Dr. Shaja has a passion for dental health and always strives to offer the best quality of care to all her patients. Dr. Shaja has been privileged to offer her expert advice on many advanced cosmetic and general dentistry techniques and continues to mentor her staff on the latest dental care products and procedures.
A bad childhood experience with her own dentist sparked a hight interest for Dr. Shaja to pursue dentistry. She didnt feel her family dentist was passionate enough about offering dental care for her family. She strongly believed that a family dentist should care about the overall dental care and be professional at all times. Dr. Shaja went on to enroll in the University of Baghdad dentistry school and graduated with honors at the age of 23. She was ranked as one of the top ten graduates from the dentistry department in her class. She also served as a clinical instructor and went on to open up her practice.
In 1995, Dr. Shaja moved to the U.S. and attended Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. She was able to advance her education and obtain her dentistry license to practice in the U.S. She currently manages two Caring Dentistry offices located in Sterling Heights, MI and Oak Park, MI.
I like to take the time to get to know my patients. By knowing some their habits, I can offer treatments focused towards their lifestyle. This helps patients get a better treatment as well as maintain a healthy dental hygiene.

Now I see why they have low stars!! I don't not recommend!! They don't call you for reminders appointment! I told them I had a foul smell coming out my mouth!! I was told no Dr was in for about a month! I knew my appointment was coming up so I gave them a call they told me I missed it! & When you missed a appointment they book you a month away again! Proper teeth cleaning you might's well throw that out the window

Yes my My visits was very pleasant the doctor that performed my Dentures was excellent; you can trust them with loving care. Monday, 5/30/22, 12:30 pm: To Caring Dentistry of Oak Park, Michigan on 26021 Coolidge Hwy. I held my breath but the exam and cleaning were okay. The dentist heard my support of our dental health insurances needing to pay the little additional amount for the additional added fluoride treatment to protect our tooth enamel for all ages and yes above the age of 14 (something my Barbara Pierce Bush went through which I was concerned for the dental and overall positive health care coverage of her and myself; something happened to her and impacted myself with difficult at the age of 14 years old) to keep our teeth enamel healthy and strong and bright white and very free from cavities and plaque which none of any of us (n)ever need. We all want very healthy positive smiling wonderful teeth and gums to display our handsome beautiful smiles from birth all the way through life and forever! Marcel Davis. I thank this dentist because I have been out of employment which I was always overqualified for but to operate the entire existence of my exponential multiverses (from my Spiderverse), Anyway. She covered my free Fluoride application which we all know should never be out of pocket expense, but certainly covered by all dental health coverage and free of charging to Me. Thank you Dentist for your heart concern which my true love Barbara Pierce Davis helped to think you kindly to cover as the Fluoride application addition has always helped Me be free of cavities and others I certainly hope. They also must have the Fluoride application completely covered by all the dental health insurance coverage free of all charges to dental patients as the small extra cost is no problem for the dental insurances to freely cover to bring up and continue the positive tooth and teeth health and smiles of every person around the globe we all lived on. I've been with this company for a couple years they are very caring and understandable & the environment is clean very uplifting I definitely recommend anyone looking for the right dentist to come here assistant-sylva she is so nice and makes sure I'm comfortable during my procedure. I love Dr. Shaja she made my smile perfect and no pain And I feel pretty again and I appreciate that .

Dr . Fady and sylva helped me get through my dentist appointment smoothly they were very nice and helpful and I've also been coming here since I was 5 and never had a bad experience. Sylva is also very helpful and nice she even held my hands while I was getting my shots

Omg let me tell If u need a dentist go here they were warm i called in tears over my tooth they got me I'm with in a hour and scheduled me for other procedures i needed run here they are awesome and Ghad and Ara (hope i got they're names right) were so warm and attentive i even got hugs which i really needed

This was the nicest, cleanest and friendliest dental office I have ever seen in my time in metro-Detroit. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Fady and Sylva made the entire unpleasant experience of cavities very smooth and gentle.

I went to this dental clinic to get my braces done and I had the best experience with Dr Shaja and her dental assistance Sylva! I Usually hate going to the dentist office until I stumbled on to this place. Dr Shaja and Sylva explained the whole process to me and we're extremely patient and informative. I highly recommend this place!

I'm just gonna save my breathe and just say this place isn't worth it. They literally talk in Chaldean or something about you right in front of your face thinking you can't understand them smh. Somerset dental is where it's at!! New office in troy!

I would give less if I could. If you choose to come here be sure to keep track of your bills because they don't and your bill will change every time you come in.
