Dr Chong has always done excellent work on my teeth. I've been a patient since 2000) I have always felt like a valued client and received dedicated attention. Unlike other Dentists I have been to during my life, Dr Chong has a good understanding of how long it takes to perform various dental procedures, so he is almost always on time, which I appreciate because my time is valuable too. He also provides high quality dental care, leaving me with a brighter smile than before.

Lots of people rave about the little town north of San Diego called Encinitas and I agree it does have a few standouts like my long time dentist I wish I found sooner, Dr. Carlos Chong who never misses a beat when it comes to getting to the "root" of a dental problem quickly, successfully and best of all painlessly. His comfortable office is located in the heart of Encinitas and is surrounded by trees, foliage and waterfalls that keep me in a positive mood while walking along the pathway to the entrance. It gets even better when I'm greeted by his friendly staff, Maggie, Anna and Rochia. There's never a long wait and when I'm seated in the dental chair, I don't start "shaking in my boots" like I did in the past when seated in other dental chairs. Although I now live 2 towns away from Encinitas and am out of state much of the time, I would never even consider changing dentists. If a dental problem arises, I'm soon on my way to Encinitas because as far as I'm concerned, the dedicated and totally professional Dr. Carlos Chong is well worth the trip. Sincerely, Laurie Shannon

I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years so to say I was nervous about going again was an understatement. I know I need to go to the dentist twice a year and I heard about stories about how dentists have made people feel super guilty about not going. Dr. Chong and his team made me feel so relaxed and didn't chastise me about visiting the dentist. They were all very nice, professional, and efficient. They didn't try to up charge me anything and I was in an out in around an hour and a half. Overall best experience I have had at a dentist and I will definitely be going back to them again. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

Not at all impressed. I went in the office in a lot of pain. I told them that some of it was coming from a broken tooth but that also I thought there were further problems. They only took an xray of the broken tooth. The doctor came in to the room, looked in my mouth for 2 seconds and told me to go to an oral surgeon and walked out of the room. I was still trying to ask him questions and had to jump out of the chair and run after him. They did not have an oral surgeon that they recommended nor did they try to help me in any other way. I was sent home with prescriptions for antibiotics and motrin. They did not seem to care about helping me and I will not be returning. I found a better dentist a few minutes away. Check out my other reviews and you will find a better dentist to go to in the area. Don't waste your time here!

I have been going to this dentist off for at least two years now. The staff is always very nice and helpful. The office and equipment is very clean. Dr. Chong is a great dentist and always very personable.

I've been going to Dr. Chong for about the last twenty years. I once tried another dentist because they were closer to where I lived. I was having some soreness and inflammation in my lower front gum and this new dentist said I needed a root canal. I decided to get a second opinion, so I went see Dr. Chong again. He said all I probably needed was a deep cleaning of the area. He was right. The problem never returned. I wouldn't even think about going to another dentist now. Dr. Chong is a consummate professional.

He is great with the teenagers - encouraging them to take care of their teeth for life and educating them on the best dental practices at home. We appreciate the reasonable prices for his services. Dr Chong has been the most gracious quintessential professional to me, an emergency-stranger into his Dentistry. And that started with my first phonemail to his very understanding and helpful receptionist too. He is kindly, capable, efficient and so genuine he made me feel as though he had been my family dentist for years. If ever one could truly 'love' a dentist (not my favourite pastime to visit a dentist) Dr Chong would be that one true dentist. Thank you sir for all that you have done for my urgent teeth needs whilst on my very long sojourn here in Encinitas from South Africa. Frankly I wish I were staying long enough for you to fix up my entire mouth of aging crowns, caps and all other dentistry needs.

I've been seeing Dr. Chong's office for cleanings and fillings since 2012. This office is professional and affordable. I've been to other dentist's offices in Encinitas and have had only fair experiences. Dr. Chong is an easy choice for dentistry in Encinitas. I'm glad to have found a dentist that is convenient and caring.
