Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

First time and the staff was great! Check-in was a breeze. The assistant was great at taking the x-ray, explained everything to me before doing it. Dr Davis is amazing and explained the treatment plan clearly. Everyone looks happy to be working here. They even asked me what time I needed to be done!!

Updated review: I went to another dentist today and she stated my mom did NOT require deep cleaning. Be very careful of what they recommend..they are trying to scam you! Do NOT go here!!! Original review: Took my mom in for a basic cleaning and dentist recommended a deep cleaning and did not perform a basic one. Felt like he just wanted more money and charged insurance for x-rays. Do not recommend

I was charged for a cleaning I did not receive. I spent the two hours of my new patient visit getting x-rays, waiting and the hygienist only flossed my teeth at the end. I recently received a bill saying I received services from a visit I did not attend. Part of the $600 inlay I paid out of pocket for has fallen out and I now have a hole in my tooth. My tooth is going to rot. I don't have insurance anymore, so I cannot get it fixed. My bite is off and I don't feel comfortable going back to them either. Really unhappy with this practice. It's really hard to talk to them on the phone because my name is spelled wrong in their system and cannot find me most of the time, and they haven't corrected it. The dentists go from patient to patient during your visit, so you will spend a lot of time waiting for them to finish your teeth. They'd do some drilling, then leave and you'll hear them in the other room with another patient. I was left wondering if gloves are even changed when they do this. It also took 4 different tries to numb me, maybe that wasn't their fault, but I've never had that experience before and being jabbed in the gums 15 times was quite unpleasant. I also waited 45 mins after my appointment time to be seen. They will tell you that your insurance covers a service, then later on bill you for it. My grandmother highly recommended this place and am disappointed in the services I received.

Over billed $745. My insurance statement from Sharp Delta Dental stated very clearly my portion was $490. I was told by the front desk that the crown was $1200 of which I paid and then upon returning g for a cleaning they charged me $35, which according to my insurance I was not supposed to be billed for. Will not be returning as a patient.

Before I had booked my appointment, I had read some pretty concerning reviews so I was a bit nervous going in for two in-lays. Also, I have pretty sensitive gums. Dr Davis treated me and I have to say, I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He was patient, thoroughly explained the procedures to me, made sure I was comfortable, and with the help of his team, properly placed my inlays. The day after the procedure I had to go back in for an adjustment which is common after and inlay treatment. I was able to book a morning appointment without any delay. In this case, I am very happy with the services at Carlsbad Village Faire Dentists and Orthodontists.

Dr. Davis basically ruined my teeth. He did 4 or 5 crowns for me, and at one point or another, all of them fell out at least once. Understandable, right? Except the part where he kept reinstalling the same crown, when they are clearly not well fitted. Prior to losing the crowns I had to visit multiple times for each tooth because the bite was off and each installation took close to 6 hours. They have some of the root canal work outsourced to a doctor that visits twice a month. During one of my visits he was so busy, I was under nitrous for almost 2 hours. One of those crowns I had done, fell off more than the rest and each time Dr. Davis blamed it on cavities getting under the crown. No matter! He kept shaving the cavities and reinstalling THE SAME ILL FITTING CROWN to the point the tooth was almost flat. Today that crown fell off for the last time and took half of what was left of my tooth out with it. I spent close to 5k in this office, and now im gonna have to pay the same amount again just to fix the mistakes that cost me my teeth. I will never visit again. I hope they don't bother replying to this review because no, I will not call the office, and no, I will not be revisiting.

Terrible experience; during examination, it was heavily emphasized to get a deep cleaning. When inquired with to ascertain affordability, the hygienist had no estimation on cost. Once I found out the price (as well as future costs of other work they want to do down the line), I said I could not afford a $620 'deep cleaning,' at which point they would not clean my teeth or continue.

Today I had my first visit with CVFD and was quite pleased! From the moment I made the appointment everyone I've met there has exceeded my expectations. Staff is professional and very informative. Best of all Dr. Davis was friendly, caring and gentle. So glad I found them and looking forward to my next visit!

