As a pediatric dentist, I am passionate about educating and motivating children and parents about oral health. This ensures they are prepared to prevent dental disease and enjoy a lifetime of wonderful smiles.

I am equally as passionate about providing a safe and calm space for children, where each knows they are heard, valued, and the most important person in the room. My team and I care for every child as an individual, gently and patiently, with respect for each little ones emotional, mental, and physical needs and comfort.

Dr. Carl Trout grew up in Cheyenne, in the Rocky Mountain region of Wyoming. He attended the University of Wyoming, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, and was accepted at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. In 2007, he was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) and graduated with High Distinction.

While his wife Kia was completing medical school, and an internal medicine and pediatrics residency, Dr. Trout practiced general dentistry for four years. During that time, he realized how much he enjoyed caring for younger patients, and the importance of keeping kids cavity-free while teaching them to prevent decay and dental disease. He returned to school, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Childrens Hospital in Omaha, for his pediatric dentistry residency.

Dr. Trout is a member of and board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American and North Dakota Dental associations. Through these organizations, Dr. Trout learns from leading researchers and practitioners. By constantly increasing his knowledge, skills, and services, he ensures each child receives high-quality treatment, using advanced techniques and materials, for the ideal experience and results.

Ours is a family-oriented and kid-friendly pediatric dental office, where we welcome everyone as a new friend and care for them as family. While we focus on dental health, we are equally attentive to each childs unique emotional and developmental needs: that allows us to connect with children in a non-threatening manner and gain their trust.

Dr. Trout completed two years of specialized residency training at the Nebraska Medical Center Childrens Hospital after dental school. This program prepared him to meet the unique dental needs of each child, from infancy through adolescence, as well as children with special needs.

Beyond childrens oral health, Dr. Trout understands how to connect with kids in an age-appropriate manner. He can establish trust, help modify and guide behaviors, and teach each child how to avoid future dental issues.

We are one cohesive team, made up of entirely unique individuals with a tremendous amount of pediatric dental experience. We are dedicated professionals who are also warm and friendly. Our shared goal is making each visit pleasant and worry-free, for our patients and their parents.
