Capitol Square Dental receives a five (5). The staff is very friendly and approachable. They answer any question with knowledge and provide a timely response. Moreover, they answer and return phone calls in a timely manner. Overall, the environment feels family oriented, and I feel very comfortable communicating and receiving services. I have been very satisfied with the services I have received. My smile is much better. Now I feel very comfortable communicating with people and taking pictures since Capitol Square Dental has improved my smile because my teeth look much better. The staff has been my provider for over four (4) years, and I will continue to receive services at Capitol Square as long as I am in Columbus.

I COULD NOT SPEAK MORE HIGHLY OF THIS PLACE IF I TRIED. First off, I called and had an appointment in less than 24 hours, and my second appointment in 2 days. I got 8 fillings today, and getting 7 within the next week and my wisdom teeth removed with them in a couple months. I get SO anxious with dental stuff and they calmed my nerves like no other (that and the nitrous lol). They explained everything as they were doing it, short wait times, professional and friendly staff. I wish every dentistry was like this. Reasonable prices and they are patient and allow you to ask questions. I wish I wasn't moving so I could go to them forever. It's also right downtown. Cannot speak highly enough of this place.

I initially left a positive review just after I left the office. Unfortunately, several problems developed, soon after, and I feel obligated to update my review. During my last visit, the assistant who applied the filling material missed one of the drill holes. I went back into the office because one of the other fillings had a rough feel to it. That was when she discovered the empty drill hole. I thought, "NBD, everyone makes mistakes." But then, after the numbness started wearing off, I noticed two more issues. They had removed some of my metallic fillings and replaced them without consulting me. The new fillings feel strange. They make the tops of my molars feel like smooth ceramic bowls. There's no natural texture to them anymore. In addition, on one of the molars that needed a filling along the gum line, I experienced extreme pain while he was drilling. He had instructed me to raise my hand if I felt any pain. I did so, twice. Both times I was told, "Hang on, I'm almost finished." Let me tell you, that was the most agonizing 30 seconds I've ever experienced. I had never felt pain during a dental procedure before that day. That was a baptism by fire. But, I thought, I guess it will be OK. It wasn't. After the numbness wore off, I could barely chew on that side of my mouth. The stabbing pains were nearly unbearable. I was afraid to go back there. I've never been afraid of a dentist before this experience. The pain stayed intense for six months, then it (very slowly) got better. It finally went away completely after a year and a half. Except, if I press down hard on that tooth with my finger, it's still slightly sensitive (unlike any of my other molars). I avoided any dentistry for over two years after that. I finally made an appointment with a new dentist recently. I hope the new dentist isn't as bad as Dr. Safavian. Don't let his friendly/confident demeanor fool you. He's either incompetent, or a sadist. Update: My new Dentist's office is Beechcroft Dental. They are wonderful. Night and day compared to this place. If you have Medicaid, I recommend them. Don't be like me and ignore the bad reviews. You could end up with long-term pain.

Please stay far away from this group, they will sell any and every service they can with no regard to the need of the patient. 1. When I had my wisdom teeth removed here, the doctor numbed me--went to another patient, would come back every 15-20 minutes, do one tooth, and then leave again to do another. It got so bad that I had to ask in the middle of the procedure to have the assistant get the doctor to finish the job. 2. Everytime you go in there, they will overcrowd their visits and bounce from patient to patient to patient creating an extremely long process. 3. As stated previously, they will recommend unnesecasry services just to get the business. I finally got a second and third option with other dentists that come highly recommended and they both confirmed that the services they sold and wanted to continue on were not needed. I would keep yourself and family far away from this profit first dental center.

Cons: Went for my annual, easy, routine cleaning and only received an evaluation with proposed costs of out of pocket $100s of dollars. No privacy walls and listened to a patient/ doctor conversation. The Dentist does not use his real name. Pros: Clean and friendly

Been to this location for cleanings and a wisdom tooth extraction, and I'm extremely appreciative for their work! Painless extraction and the staff helped keep me as comfortable as possible. Visiting here also gives you a good excuse to walk around the commons

Got a couple of cleanings and crowns, it went very well. I was struck how nice and professionals they all were. Kudos for a job well done, and if one of them is having a bad day, you can't tell, they are very courteous and friendly, they will just make you at ease.

The space is clean and the staff are very nice, that's true. I really wanted to like this place but I can not recommend it. First, they sold me an expensive brush/prescription toothpaste and mouthwash system that I didn't need along with treatment for my "gum disease" (which according to my new dentist, I don't have) This was a little bit of a red flag right off the bat, but dentistry is a for-profit business so what you gonna do? Then I came in for fillings. They fused two teeth together! Doesn't sound that bad but it's extremely painful and it caused my teeth to shift. When I called to complain they didn't believe me, kept saying they might just be a little snug. But lo and behold they had to completely remove the fillings from both teeth and start over. Then they couldn't get the bite right. When I bite down in a certain way nerve pain shoots down my jaw. A year and four follow up visits later I still couldn't chew on one side. When you tell them you're still in pain they brush you off. I was starting to think that maybe they just drilled too far and damaged the nerve, because the dentist could not figure out where the issue was. Finally out of desperation I paid another dentist to fix the mess they made of my teeth and it was a very simple correction. Asked me to bite on a bite strip one time and fixed the problem for good. I don't understand what went wrong here. Not one but TWO dentists at this practice botched very basic dental procedures, and while they did it with an abundance of courtesy, that doesn't change anything. I walked in with no pain and walked out unable to chew. And I paid them over $1000 (With insurance!) for that privilege. If that's what you're looking for in a dentist this is the place for you. If not go ANYWHERE else.

The atmosphere is unique and welcoming. The pre-registration process is thorough and self-explanatory. All of the staff were welcoming and took time answering my questions while validating my concerns. I will be a repeat customer and will refer others too. The dentist doesn't have to be a bad experience!

I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend this business. They have cancelled on me TWICE consecutively. For not having a hygienist available. I've never heard of a dental office doing this. On top of that my Retainers I had made didn't even fit my teeth. They have now wasted my time and money.
