At Caring Smiles Dental, we truly care about our patients its in the name of our practice! We believe that providing high-quality dental care is only part of what makes a dental office exceptional. Teaching patients about their dental health, really listening to their concerns, and doing our best to ensure that they have positive experiences every time they visit our practice is what our team aims to do every single day.
Dr. Ankur Patel was born in Chicago and grew up near his Caring Smiles Dental office in Hoffman Estates. Dr. Patel graduated near the top of his class and received several scholarships for his service and excellence in his coursework before going on to study molecular cell biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While there, he performed research on both the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways vital for blood clotting to help advance the field of thrombosis.
Dr. Patel also completed an internship at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN, where he spent the summer learning from the brightest minds in a joint dental and medical program (SMDEP). He then attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While there, Dr. Patel enjoyed having the opportunity to help the underserved by completing externships that involved providing dental care to low-income and underserved populations. He also spent much of his time at the Milestone Dental Clinic in Rockford, where he provided dental care for medically compromised patients.
After working for several years at a prestigious dental group, he has brought his knowledge and passion for dentistry to his new office to serve the local community, including Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Palatine, Barrington, Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Schaumburg, and more. Dr. Patel is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a member of the American Dental Association, a member of the Chicago Dental Society, and is part of a comprehensive study club with other dentists and dental specialists in order to provide the best care possible.

For almost a third of my life, I have been terrified of the dentist. It was one rude and judgmental one after the other. It was to the point where I couldn't even talk about going to the dentist without crying. My family has been seeing Dr. Patel for a few years now. Finally, I mustered up the courage to make myself an appointment. And I have no regrets!! He is extremely patient and kind. He truly just wants to help everyone have an amazing smile and feel comfortable in the process. The staff is just as awesome! I can happily say that making appointments for myself in the future will be tear free! I will refer anyone looking for a dentist to him!

Dr. Patel is amazing! He takes his time to explain and was able to calm my nerves before getting a crown. They have the device to mold the crown in the office! He is so thoughtful with my kids and they just love him. I recommend him to family and friends. Staff is also amazing so thorough with cleanings. I highly recommend!!!

I couldn't say enough about caring smiles dental, not only is it nice because my sister in law works here, but I needed quite a few fillings repaired and Dr. Patel took his time and did them right and fixed the last guys work! They feel amazing! This is the kind of dentist you want- the one who takes their time to do it right!

Dr. Patel and his staff are phenomenal and create a calming and supportive atmosphere. He demonstrates an excellent and caring bedside manner and takes time to genuinely communicate with patients and discuss their concerns. Logistically, they were very quick to get me into the office and explained all findings and procedures thoroughly and clearly. I felt very cared for and respected here and would highly recommend Dr. Patel and his practice to anyone seeking high-quality dental care.

Everyone is incredibly friendly and are willing to help each and every of their patient 110%. Very informative and the Dr. Ankur Patel is an amazing Doctor who has a very welcoming friendly vibe. Definitely the type of person you would want to have a conversation with for hours. I will definitely recommend going to this place for Dr. Ankur Patel. Amazing guy and staff who knows what they're doing while enjoying what they do to help their patients! They make sure you're as comfortable as possible :D

Caring Smiles Dental with Dr. Patel has restored my mouth with dental implants and it was a great experience!! Now I am so happy to smile again! Highly recommend Dr Patel for implants. He was very down to earth and made me comfortable throughout the process. Update as of June 1st 2022: Today had a dental procedure and Dr Patels technique for anesthesia was painless and I was so relaxed!! Thank you!!

