Our dentist, Dr. Kyle Bowen, has extensive clinical experience in general dentistry, as well as training in advanced dental procedures, including certification in IV sedation, wisdom tooth removal and oral surgery, dentalimplants, and endodontics. He loves his patients and helping them in any way that he can. He spends as much time as possible refining his skills and learning new and advanced techniques to provide the best dental care available.
Dr. Kyle Bowen grew up in Draper, UT, and attended Southern Utah University. While there, he obtained his degree in Economics, with a minor in Chemistry. Following graduation from SUU, he received the RDEP scholarship to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry. At Creighton, Dr. Bowen graduated at the top of his class, and was named Creightons top student in implants and endodontics.
After graduation from Creighton, he worked full-time for a dental office in Draper. During his time there, he continued to refine his dental skills and learn new techniques, including advanced training for IV sedation, implants, and wisdom teeth. He has done mini-residencies in oral surgery in Dallas and Parkland Hospital, and in Curritiba, Brazil.
Dr. Bowen loves his patients and helpsthem in any way that he can. He spends as much time as possible refining his skills and learning newer and advanced techniques to provide the best dental care available.
Kelsey joined Canyon Dental in 2016 as our office manager. Her primary focus is to ensure that every patient has a great experience at our office. She will help you understand and make decisions aboutyour dental care. Kelsey has extensiveexperience withtreatment planning, insurance, and finance. She will assistyou with understanding and maximizing your benefits, while serving as your advocate with dental insurance companies. She will also help you with any other financing needs to help you receive the care you need to achieve your best dental health.
Kelsey grew up in Layton, Utah, and has recently made Utah County home. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking, biking, water skiing, and most outdoor activities that doesnt involve snow. She played club volleyball growing up and still loves playing, coaching and watching.

I required two crowns (not on my head). Dr Bowen did a great job. The crowns have the same feel as the originals. Beyond that, he runs a very professional operation there -- the office, his staff, Dr Bowen himself, the organization - from their kind treatment of the patients to scheduling to the latest technology they use. It's worth the 25-min drive

Everyone here is incredibly kind and accommodating! They're very understanding of anxiety, and they were very accepting and affirming with my being trans. They immediately updated my name on their system, and I didn't have a single problem (considering I had to go in 6-8 times this year, that's a very good track record.) 10/10 they definitely are actually LGBTQ+ friendly :)

Nothing but 5 stars for Canyon Dental and Dr. Bowen. They give great attention to the routine procedures and go above and beyond for the abnormal stuff. I had a chipped tooth Sunday morning on a holiday weekend, and by Sunday afternoon, Dr. Bowen fixed it up for me. Two thumbs way up.

Best Dentist I have ever had! The customer service is exceptional and they do great work. They also work fast so I highly recommend for anyone with a busy schedule. They always give me a realistic time frame and they are always done on time and usually finish early. I once had a filling that was causing me discomfort and they scheduled a replacement filling immediately. My teeth feel much better and they really took care of me. I have been with them for three years and have never had a bad experience and I look forward to being with them for many years to come.

Called Dr. Bowen at 11pm on the 4th of July, after my 7year old daughter thought it would be a good idea to frog jump to bed and fell forward on tile face first and chipped her front teeth. We were exhausted and bet he was too, but he said it was best to get it fixed ASAP. We were at his office 10min later and so was he, with his two sons and wife, still in their Fourth of July swimsuits! He rebuilt a quarter of her tooth and it looks great! We were in, out and home by 11:40pm. Thank you for being so gracious of your time especially on a holiday. You went above and beyond as our family dentist. As always I would recommend him to anyone. Side note: the new office looks awesome. Clean and organized.

Very kind man. Easy to talk too and wanted to know about my life and aspirations. I had X-rays done and wanted them sent to me and Kyle personally emailed them to me with a kind message. Highly recommend him. His staff was kind and his assistant was wonderful to talk to you!

Dr. Bowen is a top-notch human being! It's a pleasure every time to get to talk to him he genuinely cares about his clients and is very enthusiastic and friendly! You can tell customer service is his top priority throughout the business. His staff are remarkably friendly also, and he has made every situation right that I brought to his attention. He is incredibly honest and provides thorough work! Strongly recommend.

I contacted the office on a Sunday with a dental emergency. Even though Dr. Bowen was travelling, he immediately got in touch with me. He made arrangements to meet me at his office once he was back in town (travelling from Texas) later the same day. I was thoroughly impressed with his willingness to meet me on Sunday after travelling all day. I was extremely nervous for the procedure, Dr. Bowen was able to provide the perfect amount of patience, compassion and care throughout the procedure. I highly recommend Dr.Bowen/Canyon Dental. Five PLUS stars review!

