Is a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. A Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry or F.A.G.D. is an award earned by dentists passing a four hundred question exam and must have a minimum of five hundred approved continuing education credits. A council of the Academy of General Dentistry reviews each individual application for the Fellowship Award as standards of the Academy of General Dentistry must be met on dental education before continuing the award process. Obtaining the Fellowship Award is a challenge however, it is a great achievement. The Fellowship achieved by Dr. Artley in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) is a distinction bestowed on less than 7% of all dentists within the United States. FAGD dentists provide top quality dental care for patients through their continuation of education, learning new techniques and latest developments in dentistry. Dr. Artley graduated from Temple Universitys' School of Dentistry (DMD) in 1998. Dr. Artley has been practicing Dentistry in the Melbourne and Palm Bay area since 2000.
He lives in the Bayside area of Palm Bay which is walking distance from his Bayside offices. The Artley household is made up of his devoted wife, Julie who also is a healthcare professional licensed in Pharmacy and sons Benjamin and Samuel Jr. His hobbies include cooking and horticulture.

* Today's visit was much better! Everyone was super nice and my billing issue was fixed. ** update the office reached out to me to rectify the situation. Hopefully, it will go better this time. On my first visit, I was informed by the clerical staff that I would be contacted after my benefits were ran through my insurance with any costs that would be due at my next visit. I never received any communication from the office. Second visit, I showed up and was informed that the type of cleaning I needed is done in 2 sessions. Was never informed of the cost again and/or the time that would be involved. Third visit, I come back for the "second half" of the cleaning and was told the cost before being seen would be over $500.00 since my insurance does not cover the deep cleaning. I can't even speak to the office manager because he is the one who misinformed me in the first place. I ask them if I can go ahead and get a regular cleaning while I'm there (since I have taken off of work) and Iam told "no, it's against the doctor's recommendations ". I'm not one to write reviews but this was extremely unprofessional behavior by the doctor and his management. However, the rest of the staff that works for them were wonderful!

They got us in for a check-up quick, but the dentist we saw was a little pushy and made no effort to make my wife feel comfortable during whats a pretty scary situation for someone who hasn't been to the dentist in a long time. Acted kinda like she had better things to be doing at that moment.

I am giving a 2 and not a 0 only because the hygienist is great! I have been going to this dentist for 4 years but never needed any work done, just clean. I broke my cap and needed a new one! Dr Artly showed no compassion, was rough, not gentle at all and he mocked me when I made a noise of uhhhh, as in pain! He jammed the Novocain needle into my gum with out warning! He never told me what he was doing or asked how I was doing throughout the long process of removing a cap! Now, usually, getting an old cap taken off isn't a major deal, right? Well, it took a long time and had to jam another needle in my gums to numb me more! I left with a temp cap! Feeling sore and exhausted from that simple procedure! A new cap 3 weeks later...OMG. I usually don't mind the dentist but I honestly can say I now have post traumatic stress syndrome from these past 2 visits! Seriously, I needed 2 shots of Novocain into my gums to put a cap on! He had to jam the cap into my GUMS, yes jam! I'm not being over dramatic! I was in in some major pain from this procedure! Artly finally told me, after if was all done, that was the only way the cap would stay on! I would have had it PULLED if I knew the pain I would experience then and a WEEK following!! I will never go back there! LISTEN, IF you want a gentle, caring, compassionate dentist, don't go to Capeside and ask for Artly. If those are qualities of a dentist you don't need, go for it!

Wonderful dental office. The staff is great. I got the best teeth cleaning I've ever had anywhere. Allison is so nice, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend Capeside Dental.

Went to office due to my partial causing sore on inner cheek . Dr. Jones took care of me promptly and my partial was a better fit. Very happy with her kindness and communication.

I was a little anxious about coming in for my deep cleaning today oh, I was sure I would need long but the gel use for numbing was more than sufficient. To my pleasant surprise it was painless and a great experience! Thank you to the hygienist for doing such a wonderful job, she was excellent!

For new patients, please don't miss your 1st appointment because they will not reschedule you that day or the near future. I had an appt but couldn't make it as planned. I called to let the office know and wanted to reschedule but they wouldn't. Things come up sometimes and unfortunately within that hour time of your appointment. If that's their policy then this is something they should make the potential patient know at the time of scheduling. I can't imagine this is good for business and I'm not sure the doctor is aware of how the office staff runs his business.