I have gone to this practice several years. Everyone there is very nice, that being said, I did not like their scheduling practice, I was always there a very long time, especially once I was put in a room. It appeared that the dentist was working on more than one patient at a time, as they would make an excuse and leave for awhile, then come back and finish the work. I was there once for 3 hours to have permanent crown put on. I've had a lot of issues with the last crown Dr Mercer did, I got two other opinions and was told that it needed to be redone, I did not feel comfortable going back to that office and tried to get my money back which they wouldn't do. They did offer to replace it there by another doctor, at this point I have lost faith in this office, and have decided to go elsewhere, unfortunately that will be an expensive crown and I will have to pay for it twice. I originally went to them because they are on my insurance plan. it's not all about money, my comfort level is more important.

No rushing, no pushing to get more than you have asked for, doesn't leave you for an hour in a chair by yourself without telling you what's up and comes in to check on you and explains every detail!!!!! OUTSTANDING! Rachel the Dental Hygienist on first impression is also very good at her job!!! Several young women who assisted seem extremely good at their job and all very pleasant!! Ruth stood out!! One of the worst service I have ever received. I went to this dentist for a exam and cleaning. They kept me there for one and half hours trying to sell me a deep cleaning (which I got done barely a year ago) When I told them I am not comfortable doing it now because it's not recommended to do it so often they came back saying I have an issue with the price. When they finally got around to the cleaning, it was by far the most amateur cleaning I have ever had. The doctor didn't even use the powered scaler which is a basic service during cleaning. Now I have to go somewhere else out-of-pocket to get it done.

Carlsbad Village Faire has been my dental office for years and my experience with the office staff--always excellent; hygienists and dental assistants--all very personable and all but one, (I'd only recently seen once and seemed inexperienced) excellent; and with my previous Dentist, Dr. Mercer (who is now on leave) and team (espcially Endodontist, Horst Dziura)--excellent. As my usual dentist is on leave, I saw Dr. EDWARD DAVIS, JR. for the first time to replace a crown. He was outstanding! My mouth is very small, I require more shots than most to numb, and I am annoyingly paranoid. He was calming and professional, as was his wonderful assistant, and he delivered my many shots expertly and with negligible pain (I only barely felt the first one.) He performed the entire procedure with intuitive skill and expertise, putting me at ease (which isn't easy). Everything was done in one visit with excellent results, including all X-rays, mold and final crown (and with no charge since it was an eligible replacement.) I highly recommend Dr. Davis.

First off, not many people actually enjoy going to dentist. So most people likely come in with pain or not in the best mood. However, Dr. Davis is the best! His demeanor is so calming and relaxing yet professional. I had an unexpected tooth emergency. Got me in same day, and took care of my emergency. Impressed with this office, the 3D printing tech, and I really feel like they go above and beyond any typical dentists I have seen in the past. Keep up the great work!

I've been going here for my dental work for the past two years. Everyone is very friendly and they do great work. I liked that I didn't feel pressured to get work done. I can tell they genuinely want to help me. They are always front about pricing with my insurance and gave more other less expensive options. I never felt like I was being upsold Like I have at other dentists. Athena is always delightful to speak to and Dr Davis has great bedside manner. Going to the dentist is rarely fun but I finally found a place I enjoy going to. Keep up the great work team!

Best ever. Went here for the first time in an "emergency" situation because I was having intense jaw pressure from my bottom wisdom teeth. They got me an appointment the same day, I was asked "Is this all you want to focus on today?" I said yes. Absolutely no upselling at any point. Even then, I wanted to just do the bottom two and not touch my top ones, and they did not try to force me into removing all of them (although later it just made sense to, and not much difference in $$). They scheduled me for the next date the oral surgeon would be there, who was Dr. Nasseri-Nosar, and also helped with managing the jaw pain I was experiencing. I was told I was to be given general anesthesia, which concerned me, but later confirmed this was actually just IV sedation and Dr. Nasseri said he could go light with the sedation if I was comfortable with that. I was a super anxious patient when it came to the sedation (probably one of his worst patients), but the staff managed to calm me down and focus, and honestly it went swimmingly. It was over so fast (I vaguely remember bits and pieces of the surgery and it was fine), I came to feeling *mostly* normal, they made sure I was caught up on the aftercare, and Dr. Nasseri called me about an hour after to check in since he wasn't able to have a moment with me post-op and conscious. I also want to add when it came to pricing, it was exceptionally well-priced. I had unique insurance circumstances but the office staff has it DOWN. Definitely the most intelligent office staff in the business I've seen so far. 10/10 would recommend. My boyfriend who accompanied me and witnessed the whole ordeal was also incredibly impressed.
