Dr. Marta grew up in Orange County where her father still practices dentistry. She went to Universtity of Alabama and Georgia Tech,and played volleyball for both schools. She then went to Medical College of Georgia and Loma Linda School of Dentistry, where she received her DDS.
Dr. Marta has limited her practice to children, because after seeing so many adults who have terrible fears of the dentist, she thought she could help give kids a better start to a healthy mouth. She loves hearing from parents that their children couldnt wait to come to the office! She truly enjoys working with children, and helps out in her own kids classes, as well as helping coach their teams. Shecan often be found playing volleyball, tennis, or spending time with her three great kids!
Victoria graduated from San Diego State University. During her time in Dentistry she has done everything from dental assisting, front office receptionist, insurance coordinator, practice manager, and is our practices RDA. While in the office you will find her doing a multitude of jobs but her passion is helping her patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile. She considers the mouth to be incredibly important in systemic function and over all well-being. She devotes her time to educating and building long lasting relationships with her patients .

Dr. Penman came highly recommended by a friend of mine when we moved here from across the country. I'm beyond happy with how easygoing and personable she is. My two boys are never scared to make a visit, even when getting a few stubborn baby teeth pulled, there was never a single tear shed! She's the best and I would recommended her to anyone with children!

Dr. Penman is amazing with my boys. They actually look forward to their appointments. Being a military family, I appreciate the knowledge and professionalism her office provides. We are so fortunate to have found Carlsbad Pediatric Dental Care! I would recommend to everyone!

My son chipped 3 teeth and they were amazing. They were very nice and understanding. They did everything quickly while helping ensure my son wasn't scared. And they know how to handle a squirmy toddler. Definitely my #1 choice for any future dentist visits.

My son has sensory issues and was very nervous having someone stick thongs in his mouth. Dr. Marta was kind, straight forward and encouraging throughout the visit.

After 11 years, the Penmans feel like family. I wouldn't take my children anywhere else. I wish they would take older patients.

We love Carlsbad Pediatric Dental. The dentists are amazing and great with the kids. I would recommend everybody to come and have a wonderful and delightful dental experience. Our family gives them 2 thumbs up.

My three children ages 9, 13, and 16 were all seen by Dr. Marta. They have always dreaded going to any dentist, but all three were comfortable from the minute they stepped in the door. I attribute this to the kid-friendly atmosphere and professional staff who really know how to interact with children and teens. Absolutely high quality amazing dental service every visit! Dr. Marta is the best!
