Dr. Seth Reder was born and raised in San Diego. After graduating from University City High School, he went on to University of California Santa Barbara where he graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and was elected to be a member of the prestigious national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following this, he attended the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston where he earned his post-doctorate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters of Science in Oral Biology with a focus on Conscious Sedation. He is a board certified pediatric dentist with Diplomate status from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Reder also has extensive pediatric trauma training after having served for two years as the on-call pediatric dentist for the emergency department at Memorial Hermann Childrens Hospital in Houston. He is certified in both Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
During his free time, Dr. Seth can be found surfing at Pleasure Point or, during rainy season, foraging for wild mushrooms in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He also enjoys going on bike rides with his family.Dr. Reder loves kids and is excited to have the privilege of getting to know the children and teens in the area he calls home. He is proud of his team and their commitment to providing the highest quality of care and services.

Michelle is a central coast native who was raised in Salinas. She has worked in dental practices for nineyears in the Monterey Bay area and has truly found her calling. She has experience as a treatment coordinator as well as a financial coordinator. It's a joy for her to be part of a team that focuses on pediatrics and she thoroughly enjoys new challenges.
When she is not enjoying the company of our patients, you can find her on the hiking trails or spending time with her family. She loves spending time with her younger cousins along with her nephews during the weekends. She is a lover of football and can be found at local youth football games during the weekend when her cousin is playing and family is coaching. Michelle is enthusiastic to be part of the team at CKD.
Monica grew up in the Central Coast and lives in Salinas. She graduated from Monterey County Regional Occupational Program in 1992 and received her Registered Dental Assisting license. She has over 20 years of experience in the pediatric dental field. She takes pride in her work and enjoys continuing her education by attending local lectures.
Monica is married with two daughters. She enjoys outdoor activities, reading books, and is an avid sports fan. She volunteers her time in the community at school events doing her favorite hobby- face painting!
She has the heart for pediatrics and knows first-hand how special all children are, being as her niece and nephew have special needs. She feels her calling is to work with children and teenagers and is excited to be part of the team here at Capitola Kids Dentistry.
Maricela is a Santa Cruz County native who resides in Watsonville. She has been in the dental field for 14 years as a Registered Dental Assistant and has her degree in Medical Billing and Coding. Maricela enjoys working with children- her calm nature and caring personality helps kids to relax and have a pleasant dental experience. Her favorite thing about her job is seeing patients grow their confidence and become more comfortable at each visit with us.
In her free time, Mari loves watching sports and spending time with her family and friends. It is very gratifying to be part of the CKD team, where patient well-being and a fun environment is our top priority.
Michelle was born and raised in Salinas. She went to school at Monterey Peninsula College has been in the dental field for four years. She has previous experience working in an orthodontics office and now in our pediatric office.
When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling the world. She loves to be outdoors, whether its going on a hike or attending an outdoor concert. Michelle has a great work ethic and loves being part of the CKD family.
Antonia grew up in Santa Clara and moved to Santa Cruz County in 2011. She graduated from the Santa Cruz CTEP dental assisting program in 2019 and got her RDA license in 2020. Her love for working with kids came from spending her summers being a camp leader and has worked with kids ever since. When she started her dental assisting program she knew pediatric dentistry is what she wanted to do. She is very grateful and excited to be a part of the CKD team.
Andrea has worked in dental and medical practices for over ten years. She grew up in Napa and attended University of California Santa Barbara where she received her B.A. degree in Sociology. After college, she pursued a lifelong dream of traveling throughout Europe; eventually settling in Madrid, Spain to teach English to Spanish youngsters.
Andrea is thrilled to be back in Northern California and to call Santa Cruz her home. When she isnt chasing after her daughters, she loves to work on her vegetable garden, relax at the beach, go for bike rides, and explore hiking trails with her family. She loves the high energy of a pediatric-centered team, and is looking forward to building relationships within the Santa Cruz community on personal and professional levels.
