Dr. Phillip Kraver is the oldest son of Dr. Mark Kraver. He was 6 years old when his family moved to Cape Coral. He grew up boating, fishing, and playing numerous sports all over Lee County. He is a graduate of Fort Myers High School, the University of Central Florida, and the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also received an Honors Certificate in Prosthodontics for completing a rigorous course load in all areas of advanced prosthetic dentistry.
After graduation Dr. Kraver chose to further his education by completing a General Practice Residency program at the Medical College of Georgia. There he studied full mouth implant reconstruction, computer guided dentistry, bone grafting techniques, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and IV conscious sedation. Dr. Kravers passion for dentistry is obvious in the way he treats and educates his patients. He enjoys creating personalized treatment options to help enhance and restore your teeth to their optimal beauty and function.
Dr. Kraver is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Lee County Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Society for Dental Anesthesia and has a Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He has also been awarded Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry, a high honor requiring hundreds of hours of continuing education and completion of a comprehensive written examination.
Dr. Kraver and his wife, Jenny, have four young and energetic children. As a family they are very active with their church and the local community. His interests are playing with his kids, photography, boating and fishing, reading, web developing, playing with his kids some more, and watching college athletics (Go Gators!).
Dr. Mark Kraver graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1985. Upon graduation, he chose to begin his career by serving his country in the United States Air Force. As a Captain, he received advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, which led him to be named department heads of both Periodontics and Endodontics at Tinker AFB.
It was always Dr. Kravers dream to move back to Florida where he spent most of his childhood. After his time of service was completed, he finally moved his family to Southwest Florida in 1988. Since his return, his commitment to quality dental services and patient comfort has made Cape Dental Care into one of the most established and respected dental practices in Southwest Florida.
Dr. Kraver has pursued over a thousand hours of continuing education in practically every field of dentistry. He is an alumnus of some of the most renowned dental education centers in America including the Pankey Institute, the Dawson Center, the Hornbrook Group, the Parker Mayhan Craniofacial Pain Center at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and Dr. Arun Gargs Implant Seminar Series. Dr. Kraver was considered a pioneer in laser dentistry when he purchased his first dental laser over 20 years ago. Today he utilizes his expertise in laser dentistry for a wide variety of procedures, from accurately detecting cavities (diagnoDent) to laser-assisted root canals(PIPS).
Dr. Mark Kraver is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Lee County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Kraver and his wife, Nita, have raised three beautiful grown children who are now starting to raise families of their own. He has many interests and hobbies including photography, videography, writing, blogging, landscaping, fishing, horticulture, aquaponics, snow skiing, and of course birds. I have been going to Cape Dental for years. The Kraver family embodies the values of a family business. Always feel welcome and cared for. On yesterday, I had a rare issue, a piece of my tooth came off. I called and Doc Kraver Sr said he could see me the next day. Turned out to be not so bad, he had to refill an old filling. He and his assistant did so magnificently. Some pain of course but not much. I was appalled at what had happened because I have great teeth (lucky) but he settled me down by his proficient style. The bird sanctuary is outstanding and always delivers a calming experience. Dawn handles our families cleanings and does a great job. Thank you to the Cape Dental team, from the desk to the techs, job well done.

Cape Dental changed the game for me. I have severe dental anxiety and as a result hadn't seen a provider in over a decade. Their office staff is kind, their hygienists are angels, and the doctors are extremely talented. I had a major overhaul of my mouth today under anesthesia. Given all the work that was needed I was ready for several days of recovery pain. NOPE. After a post-op nap, I feel fantastic and my smile hasn't looked this good in years. I literally have cried happy tears of joy. I'm a patient of theirs for life.

A top-rate dental practice! I have the utmost confidence in my dentist (Dr. Philip Kraven) and nothing but praise and accolades for the staff. I have lived in 8 states and have been a patient in 11 dental offices. Without a doubt, Cape Dental Care ranks as the best in my book. If you're seeking a dentist, I highly recommend this group. I should also mention that they're doing a phenomenal job keeping their patients safe during the CoVid pandemic. Update 7/20/22: I'm moving 1700 miles away this week and will miss this dental practice. I have received excellent care, from cleanings, to a crown and an implant. Absolutely amazing group here. Kudos to all for a job well-done every single visit.

I have been under Cape Dental Care's care since last fall and I can honestly say that they have taken the majority of my fear away. I have always been afraid of the dentist and was in an accident some twenty odd years ago that left me with subpar dental work (from up north) and finally decay and a worn out bridge. After visiting a few dentist around town, I chose Dr Phill Kraver at Cape Dental Care for my implants and restorative care. Not only is he amazing and truly caring, so is the entire staff! They have an in house lab which meant all work done on the premises and not having to go to oral surgeons and back again. I still have a few months to go but can say without hesitation that I highly recommend Dr Phill and have done so many times already. They may not be the least expensive in town, but they sure are the best in my opinion. Thank you, Dr Phill and everyone at Cape Dental Care!

I had a molar pulled this morning at 10 am, the tooth was a back molar which is usually very painful for a day or two after, it is now 7:30pm same day and I feel normal no pain . I had mild and I mean mild discomfort, when the tooth was pulled and nothing after that, just wanted to say thanks to the Dr. and staff it was to my surprise a very painless procedure.I would recommend Cape Dental Care as the only place to go for all of your dental needs. Excellent Customer care. Very thoughtful and professional. Dental Technician was thorough and knowledgeable. We have a special needs young adult who is very difficult. Dawn was gentle and very understanding. I highly recommend this establishment for any Parent who has a loved one who has had a past experience that was not acceptable or pleasant. She is extraordinary!

Can you have any more paper in an office. Checking out I could see multiple patients am on a piece of paper and on charts. Dentists are arrogant and to be honest, they're not good enough to be arrogant. Staff was friendly, but seemed stressed. There is a dentist on every corner.....Don't waste your time or money.

I've been going to Cape dental since last year and have been very happy. The people there are so very understanding Dr Phil has been really great with all my issues. So nice to know that there is somebody who is a doctor and is a Christian. I highly recommend them for any of your dental needs.

My appointment was for a repair of a filling behind one of my front teeth. The usual xray and a tiny camera took pictures of my tooth. A topical ointment numbed my gums and then Dr. Kraver gave me a shot which I hardly felt. Dr. Kraver did his magic and just a short time later the filling was done. Even more magical, Dr. Kraver did not charge me the quoted initial fee as he did not have to do all the surfaces. I would have never known that. I have great respect for Dr. Kraver's integrity, humor and expertise. I would highly recommend Cape Dental Care. Thank you Dr. Kraver.

This practice is top-notch from Drs. Kramer (Phil and Mark) to our hygienist, Dawn. We are treated with compassion and care and we trust them with our dental health. They are not the least or most expensive around, but we feel we are getting our money's worth.

From the time I walked into this beautiful office all the way through check out I was greeted with friendly faces and concern for my comfort and well being.
