Edward Adourian, DDS, owner and head clinical director of Carlsbad Dental Associates, is a leading general and cosmetic dentist in North San Diego county. Having earned his doctorate degree in dental surgery, Dr. Adourian has been practicing dentistry for over twenty years. Before moving to California in 2007, he has worked in Boston in collaboration with renowned dental technician Yasu Kawabe in creating Hollywood smiles on the East Coast.

Dr. Brown is an expert in family and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Brown majored in Microbiology at California State University Fresno. Upon his completion of undergraduate studies Dr. Brown attended the University of California Los Angeles, graduating with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Brown has been practicing dentistry for over 35 years, and is committed to providing the best dental care possible.
Dr. Brown owned his own practice for over 25 years and thought he would like to retire. Upon the sale of his practice he realized he loved providing quality care for his patients and decided to return to practicing dentistry. Dr. Browns calm and caring personality allows his patients to relax and trust in his professional treatment.
Dr. Mudd is a graduate of University California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, he served as a resident for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 1982 Dr. Mudd received his Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After serving in the Air Force practicing dentistry he retired as a Colonel USAF Reserve. Dr. Mudd has been in private practice in the North San Diego County for over 35 years.
Dr. Mudd holds many professional affiliations: American Academy of Dental Radiology, Diplomat, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow of the American College of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow of International Association for Maxillofacial Surgery, Member of American Military Surgeons of the United States (AMSUS) and Charter Member of International TMJ Arthoscopy Study Group.
Dr. Park has been a certified endodontist since 1999. She did her undergraduate studies at the University California Los Angeles. She completed her dental school at Columbia University and finished her Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Park was a lecturer at the University of Los Angeles and then an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry.

Dr. Patrick Huston received his dental degree at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Following seven years of private general dental practice, he went on to get a certificate in advanced periodontics at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. As a board certified periodontist, Dr. Hustons primary expertise is in the field of comprehensive periodontal disease management and complex implant dentistry. He remains on the forefront of his profession by providing training and professional services in conservative laser periodontal care, minimally invasive periodontal plastic surgery, implant surgery using the All-on-4 treatment concept, and complex regenerative and reconstructive therapies with autogenous and biologic materials with BMP. He strives to make periodontal and implant treatments friendly to patients and referrals by communicating and utilizing optimal diagnostics with CBCT scans and digital impression techniques.
Dr. Huston is currently an associate professor in the Department of Advanced Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University. Dr. Huston is a member of the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontics, California Society of Periodontics, International Congress of Oral Implantologists,American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, and the American and California Dental Associations.
In addition to private and group practice he has served on the faculty of New York University and New York medical college and on staff as a surgical orthodontist treating cleft palate and other complex craniofacial patients.
As an orthodontic practitioner and educator Dr. Saper understands the importance of communication, not only with his patients and their parents, but also the rest of their dental team headed by their primary dentist.
A native of north San Diego County, Dr Saper graduated from UC San Diego and then the UCLA school of Dentistry. He went on to Study Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopedics at St Louis University and continued his training with additional specialized experience in the treatment of complex surgical cases in conjunction with the University of Illinois Department of Oral Surgery. These cases brought an appreciation of a team approach to patient treatment.
One of Dr. Sapers passions has always been inspiring others to reach their full potential. He has consistently been involved in education. During the years following his orthodontic training he served as a program director of a health sciences training program and earned a doctorate in education while teaching orthodontics abroad with the health volunteers overseas, an organization sponsored by the American Dental Association. He was cited by the American Dental Association for his volunteer teaching in Haiti.
Dr. Chang has been dedicating her career to providing excellent dental care since 2004. She graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. She then completed a first year residency in VA Ann Arbor Healthcare Systems, and a second year residency in VA Sepulveda in Greater Los Angeles. Lastly, she has completed her specialty training in Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
As a root canal specialist, Dr. Changs expertise lies in the pathology of the dental pulp and periradicular disease. She is committed to provide excellent patient centered care alongside her colleagues to enable her patients to benefit from a team of specialists.
Dr. Chang is a member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Association. When she is not at work, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Going to the dentist is often a painful and troubling experience. But teeth have to be cared for! Yesterday I was amazed by the care and professionalism of the team at Carlsbad Dental Associates. Dr. Arina is an excellent dentist who truly wants everything to be done perfectly no matter what. I highly recommend this dental office and the team of people who work there.

