Dr. Hannah Lee Thompson was born and raised primarily in eastern North Carolina. She attended high school in Wake Forest, NC and was awarded an athletic scholarship to East Carolina University for swimming. Dr. Thompson graduated with a degree in Health Education and Promotion, was captain of the womens swim team, and awarded the universitys student-athlete of the year in 2013. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to serve on several mission trips to different areas, including Mexico, multiple parts of Africa, and Nicaragua. It was on these trips that Dr. Thompson fell in love with dentistry and serving her community and decided to pursue a degree in dentistry. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry now UNC Adams School of Dentistry, where she continued her heart for missions and serving.Dr. Thompson loves every opportunity to volunteer at the local schools and be involved in the growth of our outstanding community.

Dr. Thompson enjoys all aspects of family and cosmetic dentistry and has a special passion for treating children. She strives to create a laid back, comfortable environment for her patients while providing them with the highest quality of care. Dr. Thompson is married to Corey Thompson, whom she met while she was swimming and he was playing baseball at ECU. Outside of the office, Dr. Thompson and her husband enjoy spending time with their friends and family, cheering on all of the Pirate athletic teams (with a side of Tarheel sports as well!), going to the beach, working out, and exploring all that our wonderful coastal town has to offer.

A true southerner, Sarah was born and raised in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Her love for the ocean brought her here to Morehead City, where she has resided for nearly 15 years. Her father was a well-known dentist in Wake Forest, so dentistry has been ingrained within her from the very beginning. She worked on the clinical side for over a decade but eventually found her passion in patient care and management. Growing up in dentistry, she believes that a dental practice should be like a family. She strives to ensure that we always treat our patients as individuals, putting them and their needs first before anything else. Sarahs goal is to create a warm and loving atmosphere, where both employees and patients feel important and cared for.A jack of all trades, you will either find her up front keeping our office running smoothly or just as easily working on teeth with the rest of our crew.

Sarah and her family are avid hikers and share a love for nature. They especially enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains, the ocean, and traveling. Together they are slowly but surely checking adventures off of their bucket lists.

Holly was born and raised in Oshkosh, WI. She has been an active part of the dental field since 1994 when she received her degree in Dental Hygiene. Holly is very passionate about what she does and it shows! Her goal is to create trusting relationships with her patients and inspire them to have a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles. Her husband, Scott, retired from the United States Coast Guard in 2015 and we are so thankful to him and their family for their service! Holly traveled with him throughout his career to many different places, including Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Hawaii (and she has dental experience from all of these places).

Holly and Scott have two children. Her daughter, Mckayla, is graduating from nursing school in May 2020. Her son, Charlie, joined the United States Air Force in July 2019. We are so proud of her and her family! When Holly isnt busy at work, she enjoys camping, boating, outdoor activities, and anything that lets her spend time with her wonderful family. We absolutely love Holly and are so thankful that her smiling face is a part of our Cape Lookout Dental Team!

CJs love of dentistry has blessed her with 38 years of wonderful patients, team members, and very knowledgeable dentists (and we think we are very blessed to have her!). She has learned from some of the very best throughout her career, from Raleigh to the Crystal Coast. She has a great wealth of valuable experience in general dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, CEREC same-day crowns, office administration, dental consulting, and so much more. She has received second-to-none training from all over the United States and still enjoys learning new things each day! Through her dental knowledge, she is able to not only educate our patients about their dental needs and wants but also help them feel confident in their choices and procedures. She thrives on showing each patient genuine compassion, in order for them to have the best dental experience. Her goal is for every patient to leave with a smile and know that we care.

When CJ is not at work, she enjoys working out, cooking, listening to music, interior decorating, spending time with her family, and really loves spending time on the water! Youll catch her fishing, boating, relaxing on the beach with friends, and having fun with her sweet Lab, Deacon! We are so very blessed to have CJ and her extensive experience as part of our Cape Lookout Dental Team!

Amanda was born and raised in Carteret County. After graduating high school, she attended Carteret Community College for two years. She became interested in dentistry after being a patient herself. She was asked by her dentist if she would like to train to become a dental assistant. She trained for two years, where she obtained x-ray, OSHA, and CPR certification, as well as many hands-on skills needed. She worked in private practice for six years.Following this, Amanda became a dental assistant for the Carteret County Mobile Dental Clinic for children. She worked there for 11 years. Amanda started with our practice in September of 2019 and has made a great positive impact on our team, patients, and office atmosphere.

Outside of the office, you can find her singing to our wonderful kiddo patients or working hard with a big smile on her face! She enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. We are so glad she is a part of our Cape Lookout team!
