After working the last 4 years on the west side of Lansing, Dr. Kim, a general dentist of 15 years, has established herself as a Platinum Plus Provider of Invisalign in Michigan. Her passion is changing lives with healthy smiles and smile transformations. Her interests include Cosmetic Dentistry, Anterior Esthetics, Implant Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, Orthodontics utilizing Clear Aligners (Certified Invisalign Provider) and Functional Occlusion and Smile Design using conservative, predictable dentistry that lasts.
Dr. Kim was born and raised in Michigan and went to high school in Saginaw. After her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in 1994, she went to New York University School of Dentistry and received her DDS degree and subsequent graduate prosthodontic training, cosmetic and dental implant training with top New York City dentists and mentors. She continues to study advanced courses with GDIA for dental implants and is a Dawson Academy alumnus, St. Petersburg, FL, and has studied under Dr. Galler, one of the most successful Invisalign providers and instructors in the country.
Her main approach to dentistry is providing the best education of the patient on proper form and function of their bite (occlusion) and why their current oral condition is the way it is, how to prevent future problems while providing the most harmonious cosmetic result. She likes to carefully listen to the patients needs and wants and understand the patients goals to work together to obtain the best result.
Mainly, she tries to be a perfectionist by striving toward dental excellence, all with a jovial, down to earth manner and creating a little fun in the dental chair for patients and staff. People are not just patients in Dr. Kims chair. They are family and always treated as such!
In her free time, she studies yoga-vinyasa and yin yoga, photography(her main subject is her basset hound Angus) and practices golf. She is a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Walled Lake and St. Marys in Milford. Fun fact: She is married to one of the best Michigan PGA golf instructors and golf hall of fame player in the state.
Dr. Bradley Merritt is a recent graduate of Detroit Mercy and performed his undergraduate studies at Kalamazoo College. He is originally from Bloomfield Hills and now lives in downtown Detroit. He is a big sports fan, especially MSU-Go Green! He likes to spend his downtime golfing and spending time with his friends and family. He is excited to be joining our family and we are excited to have him here as well.
Meet Dr. Caryn Willems! Dr. Caryn is from Green Bay, Wisconsin, but has spent the majority of her adult life living in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Spanish from Creighton University- Go Jays! She stayed close to home, and continued her education at Creighton University School of Dentistry. She was the student coordinator for Creighton Dentals One World Clinic, a low income, after-hours dental clinic. In addition she was a peer tutor, a student ambassador and was awarded the American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award upon graduation. Dr. Caryn is always eager to attend courses in different areas of dentistry to extend her knowledge and continue to provide quality compassionate care to all of her patients.
Michelle is the Team Leader at Caring Convenient Dentistry. Michelle has had a love for the dental field from a very young age. She is very passionate about complete health dentistry, and enjoys building lifelong relationships with patients. When not working she enjoys spending time with her daughter, fianc, and Great Dane in northern Michigan.
Julie is a graduate of the Lansing Community College Dental Hygiene program and has been practicing since 1991. She and her husband, Stan, live in Lansing and enjoy golfing, traveling and visiting family in northern Michigan.
Jaime graduated from Delta College in 2001 with an Associate's Degree in applied science in Dental hygiene. As a dental hygienist, she loves getting to know her patients and helping them with their dental needs as well as improving their overall health and wellness. Jaime grew up in AuGres and currently resides in St. Charles. When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and their children.
I'm new to the dental world as a dental assistant, and loving it so far! I grew up in a small town north of Lansing called Maple Rapids and still live there now. I attended LCC for sign language and still use that knowledge everywhere I can. I am newly engaged so my personal goals are to get married next year and start a family soon. Professional wise my goals are to continue learning and growing, and to always try to achieve better ways to help patients become more comfortable coming to the dentist. My hobbies include reading, painting, Sewing, and Working out in my yard.
Ashley has been in the dental field for 8 years, she loves getting to know the patients and helping them achieve the smile theyve always wanted. Outside of work Ashleys two boys, Blaine and Brantley keep her very busy. They enjoy sporting events, being outdoors and traveling together.
