Teething is a natural occurrence that is necessary for the growth of your child. Although it can be difficult to handle, our pediatric dentist in 20003 has information designed to help you to prepare for this stage in your childs life.

There is a lot of misinformation out there about teething, so it is important to understand what exactly to expect. Knowing the correct symptoms will help you to know when you must contact a dentist or doctor for your child.

Abnormal symptoms would be if your baby has a fever, rash, diarrhea, severe gum swelling, redness, or bleeding. If your baby has any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately to make sure it is not an indication of a larger problem.

Teething TreatmentIf your baby is experiencing sore or inflamed gums, it can be quite difficult to calm them down. A solution to soothe their mouth would be trying a chilled pacifier or teething ring. You can also try massaging their gums gently with a clean finger or dampened piece of gauze.

For the safety of your child, do not use topical pain relievers or homeopathic teething gels and tablets. These forms of relief have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA, which means they might be dangerous for young children.

Dental care is needed as soon as your baby develops their first tooth. When that first tooth emerges you should gently wipe your babys gums with a dampened cloth at least twice a day. Also, once your child develops two teeth that touch, you should begin using floss or an interdental brush daily.

My daughter chipped her teeth extremely bad and they accepted her as an emergency walk-in at the last minute. The front desk and dental staff were absolutely AMAZING!

This is a great patient and friendly dentist office that works amazing with children. My son is Autistic and has been going since he was 4. They are very careful, extremely patient and even take the time to "clean his toy dinosaurs teeth" he has to bring for comfort. Don't look anywhere else. They are amazing! I wish they saw adults.

The staff was professional and welcoming. There wasn't a long wait, even got seen right away considering we were about 45 min early. The team was patient with my daughter and listened to her concerns as well as my own. Definitely recommended

Dr. Majidi is a kind man and a caring dentist. However, he partners with an absolutely terrible dental surgical center. Neither he nor his office provided proactive information to assist us in dealing with this surgical center. I also feel that he is not an effective advocate for his patients and their families.

Well! Honestly I cried as soon as I got in the car. My boys LOVED THEIR HYGIENIST AND DR MAJIDI. From the time we pulled up they kept saying they did not want their teeth cleaning. However, when greeted at the door and their hygienist were cool (as they say) they were ready more than ever! My boys said they made them feel important by asking them about their teeth and they were all smiles from the time we entered to the time we left. Thanks Dr. Majidi and staff for making this such a memorable moment and many more healthy bright white smiles to come!

Capitol Hill Pediatrics Dentistry is one of the most professional practices I have ever done business with. Everyone is very kind, caring and respectful. The dentists and hygienist are absolutely amazing. My daughter loves to go to her dental appointments. They are just as thrilled to see her and always gives her a lot of praise for being such a good patient. The last thing that I'd like to mention is that they truly value our time as their customers. We are always in and out within 40 minutes or less depending on what has to be done during the visit. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

This is my second time coming here with my little one and it was another great experience. The staff were amazing, and very caring. They had baby shark playing, spoke to my little one step by step instructions and gave dental related gifts at the end. They were also efficient in booking the next appointments so I didn't have to worry. Overall this is a moms dream location to bring thier little ones of all ages.

Amazing office, extremely caring staff (both medical and administrative). It was definite breath of fresh air coming to this location from my daughter's former pediatric dentist.
