Dr. Carl K. Walker received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in1982, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He then graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry with honors in 1986, was inducted into OKU (national dental honor society) while in dental school, and obtained his certificate of specialization and Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Tennessee Memphis College of Dentistry two years later. In 1988, he began private practice here in the Birmingham area and served as adjunct clinical professor at UA School of Dentistry in the Pediatric Dentistry Department, as well as associate staff with Christian Medical Ministry of Alabama. He is married to the lovely Becky and is fatherto four children. He is an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church, enjoys spending time with his family, and of course, he follows Alabama Crimson Tide football. ROLL TIDE!!
You might have noticed our tag line And the crooked shall be made straight. We have used the passage in Luke 3:5c tongue-in-cheek to illustrate the value we place on our mandate of getting things straightened out. We're thankful our Lord has a sense of humor and consider it one of the best things about our practice! We seriously love what we do and the people with whom we do it, and we hope it shows.
Committed? You bet. No one is more invested in making each patients orthodontic experience as good as it gets. Our staff goes above and beyond to give them every chance to successfully complete treatment.
Relational? No doubt. We make it our mission to celebrate each patient as a unique individual and develop relationships with each and every one. If patient relationships were an Olympic sport, wed be gold medalists.

Dr. Walker is so friendly and upbeat - my son (who does not give out compliments easily) said that he is GREAT. Very much appreciate the clear prognosis and timeline given.

Professional Orthodontic Care with an amazing attention to detail. My son was treated by Dr. Walker and his staff after a traumatic trampoline mouth injury. The experience was so amazing that I had cosmetic correction done for muself with wonderful results. 47 years of progressively worsening issues were transformed to a genuine love of smiling again.

Dr. Walker and his staff are EXCELLENT! In 2005 Dr. Walker prepared a dental appliance for me to help with my sleep apnea. It was the best decision in my life. I realize that the dental appliance is not for everyone, but it has changed my world. Dr. Walker has adjusted it several times as my mouth has adjusted to the change. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have watched the staff's interaction with other patients in need of braces and it seems that everyone enjoys visiting Dr. Walker. I highly recommend their service!
