Dr. Capan is passionate about Orthodontics - she believes the power of a beautiful and healthy smile is immeasurable. She is drawn to the perfect balance of art and science in her specialty. She has followed her dream to become an orthodontist by graduating from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania - graduating Cum Laude and receiving several other awards. As a native of Bergen County, she attended the Dwight-Englewood School and the Elisabeth Morrow School.

She is an avid member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Harvard Society of Orthodontists, the Columbia Orthodontic Society and the World Federation of Orthodontists.

Dr. Capan lives in Cresskill with her husband, Greg, who is a Certified Financial Planner, and their 3 sons. She enjoys baking and playing golf (although not quite competent) and spending time with family and friends!

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Kim has been assisting at Capan Orthodontics since 2012. After completing her studies at Fortis Institute, she received her RDA, CDA and Dental Radiology License. She has happily found her home at Dr. Capans office where her motivated and energetic co-team members always make her day fly by. Learning something new and challenging herself everyday truly motivates Kim to be an exceptional assistant, person and friend to her team members and patients. Her goal is to have every patient leave with a smile and understanding every aspect of their treatment. She always wants her patients to know that we are always just a phone call away if they have any questions or concerns. Kim lives in Palisades Park and enjoys traveling with her husband and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Jane has been managing our front office since she joined the Capan Orthodontics family in 2017.She received her BS in Paralegal Studies from St. Johns University and worked over 11 years as a litigation paralegal in NYC.In addition, she has over 6 years of medical administrative experience.She truly enjoys meeting and welcoming patients and their families to our office and making the experience as warm and comfortable as possible. Her passion is coordinating and multi-tasking to keep our administrative office organized, on schedule and running smoothly.She loves to help everyone in any way she can and is always available for patients with questions or concerns whether they are about their care, scheduling, insurance or financial matters. Jane really strives to give patients a clearer understanding of insurance benefits and contract matters. She feels every day is a great day when working with the fabulous Capan team of co-workers and all our wonderful patients.Jane is happily married and has three wonderful teenagers to keep her on her toes!In her spare time, she loves caring for her African Grey parrot and chickens, boating, mountain-biking and cooking.

Brittney was born in the Bronx and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. She have always been a caring and nurturing person which led her to be a preschool/kindergarten teacher for 4 years. She was always curious about Dentistry and decided to change career paths. Brittney graduated on the Deans list from Fortis Institute Spring of2019 and found her home at Capan Orthodontics May 2019. She is CPR certified and has her New Jersey Radiology License. She is actively pursuing my CDA and RDA license. Brittney could not be more happy working in Orthodontics. I feel like I am making a difference in each of our patient's lives and that is very rewarding to me. In Orthodontics, your patients become like family because you are taking a very special journey with them. She aims to bring positive and great energy to our office while make the process fun and most importantly, comfortable for each and every one of our patients. She loves our office because we are one big family that work hard together to get the job done. Brittney loves working beside people that truly love and have a great passion for what they do. She is excited to keep growing as an assistant and helping change our patients smiles.

Lexi has been working at Capan Orthodontics since she was 16 years old, the youngest to ever start at our office! She quickly decided to study and receive her Dental Radiology License and now works as a clinical assistant. Ever since she was a child, Lexi has always known she wanted to work in the Dental field. Since she was a patient at Capan Orthodontics, she saw the positive energy where everyone worked so well together happily and this sparked her interest in Orthodontics! She sees working at the office as an opportunity that changed her life for the better! In describing the office she says, 'Its one of those jobs where going to work does not feel like I am going to work; it feels like Im going to see my family! She is currently studying at Ramapo College to further her career in the dental field.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)- Amanda has been a part of the Capan Orthodontics family since 2009. Her passion for the dental field began in 2005 at just 17 years old working in a general dental office setting. She has enjoyed becoming fully credentialed with not only her RDA but also her, COA (Certified Orthodontic Assistant) CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) along with her Radiology license. She sees every patient as a member of our office family and treats each with individualized care. Amanda is motivated by the smiles of patients and team members at the office and the confidence of the patients that come in just to say hello. Her goal is to help in creating lifelong smiling memories for her patients, alongside Dr. Capan and her inspirational team. Amanda lives in Norwood with her husband and two children, Jaxton and Jolie. She enjoys baking, painting and traveling.