*UPDATE! I got my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Patel today, and although I was dreading it, it was overall a really great experience (as good as extracting teeth can be, hah). My biggest fear wasn't necessarily the procedure itself, but the numbing beforehand (I have a phobia of not feeling pain, weird, I know). Dr. Patel was incredibly understanding and talked to me through the entire numbing process and procedure itself. He explained where he was numbing and why, and what areas it might affect. It was very calming. The procedure was so fast, and I felt nothing during it. I'm 32 now, and I've waited so long to have my wisdom teeth removed out of fear. I'm glad I just did it already. *ORIGINAL REVIEW (Which I don't want to change!) I've been coming to this office for almost 10 years now. Prior to that I dreaded going to the dentist but Caring Smiles is wonderful. The staff and doctor are super personable and really do invest in each patient as an individual. They are tech friendly with reminders, scheduling, billing, and have very nice, new equipment. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 mins for room placement or to see the doctor. Since I've started coming I have recommended everyone that is in the market for a great dentist. Their office is conveniently located with tons of parking and has great ambiance. You can even email for an appt, which I love because I hate talking on the phone. Highly Recommend!

Dr. Patel is an excellent dentist and his staff is equally impressive! Not only did Dr. Patel fill my (embarrassingly) bad cavities, he also took extra consideration to make sure I understood what my insurance likely would and wouldn't cover. After deciding to wait to have further dental work done until my coverage renewed, Dr. Patel re-filled a couple old cavities for me free of charge. He and his entire staff are welcoming, polite, and knowledgeable. They fitted me for an effective night guard which has helped alleviate my TMJ issues, and took great care of me when I needed a root canal. Dr. Patel and his staff continue to go above and beyond in making my dentist visits a great experience. I highly recommend Caring Smiles Dental!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. My whole family has been coming here for years and the service here is second to none. I've had crowns done on site same day. My wife had her clear liners set up here and from start to finish everything has been perfect. Dr. Patel and his staff really care about you. Growing up as a kid, I didn't get the care I needed for my teeth, so needless to say, my teeth require a lot of attention. I instill my trust in Dr. Patel because he explains his recommendations for me and provides the best pain-free treatment options. I've had countless fillings by him, and he does it with such precision level care that I walk out feeling like nothing ever happened. The office staff is excellent. They check me in as soon as I make my way into the office and get me into an operatory room ASAP. I highly recommend Caring Smiles Dental and continue to recommend Dr. Patel to all of my family and friends!

Just moved to the area and needed to find a dentist close to home. I had A LOT of dental work done in the past and had some good and some not so good experiences. After reading reviews about Caring Smiles Dental I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed! Great, knowledgeable staff, an amazing doctor! For the first time in my life I didn't feel the needle (I hate needles!!), for the first time I am not dreading the next dental visit.

I recently had a tooth extracted that broke at the gum line. I was very fearful and nervous about this procedure. Dr. Patel answered all my questions and made me feel at ease before starting treatment. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the tooth was removed and with no complications.

The service here was super good, Dr Patel explained everything he was planning on doing for my treatment. He again went over what he did after he finished. I was expecting at least a couple of visits for my treatment but to my surprise, I was able to get everything taken care of nicely in just one visit. Very high tech dental office for sure. highly recommend him.

Dr. Patel has made feel so much more confident about my smile. He is the first dentist that has really cared for my teeth and has left amazing, lasting results. I have had many cavities filled previously that were done incorrectly and Dr. Patel was able to redo each one correctly. He really cares for his patients and their needs. Also, everyone that works in Dr. Patels office is very generous and welcoming. It's great to finally have found the right dentist after all of this time!! I highly recommend Caring Smiles!

I recently starting going here and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I was experiencing some pain and they were very accommodating and were able book me an appointment the same day. They also were able to schedule a follow up appointment for the next day to get a root canal and crown. The crown was made on site and was able to complete the procedure all in one visit rather than being spread out into multiple appointments. I highly recommend this place!

Dr. Patel and his team were absolutely wonderful! Kerry, the receptionist, was friendly and efficient. During our visit, my daughter had teeth removed. The team took care that she was never in pain, they reviewed the procedure, and explained what to expect in the next few days of recovery. I was very impressed with the follow up care call the morning after. I am very happy with our experience and would highly recommend Caring Smiles!!!!

Caring Smiles Dental gave my dad two new implants and top and bottom dentures. They did an amazing job. Absolutely no hiccups. Things went smooth from start to finish. Most importantly he looks great.
