He earned both his doctorate in dental medicine and oral and maxillofacial certificate from the University of Puerto Rico, which is accredited by the United States Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Delgado then completed a rigorous one-year fellowship in orthognathic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Stuart Super. Dedicated to lifelong learning, he has completed numerous continuing education courses to fortify his knowledge base in a wide range of areas, from complex implant dentistry to sleep medicine.

Your general dentist may refer you or your child to Capital District Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons to have teeth extracted that are no longer supporting your oral health. While losing a natural tooth might be difficult for some patients, it may be the right course of treatment to protect your family's oral and general wellness. Our Albany, NY oral surgeons are highly experienced in performing tooth extractions for patients of all ages, including young children, teens, adults, and elderly patients. Some of the most common reasons for having a tooth extraction are:

Based upon the sedation used throughout the extraction, you or your family member might be required to have an adult escort you home. While your gums heal, it is important to avoid smoking, spitting, and using straws. The recovery process will depend on the complexity of the tooth extraction; however, we advise that you or your child eat soft, room-temperature food for at least a few days after the procedure and avoid extremely hot or cold foods or beverages. To help facilitate the recovery phase, it is important to follow the specific aftercare instructions provided by our team. Post-treatment symptoms, such as swelling and tenderness, can often be managed with cold compresses against the face and over-the-counter pain relievers. A follow-up visit may be scheduled at Capital District Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons for suture removal and to allow our oral surgeons to evaluate your healing progress.

Tooth extractions for children and adults may be covered in part by dental insurance; however, sedation dentistry may not be a covered service. Prior to the procedure, we will call your insurance carrier to review your family's specific policy and estimate any personal costs. If you do not carry insurance or have out-of-pocket expenses, talk with our business team about payment options to help your care fit within your budget. Capital District Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons accepts several payment methods, including flexible plans through a third-party financing partner.

The best experience you could ever imagine. I greatly appreciate every moment of my experience with all staff members. Mostly because of my apprehensive feeling of oral surgery. I was completely put at ease throughout the entire experience. DR. Delgado and his assistants were awesome. Will request him and his staff for any further oral surgery. If I could give 10 stars l would. By the way pain free, no bleeding, or swelling.

Horrible customer service! My implant which was put in 2018 started to ache, I call my dentist just before the Labor Day weekend he prescribed an antibiotic. Unfortunately he was leaving for vacation. I went an got an X-ray the implant was loose and very painful. I contacted capital district oral surgery who did the implant. I called during regular busy hours on Wednesday twice no response, Thursday nothing, I called again on Friday morning. Finally a call back, they told me I had to call the Albany office I left another message there. I did get a call back, I told the woman that the implant was very loose & painful I couldn't chew or touch it with my tooth brush, very painful ! She ask if I had a referral???? I asked why do I need a referral when your dentist did the surgery? She offer me an appointment 1 month away. She couldn't have cared less that I was in pain! Went to my dentist who was back from vacation he extracted the implant. All that money an it only lasted 4 yrs ridiculous ! The staff at capital district oral surgery is awful!

Paid $100. to have Dr. Miron take 2 minutes to look in my mouth and say yes he can do an extraction and an implant. Received a quote to have it done. The day I went in to have the 1st step done I was charged $50 for the extraction. My insurance pays 100% for extractions. And was told that my quote would be DOUBLE what I was told. I decided not to have it done that day. Was not prepared to pay over $1200 that day. NOTHING WAS DONE AT THIS VISIT! 2 weeks later I received an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company. THIS OFFICE BILLED MY INSURANCE FOR AN EXTRACTION THEY DIDNT DO! It's been 2 months now and the office still hasn't corrected this error. And I can't get anyone on the phone! Once this is straighten out, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS OFFICE!

The staff was very hospitable and thorough. There was such a welcoming feeling in the office. They explained every detail and were so patient when I could not decide whether I wanted to be put out or gassed or have nothing. They assured me that my choice to have local anesthesia was not a unique one and I would do well whichever I chose. I chose local but not without much anxiety. Dr.Delgado and his staff were wonderful at mixing professionalism with kindness and artistry. Did not feel his needles and never felt as if I was numb but had no pain or discomfort during procedure. I am so happy my Dentist refered me to this office. I had a very positive experience. Got to pharmacy right after and my prescription was already there

Dr. Miron is fantastic! He has performed oral surgery on several of my family members from in and out of state. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has a great bedside manner. Awesome physician!

Dr. Miron extracted 3 of my 7 year old daughters baby teeth and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Kaylee, his assistant, was so warm and caring, and made my daughter feel so comfortable and at ease about the procedure. She took care of her as if she were her own daughter and went above and beyond for us. Dr. Miron is great with children and has a wonderful bedside manner. All in all, a great office!

We Had the most wonderful experience at both locations with Dr. Delgado, who went above and beyond to help my father, he had some serious dental issues that were stopping him from eating or drinking as he's in the final stages of his battle with liver cancer we really needed to get his dental issues taken care of ASAP and they got us in right away and even did dental surgery the day of our initial intake visit cause it's hard to get him out of the house let alone a hour drive. Our whole family is so thankful for dr delgado and staff I won't get into details but when I say he went above and beyond we really mean it we were in a tuff spot and he was there to help, he gave us a Christmas miracle by helping my dad we are so grateful and from the bottom of our hearts we appreciate everything they did for us! HIGHLY recommend this place and we recommend you request Dr Delgado who is truly amazing!! Also his assistant that helped us at the Albany location on our first visit there was fabulous I wish I could remember her name but she made us feel so comfortable and she also went out of her way to help my dad, I can't say enough good things about her! I hope she sees this because I would like to say Thank you so much for everything you and dr Delgado did for my dad you truly helped his quality of life and will forever be Grateful!!

I'm a really positive person. I tried my best to ignore the fact that they could never get my name right (first or last), even after I corrected them over and over again. On the phone, in person, always addressing me by the wrong name...Its so off-putting and unprofessional. The staff, especially the lady at the Cashier, is dry and rude and don't seem to care to get a patient's name correct. The doctor is nice, thats the one positive! But I'm so uncomfortable with the overall service here.

Last years extraction went smoothly but follow up appointment left me sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes until I had to leave to get my kids. Apologies and another appointment the next day which was farther for me to travel as I was told I had to see the same doctor in Albany, had me sitting for 30 minutes until I told the receptionist I had had enough. I have an appointment with a different group tomorrow.

I just had a tooth extracted by Dr. Demarco and his friendly and courteous staff. They are all very knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Demarco was very good at letting me know what was going to happen next. Before I knew it the tooth was out!!!! I would rate them all 10+ stars.

Surgeons are wonderful but front staff including billing is difficult to work with.

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed here. I went in with a lot of anxiety but everyone was very professional and I had a great experience. All my questions were answered and my surgery felt quick and relatively painless.
