Dr. Semi Lim finished her undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before pursuing her dental degree and specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She is an assistant professor at University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Lim has received a number of awards for education excellence. These include distinctions in the American Academy of Periodontology Annual Meeting Presentation, distinctions in the Tri-school Periodontics Conference Oral Presentation, and distinctions in the Northeast Implant Symposium Presentation. She has advanced clinical experiences in: Comprehensive Periodontal Therapy, Guided Tissue Regeneration, Periodontal Plastic & Esthetic Surgery, Implant Placement, Sinus Membrane Elevation, and ridge augmentation procedures for optimizing the longevity of implants.
Dr. Lim is a board certified periodontist and a scholar of International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She is a member of all relevant dental societies including the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and California Society of Periodontists. Dr. Lim provides the highest quality periodontics in a friendly environment for all ages and she enjoys providing the best care for her patients. She loves to work closely with patients. She believes that communication and clear understanding are the most important keys in achieving the best outcomes. Treatment options, advantages and disadvantages are always presented and discussed with patients. Thus, you can expect an individualized treatment with the utmost care and respect. During her free time, she enjoys running, riding the bike, skiing, and hiking with her family.
