in the orthodontic field for almost 10 years. She has a true passion and enthusiasm for helping patients with their orthodontic treatment planning while going above and beyond for every patient! Lanie strives to make your experience no less than exceptional. Being a San Diego native, Lanie takes full advantage of what it has to offer. When shes not seeing our fabulous patients, she is somewhere having fun in the sun! From riding her Harley, to jet skiing the river, or snowboarding our close slopes, she is always up for an adventure!

You will find Renee at our front desk, and youre going to love her. She is always willing to help patients with their needs; its what she loves to do. She lives here in North County with her 3 children and is very active with their sports and school activities. Her favorite things to do are snowboarding, cooking, arts and crafts, a good movie and anything with family and friends.

Brittany is a lifetime resident of Oceanside. She has been in the dental field for 15 years and loves working in orthodontics. She especially enjoys ortho because she gets to watch patients smiles transform. At home, her husband Roy, daughter Olivia and son Cruz keep her busy. When not at work, she loves spending time with family, having picnics at the beach and playing with her kids at the park.

Kerube grew up in Oceanside, CA and has been an orthodontic assistant since 2014. Her favorite part of the day is when patients braces come off and you get to see their new smile for the first time. She loves to see the transformations in our patients smiles! Kerube is married to Buddy and they have four fur babies: Luna, a Dutch Shepherd, a French Bulldog and two guinea pigs. When not traveling with Buddys band, she enjoys hiking and listening to music.

Amanda started her ortho career in San Clemente in 2007 and fell in love with the awesome science that is orthodontics. In 2009, Amanda and her husband bought a house in Oceanside where she spent a few years building her family and being a stay at home mom. She has 3 boys who are all in school now allowing Amanda to have time to get back to the field she enjoys most. Meeting new people and giving them a smile they love to show off has to be the best part of the job! Amanda loves the outdoors and goes hiking and camping whenever she can. If you are an animal lover, you need to chat with Amanda. She has a farm of her own at home.

Meli was born in Germany but has lived in the US for 20 years now! She has one beautiful adult daughter and has her own VERY COOL Jewelry business. Meli has an amazingly witty sense of humor which adds quite a bit of character to our office. She has been an Orthodontic Assistant for the past 12 years and her favorite part of her job is getting to know all our amazing patients! When she is not at work she loves to spend time in nature, especially the beautiful San Diego coastline.
