  • Annie B. Carberry, DDS Dr. Carberry grew up in Sanford, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelors degree in biology. She stayed close to her Tar Heel roots by graduating from UNC School of Dentistry. Following her graduation in 2014, Dr. Carberry left for an adventure on the West Coast, where she had an opportunity to complete her General Practice Residency at the San Francisco VA Hospital. After spending a few wonderful years in California, working at both the VA and in private practice, Dr. Carberry and her husband moved back to North Carolina. Prior to meeting Dr. Jaynes and taking over his practices long-standing legacy, she worked at a thriving dental office in Charlotte for several years.Dr. Carberry was drawn to dentistry at an early age. She loves that it is a combination of surgery and art. She listens to her patients, gives them her full attention, and works with them to develop the appropriate treatment plan. Believing that oral health is a strong indicator of total wellness, she greatly values and enjoys educating patients on how to take small, but meaningful steps to improve their overall health. Giving back to her community is also very important to her. She regularly serves with Agape Dental Ministry here in Charlotte and the N.C. Mission of Mercy clinics. She participated in a dental mission trip to Nepal while in dental school and hopes to return regularly when her kids are a little older. Dr. Carberry met her husband, Billy, in California, and together they enjoy spending time with their two children, Mary Beth and Fritz, and their happy dog, Cal. They attend Forest Hill Church where Dr. Carberry volunteers with kids ministries. The Carberry family loves outdoor adventures, especially hiking in the Blue Ridge. Dr. Carberry also enjoys practicing yoga and cooking paleo meals (including the occasional sweet treats). She is a member of Charlotte Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

There was a miscommunication with our first dentist's office about the timeline for my crown appointment and since we are moving in June, there won't be enough time. We found the Carberry Family Dentistry and they were able to fulfill our requirements. We would end up paying more since they are not part of our insurance network panels, but it's worth the extra money. I went for my first appointment yesterday and it's been the most pleasant experience among the three dental services I'd been to in America. Coming from Singapore, I'd been spoilt with dental services using the latest tech in the industry. I hadn't seen the newer tech used in the previous dentists until yesterday. The great experience with Carberry started right from the beginning -- the phone call. Teresa was exceptionally helpful, professional, thorough, and efficient in managing our financial expectations and meeting our urgent needs. The entire experience at the clinic was very impressive, definitely first class. I was asked twice if I needed a blanket or pillow - I felt like I was on the plane of the best airliner, again! They used the 3D image scanner which admittedly I had not seen or needed in the past. The dental assistant, Brooke (I hope I got her name right), and the dentist, Dr. Annie Carberry worked so well together as though they could read each other's minds. My previous experience with the endodontist was unfortunately one of the worst, so I was delighted to receive this level of professionalism and care again. I'll be returning to the clinic for the crown fitting before we are due to move out of state. I'm glad that we found this dentist.

I have had wonderful experiences with Carberry Family Dentistry. The office is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. And Dr. Carberry is so kind and professional. Although they aren't in network with my insurance, they filed everything for me and I had no issues with my insurance at all. I highly recommend Carberry Family Dentistry!