Everyone there is so great! I was matched with Dr. Arina Adourian and her assistant Aurelia. I knew I had a lot of work that needed to get done but between Covid and just not having the funds, I put it off. Dr. Arina is so great, she gave me a treatment plan and really cares about saving your teeth. I can honestly say that once she says Hello, all my fears go away. She so personable. Bedside manner is so important. Im so glad to have found this place! PS They are very clean and follow Covid protocol!

I have been to multiple dentists throughout my life. Most recently I had to change my dentist due to a new insurance plan. After doing much research online and reading reviews, I chose Carlsbad Dental Associates. I'm glad I did. From the moment I stepped in the door I was greeted by smiling faces. My two children saw Dr. Brown who was great with them. He was very thorough telling me the minor work they needed to get their teeth in good shape. I saw Dr. Adourian. He was very nice. Unfortunately he gave me the news I needed a full deep cleaning. I felt comfortable with his decision because he went into detail and showed me pictures of my teeth as to why it was necessary. Varonica did my deep cleaning and she made me feel so comfortable because I was very, very nervous. She did an awesome job and my teeth feel amazing. Bonus - After talking with a good friend of mine, she told me that her family goes there too. Hearing that made me truly believe I made the right choice.

This dental office has been by far the best I've been to. Their staff is so nice and always make you feel welcomed! The Doctors always leave my teeth 1000% better. Highly recommend bringing your family here for their dental needs. You will not regret it.

Thank goodness for Dr Edward Adourian at Carlsbad Dental Associates! Over July 4th weekend I broke my front tooth! Of course, I was distraught. Monday at 8:00 AM I was at the dentist's office. The staff member who greeted me was kind, empathic and wearing full protective gear. Every precaution to decrease virus risk was taken. I filled out the forms outside, to minimize waiting room exposure. Soon I was seen by Dr Adourian and his excellent assistant, Justin. They listened empathically to my concerns and went right to work with complete attention to detail and perfectionism that immediately put me at ease. Before I knew it, I was fitted for a crown and given a temporary until the crown would be ready in two weeks. The crown is a perfect match. You cannot tell it isn't natural, even in a magnifying mirror. I was very anxious about the tooth and covid19, and everyone there was so kind and understanding. Cristal, the assistant, was also incredibly kind and reassuring. Now I have a beautiful smile. Thank you Dr Adourian and team for giving me so much to smile about! I am eternally grateful!

Karina has been super helpful with contacting and getting my insurance all sorted out which was a big headache but she kept reaching out and handling the situation. I have been going to Carlsbad Dentist for many years. The is my first time reviewing their office and staff. Dr Brown is the kind and gentle dentist you want to have working in your mouth! He suggests procedures & treatment plans based on your gums and teeth not just selling extras. Veronica, my dental hygienist is wonderful. She does a fabulous job cleaning my teeth and gums. She is sweet and knowledgeable about dental health. She makes you feel comfortable right away! They place a personal touch by remembering things you spoke about at your last visit. I would highly recommend using both Dr Brown & Veronica! All of Carlsbad technicians are qualified and caring individuals. They want to make sure you are happy with your visit. They even kindly walk you to the exit door and set up your next appointment. The office staff are all very nice. When you arrive they are prepared for your visit with already checking on your insurance. They gently sent emails and txts reminders about your upcoming appointment. Everyone in the office is super nice and accommodating! Usually it's uncommon for me to feel so comfortable with staff, but the people here are lovely. I had a similar experience with those who worked on my teeth. It was quick and easy and they were friendly and easy to talk to!
