Capstone Dental is family-owned and operated right here in Parker, CO. Since our company opened in 2008, weve treated every patient like they were a part of our family. Integrity and trust are traditional values we stand by. Our innovative and modern office create a comfortable and safe atmosphere. We care about your smile and want it to be the best it possibly can be. We provide that personal touch you won't find anywhere else.

Dr Kempers graduated from Colorado College in 1990 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Pre-Medical Studies. Since that time, Dr Kempers has worked in healthcare including nine years in emergency and urgent care. After completing his Masters Degree in Business and Health Management from the University of Colorado at Denver, he worked with an Oral Surgeon in Grand Junction while running a business doing health exams for life insurance companies.

In 2003, Dr Kempers returned to graduate school to become a dentist. Though 10 years older than the class average, Dr Kempers realized that his previous work experience and education would assist him in many areas of private practice, especially in the delivery of patient focused, quality dental care. During dental school, he received a scholarship given to the student with outstanding dental restorative skills. In May 2007, Dr Kempers graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, Cum Laude.

After working in several offices as an associate to gain experience, he opened Capstone Dental in December 2008. Since its opening, Capstone Dental PC has grown into a successful private practice and strives to improve in customer service and quality comprehensive dental care for the entire family.

'Dr. Kempers and the staff provided excellent emergency service when I had an infected tooth. They accepted me after closing time and provided a prescription and referral for endodontics treatment. I highly recommend Capstone Dental, and I will be returing there for regular checkups. Thank you Dr. Kempers and Capstone Staff!'

On 1/25 I had an appointment to see Dr. Kemper due to pain I was having in a tooth. I was seen, the issue was potentially found, and then he told me he didn't have time to complete the work and I would need to schedule an appointment to come back. (I scheduled an appointment based on the issue so there should have been time) Next, I go to make an appointment and was told it would be 3 weeks to get me back in. I asked if there was anything sooner and was told no. Office person was doing other things and only 1/2 paying attention to me. A day before my appointment I get a text telling me they have to reschedule my appointment due to a scheduling conflict. This would push the appointment out another 4 days. I wrote back stating that this is a pretty big inconvenience since I have already been waiting 3 weeks, and there is pain. If they cannot get me in, then I will need to find another office. They texted me back and said they would get me in, they may just need to change the time of the appointment- Essentially make me wait longer. I told them this sees extremely disorganized and unprofessional and that I am just going to go elsewhere. I get a text to find out that they were just trying to accommodate another patient that needed to go out of town, and they wanted to give them my appointment spot. So, the pain that I have been experiencing was clearly not as important as the person that was going to take my spot. Zero accommodations were made for me when I asked if I could get in sooner. Instead, what was most likely going to happen is- I show up for the appointment tomorrow, and they make me wait while this other patient is seen, then they put me in the chair and obviously have to rush to stay on track for the day. Needless to say, I will not use this office again, nor will the rest of my family.

I don't understand how anyone could write anything negative about Dr. Kempers or his staff. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kempers, and his staff, to be your trusted dentist for the entire family. It's sad when one hygienist scares a person about their dental condition...especially a young girl, and especially at the dentist. I know how she feels. Dr. Kempers is a very caring and professional, person and dentist. I will never forget when I first met Dr. Kempers. It was late evening Christmas eve and there was a bad blizzard (Really). I had a crown fall off one of my teeth. In spite of the holiday and the snow storm, Dr. Kempers drove to his office and met me there to put a temporary crown on my tooth that night. That was way beyond the call of duty! Since then he has helped me develop a plan for my dental care that was tailored to my specific needs and budget. He was honest about the approach and why it fit my very specific circumstances. He always took great care with any procedure and did the highest quality work. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kempers, and his staff, to be your trusted dentist for the entire family.

It's past midnight and I am still trying to calm my Daughter from a horrid experience with dental hygienist Penny. My Daughter is crying saying she feels bad about herself and her teeth. We were summoned in 20 minutes past our appointment time. I dreaded when I saw she was the one doing the cleaning today. I have had her before and she is condescending, rough with her cleaning, not very through, and has horrible chair side manner. Once my Daughter was in the chair she scraped for about two teeth for about a minute then proceed to do the rest of the "cleaning" with what looked like a water pick. My Daughter has braces and I specifically asked for the special attachment the male hygienist had used previously - she claimed they had no such tool even though I commented on it the previous time. I asked a few more questions and she was more and more condescending. She then called me over to look at her finding then asked her what "that" and Penny said "oh that's plaque" the scraped "some of it away" LEAVING the rest of the teeth "problem area" covered in it - uhh, I thought that is what we came in for not a glorified water pick treatment. She then flossed a mere two teeth and I saw my Daughters head jerk as she yanked the floss out as if the floss was hung up on one of her orthodontic brackets - then she did it AGAIN. Then she proceeded to tell my Daughter how she has spots on her bottom teeth and all other manner of how awful her teeth were - my Daughter has braces and does the best she can. Penny was also heavy handed and leaned on the upper lip causing the braces to be driven into the inside of my Daughter's upper lip. NEVER have I had a dental hygienist pretend to be a dentist nor give any diagnostic information directly to a child. After watching her rough treatment, I just wanted to get out of there, I told her to finish what she was doing as we were now done Penny ignored me and continued to frighten my Daughter more by telling her how whatever she saw would spread. This obviously made me very mad - not sure what part of we are done and leaving was confusing to her. Eventually Dr. Kempers made his way over and Penny disappeared in the back with the other two hygienists to talk about me, you could clearly hear her telling the others "then she said...." I told Dr. Kempers that I prefer diagnosis from a DOCTOR not the hygienist and such information should be told to me NOT my minor child. There was no way I was letting Penny anywhere near my Daughter so before the treatment was finished I took my Daughter out of the chair and removed the bib and we got out of there.... my Daughter thanked me for doing that as she said her braces were being driven into the inside of her mouth from Penny leaning her hand on her mouth while cleaning and that she was in pain. The fact that this practice allows a wanna-be dentist expanded function dental hygienist belittle patients, disregard my request that she finish whatever she was doing as I did not want her to continue, then permit your staff to gather and cackle about me is unacceptable and unprofessional. I had planned to go back for a dental implant, crown, and a few other small things but there is no way I would ever go back there neither will my Daughter or other family members I have recommended.
