Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Overcoming previous dental trauma is hard. But my care at Canyon did that and so much more. From the front desk to my hygienist (Sarah) to the dental team (Dr Kaus, assisted by Rina) to the scanner (Erika) they were a great source for comfort, professionalism, and zero discomfort. Dr. Montgomery has great personality, humble, kind and awesome service. I have never had a dentist clean my teeth... I was shocked and amazed with the service provided. Recommend everyone to go. I've been coming here for a very long time I clean my teeth every 4 to six months just to keep my gum healthy. My last visit was very disappointing I had an appointment and they canceled it without letting me know and I passed my due date for cleaning so I had a little inflammation in my gum this last visit. On top of all that they made me wait inside 25 minutes passed my appointment time and I had to tell the nurse how long I'm gonna keep waiting more, than she went and called the hygienic to come and clean my teeth she didn't even did her best job! I'm very disappointed!

I'm very frustrated with this dentist. I have had to cancel several times because of insurance issues on their end. I have had the same insurance for well over 20 years and each time I schedule my appointment they call me say I don't have insurance and then they cancel my appointment. I call everything is fine. Now I'm here can't get my full service because they are saying it's out of office hours and they can't verify my insurance. I am very frustrated with this issue not once but 3 times now. I don't think I'll go back, I have never had these issues at any other office.

Called to make an appointment and it was the most seamless, professional, courteous process I have experienced in many years. Just showed up for my appointment and the staff is so nice. Check in was a breeze and I already feel so cared for. I would recommend Canyon Medical Dentistry to anyone looking for a great experience! First appointment was a complete success! Amy at the front was so friendly and professional. She made me feel like family. Jordan made X-rays the easiest I've experienced. Dr Nguyen explained everything and showed great care for me as his patient. Sarah explained the deep cleaning every step of the way and continually ensured I was comfortable as she went along. I really like this dentist office. The endodontist is amazing although he is only in the office on Mondays which makes it hard to schedule after work as the late appointments are usually filled. The front office staff are very helpful and nice. I really appreciated their help today. They also don't really work with people who want later appointments.
