After growing up in Texas, Europe, and Utah, Dr Robbie Schaack is proud to have made the Hill Country his home! After spending many years as a city folk, he and his family fell in love with all the beauty and recreation this area has to offer.
Dr Schaack is a progressive and caring dentist who treats each individual as a person and friend first, and as a patient second. He loves connecting with his patients on a personal level and listening to each individuals unique concerns, needs, and wants.
As a young adult, Dr Schaack volunteered two years of his life to serve a humanitarian mission in Lithuania. During this life-changing experience, he discovered his passion for empowering others to make lifestyle changes that cultivate better health and prosperity. He continued to pursue this passion by completing his dental training at the prestigious Baylor College of Dentistry where he graduated with numerous awards for his clinical achievement, leadership, and community service. His commitment to providing the highest quality of care then led him to complete an additional optional residency program at the University of Washington in Seattle where he received advanced medical and dental training. He continues to advance his knowledge by completing about ten times more continuing education hours each year than what is required by the state board.

When Dr Schaack is not in the office, his favorite hobbies include date nights with his wife Jessica, listening to podcasts and audio books, taking road trips, and playing with his darling daughter Myla who anxiously awaits to tackle him when he comes through the door from work each day. He has also been heavily involved in community volunteer work by serving on boards of local dental societies, leading oral health awareness campaigns in elementary schools, helping cancer victims, and performing dental work for the needy in community clinics. He has led several humanitarian efforts in Eastern Europe and Central America. He is also very active in giving service to local church and youth groups, and currently leads a bible study class for youth.
In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling, and enjoying anything outside or water related. She likes spending time with family and friends which includes her beloved fur babies (3 dogs and 1 cat).
Jodi is a consummate professional who is passionate and takes pride in her work. Jodi provides patients with excellent dental hygiene care in a comfortable treatment environment. She has put time into her craft and believes strongly in being a patients advocate which aids in empowering them in their oral health.
Jodi has a broad skill base with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and periodontal therapies, as well as staying up to date on the latest advancements in her field. She is dedicated to and enjoys the opportunity she has to help patients understand why complete oral health is beneficial, essential, and connected to their overall health.
Jodi grew up in small farming community in Southern Idaho and after marrying her high school sweetheart they spent many years in Utah for her husband to attend college. She wasnt born in Texas but got here as soon as she could. She loves living here and raising her three beautiful children, one daughter and two boys. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, spending time outdoors, serving in the community, and of course shopping! Jodi has a strong desire to serve others by delivering hygiene care internationally on a dentistry mission trip.
Brooke was born and raised in a small town called Burnet, Tx. She moved to San Antonio shortly after high school to study dental hygiene at Concorde Career College, where she graduated with her degree in 2019. She is passionate about instilling confidence and comfort to her patients by removing barriers of fear or insecurity in order to help them achieve their greatest potential.
Miya is a Registered Dental Hygienist with a passion for listening to each of her patients and discovering each persons unique situations, educating them, and then building a custom oral healthcare plan to help everyone be the healthiest they can be.
Formerly a pharmacist in South Korea, Miya immigrated to the US when her eldest son was only 4 months old so she and her husband could raise their family in America. She wanted a change in careers and chose dental hygiene because of its proactive approach to healthy living. Having a deep international education and occupational history in the medical field has provided Miya a well developed and unique approach to dental hygiene.
Pedro loves helping our patients by easing their fears of going to the dentist and boosting their confidence by improving their smile. He has extensive experience working in the dental field, including the opportunity of flying all over Texas while working with an anesthesiologist. This experience has empowered him to also help our office as an Anesthesia Officer, helping ensure high standards of care and safety for all the sedations that are performed in our office.

Dr. Schaak and his staff are amazing! So professional, yet warm and friendly. Real people who are really nice! And the dental experience is five star! The most comfortable and relaxing dental experience I've ever had. Cannot recommend highly enough. I was a nurse for over twenty years. This practice is hands down the most knowledgeable and caring group of medical professionals I have ever known. This is what patient care is supposed to be.

I went to Canyon Lake Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for cleaning. Brooke was great, cleaning was performed thoroughly and professionally with care. Dr. Schaak explained ongoing care requirements and options with respect to overall dental health. Teresa and Donna in the front office are incredible and diligent with insurance issues. I am suffering from a severe autoimmune condition that has destroyed my teeth. For over 2 years my husband and I have been trying to find a dentist to help us. All the places my Medicare Advantage had been sending us we never saw a Dentist we couldn't get pass the Financial Operator who was telling us that we couldn't get anything done without $40,000. I had to start a GoFundMe account to try and raise the money to get the old teeth and bridges removed and Implant Dentures to replace them. I wish I had the option of getting plan dentures but because of my Autoimmune System my mouth is dry all the time and regular dentures cause a lot of pain and ulcers. Through my GoFundMe account I was told about Dr. Robbie Schaack . Now we live in Mico Texas and Dr. Schaack is at Canyon Lake, that without traffic is an hour and half drive, I will say now it was definitely worth the drive. The Customer Service and the Tech's that we had interaction with was above and beyond. When Dr. Schaack walked into talk with us his first words were that he was sorry for all the illness that I have been going through for at least 20 years. And now dealing with an incurable autoimmune disease. Right there he had our respect for seeing us and for showing such empathy for my condition. He stayed and spoke with us for over an hour. He gave us options he spoke to us at length on ways we could go about getting my teeth fixed. He even said that he would do whatever we needed even if we didn't want to drive all the way over there. We still have to get his proposal, but he has gained our respect so much that I have now doubt that I will be happy to drive an hour and a half to get him to do the work. After all the time and effort to us he went above and beyond anything any other place we've been to. His concern over my illnesses and the condition of my teeth sealed the deal for me. If your in the area and you need a Dentist please give them a chance, you will not regret it. I am so thankful that Dr. Schaack was put in our path and has given us some hope for a better future. This is my updated review on Canyon Lake Dental and I am still in love with this practice, and Dr. Schaack. We have been working with him to make my implant dentures. He has made each step of this journey as painless as possible. I am so pleased with the progress and how careful and concerned Dr. Schaack has been with my autoimmune diseases and the attention he gives me to be sure that all of the implants have fully integrated before moving on. Right now he is in the process of actually building my top denture. We are so extremely happy we have made it this far. Canyon Lake Family Dental is the place to go for a real family treatment. I can't wait we will have upper teeth soon. Hopefully I will be posting a picture soon. I am so happy that we went all the way to Canyon Lake area to find this wonderful Dentist. I know we still have a way to go but this practice is the only one I want to go to.

Very kind and patient staff. Dr. Schaak was the only local dentist that kept his office open and treated me when I had a very painful dental emergency. Others that I had contacted offered no help. I would highly recommend him and his team. He will undoubtedly be my dentist from now on.