We just came back from this place and I just wanted to share my experience . This dental place is the BEST place I have been gone. All staff are super kind with smiling face. They knew we are not native english speaker so they tried to speak slow and easy. Also place is so clean and each person will have own room to get teeth fix. I felt so comfortable being here and Im so glad to find this place!! Thank you so much for all of you.

We took our 17 year old son to Dr. Bowen at Canyon Dental to have his wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Bowen is an upstanding member of our community and has been a great influence on our children. Because of his great community work, we were very comfortable in trusting Dr. Bowen to take great care of our son in his dental office. His office is beautiful and he is very personable! He took great care of our son and the procedure went very well! Our son has recovered amazingly well and we are grateful to Dr. Bowen and his great dental skills! We have also had custom football mouth guards made at Dr. Bowen's office and they are spectacular mouth guards! The mouth guards are way more comfortable for the boys to wear! I would highly recommend Dr. Bowen and his amazing staff to everyone!

Good experiences with Canyon Dental: very up to date equipment, very friendly employees and great customer service. Thorough explanation of everything the dentist saw from my x-rays and treatment plan moving forward. Very thorough explanation of how insurance would help versus cost of treatment, which I really appreciated. Overall good experience! Not good experiences: First, I understand that people make mistakes, but when I called to set up the appointment, I asked the girl on the phone if my insurance was accepted there. She placed me on hold to find out for sure, and returned to tell me that, yes, it was accepted there. When I showed up for my appointment, I was told that actually my insurance wasn't accepted there. Luckily I have secondary dental insurance that they do take, so I was still able to have some insurance coverage for my appointment. Like I said, mistakes happen and miscommunication happens. This wasn't such a big deal for me in my experience with them, and is easy to forgive. I just was thrown off by the miscommunication about my insurance. Second, let me begin by stating that I am a radiologic technologist, which requires 4 years of college learning about X-rays, radiation, and the compound and biological effects of it all. Let me also state that I am 8 months pregnant. When the hygienist called me back for my panoramic computed tomography pictures, I asked her for a lead apron simply to protect my baby (if it were just for me, I wouldn't have cared, but I felt strongly about wearing lead for the protection of my unborn baby). She told me that they did not have any lead and that this particular exam emitted less radiation than what I would receive walking from from their office to the car. Looking at the computer screen and seeing the dosage used for the exam (the kVp and mAs that were set for the exam), that statement isn't quite true. I acknowledge that I did not want to argue about it with her about the radiation dosage, the compound exposure or the scatter radiation that were my biggest concerns with the exam and why I wanted the lead for my baby, and I still accepted the exam without the apron... that part is on me. I should have advocated for myself and my baby more. But I have never been to a place where X-rays are given that does not have a lead apron. Anyway, after the panoramic CT exam of my mouth without the lead apron, she took me back into an exam room for some standard X-rays of my teeth, and suddenly was able to find a lead apron. She gave me the lead apron for the standard X-rays, which I appreciated, however I would have much rather had the lead apron for the panoramic CT exam due to the higher radiation dose that comes from CT scan than from standard X-rays. I was disappointed in this, especially after she told me they didn't have any lead aprons. They were all so kind and thorough, but the lead apron should be available and given to any patient who wants it, and especially if that patient is pregnant. That is standard radiation safety. My issue was simply with the practice of radiation safety exhibited by this particular dental hygienist. I do not feel that she had my safety or my baby's safety from radiation in her best interest, but rather the convenience of just getting her job done. My only hope in writing this is that this review can help catalyze better radiation safety for future patients. UPDATE: Dr. Bowen called me the very next morning to address my concerns from this review, and he ensured me that he had talked with his staff about the importance of having lead shields readily available for patients with underlying medical conditions and/or when a patient asks for one. This was a great response to my concern, and I appreciate him reaching out to me personally and making sure changes happen. Very respectable and appreciated!

I've never had an experience at a dental office that was more than just "meh" but these guys are great! You can tell Dr. Bowen is committed to running a great practice and providing excellent care. I went for a cleaning recently and it was only my 3rd time there but the staff recognized me. Great service and attention to detail. Highly recommend!!

Canyon Dental is one of those rare businesses that have truly created an exceptional experience for it's patients. From start to finish, everyone that I interact with seems truly happy and excited to be there as well as being concerned about my overall experience. Dr. Kyle is amazing...super friendly, thorough, and really trys to get to know you and what is important to you. Have to give a shout out to Roxanne! She is so friendly and personable...she actually makes getting my teeth cleaned an enjoyable experience. I love how she tells me exactly what she's doing at every step in the process. As a business owner myself, I always pay attention to the customer experience I have at other businesses. Canyon Dental knocks it out of the park EVERY TIME!
