Dr. Yahnian completed his Bachelors of Arts degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Mathematics and Biology in 1986 in Southern California. Graduate of the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. He has completed extensive research in microbiology concentrating on the nature of dental caries, presenting papers to the Rocky Mountain Microbiology Society and the Forsyth Institute. He was a team doctor for the CU football team in the 91 and 92 seasons. Go Buffs!
Over the past 10 years Dr. Yahnian has been awarded the Certificate of Recognition from Delta Dental for providing excellent preventive care and outstanding service to patients. Also, was awarded the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology certificate for Excellence in Radiology. He is a lifetime member of the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Yahnian is also a professional photographer, whose work has been published in magazines and trade journals on 6 continents and is one of the hosts of a podcast serving the photographic and entertainment fields.

Dr. Heather Hong was born and raised in Southern California where she obtained her bachelors degree in physiological science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco.
She later received her specialty training in periodontology and Master of Medical Sciences degree in oral biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While living in Boston, Dr. Hong conducted research in the area of bone regeneration in preparation for dental implants.
She is a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. Heather is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Russell Yancey has been a practicing dentist and anesthesia provider since 2011.He isa highly trainedDentist Anesthesiologist and provides an array of comprehensive services and procedures within thefield.
General dentistry is unlike specialists, who are mostly focused on a particular aspect of dental practice such as Periodontal care and Orthodontics. General dentistry involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the teeth, gums and maxillofacial (associated with the jaw and face) region of the body. These help you maintain good oral health by stopping disease before it takes hold in your mouth. Regular exams (including diagnostic images such as x-rays) and professional teeth cleanings are a cornerstone of prevention. Your general dentist may give you detailed instructions to improve your at-home oral hygiene, and may also recommend preventive fluoride treatments. And if you lead an active lifestyle or if you experience teeth grinding while you sleep, you can be fitted with a custom-made mouth guard.
When a problem is found, we will ensure you get timely and appropriate treatment. Probably the most common (and highly effective) dental restoration involves removing tooth decay and placing a filling in the affected tooth. But thats not the only restorative procedure that we provide. We offer you a place to go when you need prompt treatment for dental traumafor example, a broken, loosened or knocked-out tooth. We can diagnose and treat the causes of tooth pain or periodontal (gum) disease. We may also offer treatments for missing teeth, place crowns or bridgework, and help you get fitted with dentures. In many respects, your oral health can be seen as a mirror of your general health. Some dental problems may reflect issues in other parts of your body, and vice versa. For example, untreated oral infections can lead to poorer control of diabetes, an increased incidence of cardiovascular disease, and complications during pregnancy. General dentists are trained to identify these and other issues, and offer appropriate treatment or referral when needed. I've been a patient, at this dental practice, for about five years. I've always appreciated Dr. Yahnian's professional expertise, and his staff's dedication to making sure I get the maximum benefits from their treatments. They also make sure it's clear to me, what my out of pocket costs, if any, will be, prior to any treatment. And the number doesn't change. Then, I had a dental emergency, and that was when I discovered what a gem of a dental practice, this is. They were available 24/7, they kept in constant contact with me, they worked me into the schedule, for several visits, over the course of the treatment. They all worked to keep the cost at a minimum, while providing high quality care. Through all of it, even as I was stressed out, they were kind and compassionate. Dr. Yahian runs a fantastic dental practice, I can't recommend it, enough!

Dr. hong was great! She explained the procedure throughly and was very gentle - given that I am a big baby when it comes to dental work! She is compassionate, kind and professional. I highly recommend her and well as Dr. Dan and the whole Capitol Dental Staff.

My husband suggested I try Dr. Dan Yahnian. He has been my dentist for about seven years now. He has done a lot of different work gfor me -- fillings, filling replacement, and crowns. Everything is the highest quality. He is honest and upfront, and does really great work.

I have had a terrible experience with this company and completely traumatized from the dentist now. Here are the reasons why: - I have been to this dentist over 8 times in a year because almost everytime I went, something went wrong - whether it be because the filling was put in wrong or the mold of the cap didn't fit. When I informed the dentist that my filling fell out, he gas lit me and told me that it wasn't until he checked and didn't apologize for saying I was wrong many times. Because of this, I have gone to another dentist, who told me that TWO of those fillings need to be redone... causing me MORE money and anxiety. - the dentist (I forgot his name) appears to be kind at first and then the more you go (because chances are, you'll go more than you need too), you notice that he is very rude and belittling to this assistant, a sweet woman from South America (I think). He is very nice to the other assistant who is a white woman (also very kind) but it made me uncomfortable because he was rude in front of me. - Lastly, I want to disclose one thing. I am 7 years in recovery from benzos and other anxiety meds. I got nitrous because I can't take the meds they offer for anxiety. I wasn't told how much this would cost so after my procedure that took longer than it should've because something messed up, I was told a VERY large bill that I am expected to pay. The last time I was there, I left in TEARS and almost had a panic attack because of how anxious I was from the hostility the dentist was towards that foreign woman and towards me. He made me extremely(!!!!) uncomfortable and when I asked how much longer so that I could mentally prepare myself, he said aggressively "it will be however long it needs to be". I left the office VERY dissociated and triggered because all I could think about was a relapse considering how anxious and triggered i was. And let me tell you, I don't get thoughts of relapse rarely ever anymore considering it's been SEVEN years. The reason I am writing this after not going to this dentistry for about 6 months is because I was reminded of the trauma and anxiety this man caused me at the new dentist I went to today. The NEW dentist is correcting two fillings because one of them was incorrectly put in TWICE (they refilled it twice at this dentist) and another, that was put in incorrectly but just now giving me issues. PLEASE save yourself troubles. If you have anxiety already about the dentist, do yourself a favor and find another dentist.

Dr. Dan Yahnian has been my dentist for close to 15 years. I will not go to another dentist as long as he stays in practice. As a 65 year old with plenty of dental history, I assure you; I have NEVER had a better dentist.

Look no further! The day I found Capitol Premier and Dr. Yahnian was a very lucky day for me. I was incredibly anxious because of past experiences with other Dentists and the team here took that into consideration and really made sure I was always well taken care of and comfortable. I am always happy to to go see Dr Yahnian and ladies . I'm greeted with kindness and caring. If I'm in pain they are quick to handle any thing. Dr.Yahnian is very kind and professional.I really feel cared for by him. His staff is great .I won't ever go anywhere else to see a dentist.

Dr. Yahnian is so professional, nice, and he knows what he is doing. Donna is amazing and she is also very professional and makes you feel at ease. Everyone at the office is nice, and makes you feel so at ease and they make sure you are happy with whatever they did for you and will answer any questions you have in a way you can understand without making you feel dumb. I highly recommend them!

The office manager, David is a kind, patient, and professional gentleman representing this office. The dental hygienist, Sara was kind, gentle, patient, understanding and respectful. She explained every step prior to doing it (cleaning and x-rays). She is very educated about dental hygiene and preventing dental problems. Sarah is the best dental hygienist I have ever had! What an impressive and comforting experience I had with the entire office!

Every time I visit Capital Premier, everyone is so nice and accommodating. The office is clean, really accessible from any neighborhood in Denver, and has nice views. The team is overall just really communicative and David is a gem!
