Excellent care, excellent staff, coordinates well with my dentist, lets me know what to expect cost and pain wise, works hard to get me reimbursed by my insurer (which is terrible) . I've had a few procedures skillfully executed here. I'm very happy with Dr. Pratel and staff.

Worst inconsistent service. Financial department is so inaccurate and very unprofessional. Lack of important instructions is communicated. So unprofessional. Gave no instructions for a serious procedure. Received a surprise bill that was supposedly was cover by insurance and received a bill of almost$500 in the mail. The billing lady Tessa lies and misinformed us of the coverage. If could I could give zero stars, I definitely would.

This has to be the worse Dental Office in the Sacramento Area, I went there for X-ray and Plan to have some work done. To make it Short Stay away from them, I wanted to get my X-ray for another opinion and they Claimed they sent me a code with initial email. There reply it must be in your Spam, but I got 1st Email. At that point they told me I could come in and pick up X-ray, well they gave me 1 X-ray . I'm so glad I went with another Dentist. Like I said earlier Run do not use this place.

I had two implants put in, and over thirteen years, they have failed three times. I also had gum replacements done more than once around the implants, and those were also not successful. I went through numerous, painful procedures over the years for nothing. Whatever you do, refuse to see Dr. Chen. Now that my insurance has been maxed out, I am unable to get them fixed. I hope he enjoyed all those vacations at my expense. Minus stars would make more sense

Where are the other 95 stars Dr. Kevin Chen has earned??? (:o){ These people are the most professional geniuses on the one side, but the best of family on the other. I should know after Dr. Chen (Kevin) having to take such excellent care of my very complicated mouth for over a year and being the MOST kind, MOST patient man (except when he's telling jokes WHILE your mouth is open LOL!, of course.) I have never been treated so kindly during some really scary times in my life. Someone gripes because they had to wait 30+ minutes? WA! Did it ever occur to you that this office deals with many very complicated surgeries like mine and sometimes there can be rather large obstacles that may take more time than usual or had been predicted? If you were some cranky, sell-absorbed person out in the waiting room that always puts themselves selfishly #1, in spite of others who might not be waking up due to complications or, say, at the time of extraction, the tooth decides to shatter into a hundred pieces and Dr. Chen has to remove each piece, one at a time, or have one hell of a problem later? even permanent damage? He has FAR TO MUCH INTEGRITY and LOYALTY to his patients to be so uncaring, so disrespectful, sloppy, to ever do that to any patient. He is a perfectionist, thank God! Come on! Put your big boy pants or big girl panties on and consider where you are and what may be going on in the back. Reaction to anesthesia? Shattered tooth that did NOT show up, even in the cone X-ray? ...Just be grateful you have the absolute best doctors in the State - at least - taking care of you or go meander down long rows of doctors who may have finished at the bottom of their classes, couldn't care less about your outcomes, and are treated as just another number who is immediately forgotten about the second you pay the bill and walk out that door. Capital calls to find out how you are doing, etc., etc., etc., because they truly are just like family. Maybe you have no idea how to care about others but they sure do. So just go down the road to someone who could care less as to results. You sound like a very self-centered person who has no compassion for others. Thank GOD Capital Periodontal Group is the absolute complete opposite. I give Dr. Kevin Chen 110% EXCELLENT! His staff gets that same score. they are so very wonderful. Talk about patient relations? They are at the top. Clearly your stammers and bellyaching have misled you in the past.

I'd recommend anyone first look elsewhere before dealing with the staff here. I had to learn the hard way to make sure the dentist and services are covered by my insurance. I was referred to this office for oral surgery earlier this year and on checking my insurance their office let me know I was covered. After the operation however I received a lovely bill for about $2000, finding later that oopsie the office screwed up and I actually wasn't covered from the very beginning. Would have been nice to get some kind of heads-up that after resubmitting multiple claims to my insurance that were denied with the final barely being paid on that I could expect the shaft. Their billing person had said that it was because my insurance had changed, but records show it was the same insurer from the very beginning- she even wrote the correct insurer's name down on the consultation! Additionally, after the operation I ended up being in a TON of pain and ran out of painkillers because in their stellar post-op instructions, their wonderful staff didn't explain that I was supposed to go buy my OWN pain meds to supplement theirs.

Love Dr. Pratel who did my extraction and implants. He takes his time and numbs you very slowly with novocaine before he moves on so you do not feel the needle as much. I so appreciate him for doing that. My experience with Dr. Pratel has been totally painless.
