Dr. Shaja has a passion for dental health and always strives to offer the best quality of care to all her patients. Dr. Shaja has been privileged to offer her expert advice on many advanced cosmetic and general dentistry techniques and continues to mentor her staff on the latest dental care products and procedures.
A bad childhood experience with her own dentist sparked a hight interest for Dr. Shaja to pursue dentistry. She didnt feel her family dentist was passionate enough about offering dental care for her family. She strongly believed that a family dentist should care about the overall dental care and be professional at all times. Dr. Shaja went on to enroll in the University of Baghdad dentistry school and graduated with honors at the age of 23. She was ranked as one of the top ten graduates from the dentistry department in her class. She also served as a clinical instructor and went on to open up her practice.
In 1995, Dr. Shaja moved to the U.S. and attended Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. She was able to advance her education and obtain her dentistry license to practice in the U.S. She currently manages two Caring Dentistry offices located in Sterling Heights, MI and Oak Park, MI.
I like to take the time to get to know my patients. By knowing some their habits, I can offer treatments focused towards their lifestyle. This helps patients get a better treatment as well as maintain a healthy dental hygiene.

They are nice people but I think they over schedule people on top of one another the wait time is unbelievable mind,my daughter and son appointment was at 430 and 5pm and we have waited at least an hour...

Had a wisdom tooth pulled. One that I'm 100% positive I should've been sedated for. Had four shots and still felt everything. My mouth and face was swollen for over a week and I was in excruciating pain. Now I know why. When I got home I was spitting out tooth fragments and I look in my mouth today to see a gaping hole where stitches should be and you can visibly see and feel a piece of tooth they left. Never returning. Now I have to find another dentist and go through excruciating pain all over again.

Great Dentist Office Excellent staff from the receptionist to the dental assistant. The hygienist is very calming , patient and friendly. Happy to have found a dentist who actually cares.

Nice clean office! Excellent service. Chelsea was very professional! Constantly reassuring that the outcome would be to my liking. Dr. O was very patient and gentle during the procedure!! Highly recommend to visit!

Today my two daughters and myself had an appointment. They were very courteous and so very sweet! Did not wait long. The staff is sooo beautiful !! I want to thank from our hearts Damika, Chelsea and Tatiana and I want to thank Dr. Rick for honestly making my experience there very smooth and easy going. Years ago i had a very bad experience at the dentist office and with the dentist but today I truly was very comfortable and at ease and thank you for talking to me very reassuring! Awesome Dr. And Staff! Will definitely recommend this office to everyone!! Also very clean office!! Security officer is very pleasant helpful and considerate!

If I could give less than 1 star I really would. They over book and have people waiting hours to be seen. When are finally seen the staff is rude and they are very rough with you. I have been here multiple times hoping the service would change but it only progressively gets worse.

Me and my husband has been seen, here and the team is very helpful and they listen and answered all of my questions especially DrVu and his assistant Chelsea.... And Chelsea is very good at what she do I can she has been doing this type of work for a while...And sure enough she has....
