Canton-Plymouth Family Dentistry is a Canton based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more.
Dr. Hetal Patel earned her DDS from University of Illinois at Chicago college of Dentistry in year 2010. Dr. Patel is an active member of American Dental Association (ADA), Michigan Dental Association (ODA). Dr. Patel attends many dental conferences and she is always enthusiastic in learning about recent advances in dentistry. With her vast experience in the field of dentistry she understands the needs of the patients very well.
Dr. Patel lives in Canton, MI with her husband Sujal, who is a pharmacy manager in Ypsilanti and their two children Shiv(9 year) and Shravya (4 year). On the weekends much of her time is spent with her family. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and walking .
Dr Patel started her own practice within one year of her career. Over the past 15 years she has experienced every aspect of dentistry. Her practice has expanded to an ultra modern technically advanced facility with 6 operating rooms offering services in all fields of dentistry. Having spent her childhood and teenage in Ahmedabad, India and her adulthood in the United States, Dr. Patel offers the unique combination of down to earth common sense and knowledge acquired from a distinguished education.

She provides dental services with the aim of extending the life of your natural teeth to provide you with confidence that a beautiful smile can instill. Born in Canada, moved to MI and lived in Ann Arbor until moving to Denver, CO where attended middle school and high school. Was accepted into the University of the Pacific accelerated 6 year dental program and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in biological sciences from University of the Pacific undergraduate campus, and then graduated as a member of Tau Kappa Omega Honors Society with Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from UOP Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. Currently a MaxilloFacial Surgery Resident at the Detroit Medical Center. Interests include Mixed Martial Arts, which began at age 12 and won state championship in Colorado, as well as composing and performing music for classical and flamenco guitar. Also a wildlife enthusiast and lived in South Africa for half a year working at the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve raising young wild cats including cheetahs, lions, and tigers. Previous research projects have included Pathological and Non-pathological Alterations In Cranial Shape and Relation to Impaired Cognitive Function as well as Resorbable vs. Titanium plates for Orthognathic Surgery.
She has been a dental hygienist for 17 years and 25 years in the dental profession. At the age of 15 Jennifer started working here at Canton- Plymouth alongside her mom. She is the daughter of Silvia Roman (Dental assistant). Jennifer attended Ferris State University in 1998 and graduated in 2002. Jennifer is married and has two girls. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys gardening.
I have been in the dental Fidel for 32 years, I love my job And I enjoy working with people. I love going to church and I sign in the choir. I went to Livonia career center for dental assistant program.
I have worked in the dental field for 8yrs - I am married with 2 grown children - I have been working in the customer service industry for over 35 years. I am very happy to work with a great combination of new employees, great ownership, along with the staff that has been here for over 30yrs! In my free time, I love to read , shop, put together puzzles, spending time with friends and family, oh and bonfires, because Fall is my favorite time of the year.

I had an appointment and was running late,I. I called to let them know and they were so gracious to still accommodate me without hesitations and received me with smiling faces.The receptionist Kim,was so sweet and Tiffany the hygienist was so gentle.Dr.Patel you have a great team and I won't hesitate to recommend your office for dental work

I've never wrote a review on a place prior to "working" anywhere. The level of unprofessionalism astounded me. Within the fist two hours of working there, I was pulled into the office by the doctor and had her talking to me very rudely because I was " wasting" her cleaning supplies because I put on gloves to get the tools ready for a routine filling and wiping something down that fell on the floor. She stated it's clean and fine unless it's entered someone's mouth. The she proceeded to scold me for not having a treatment plan ready for said patient because my first hour there I was filling out new hire paperwork for myself instead of patient prepping ( which should have been done at minimum the day prior to the patients appointment but somehow was my fault when I was not even legally an employee there yet)When I told her that my new hire paperwork needs to be done prior to me working, she then told me my unprofessionalism was unwanted and kicked me out of her office. I see a lot of people write reviews on loving her as a doctor but cannot agree due to the health and safety violations I witnessed in my short hours there.

The dentist has no knowledge it's all about money to her. She did not communicate much about my treatment. Initially my treatment was for one tooth and I got an wait and they change the treatment for another tooth. They said they would call me with the amount of how much my insurance will cover and never did. Come to my appointment after 4 weeks they want me to pay half of almost $700 upfront without verifying with insurance exactly how much it would cost an have just an estimate. Then told me maybe I should call the insurance to verify so I would now how hard it is. Btw tb is is the dentist telling me all this. Please don't waste ur time and go somewhere else.

The office staff is simply amazing. I had a great experience with compassion and care. My husband had a recent stoke and his teeth had issues. They took a great deal of time and followed up with compassion. I want to thank Dr Patel & staff for best dental care we ever received.

The best place to have ur cleaning and any other problems that you have. The hygienist, doctors and receptionist are all wonderful and will go out of their way to make sure you get the best experience. I recommend this place and it's my second time visiting.

It starts with thee receptionist who has been so pleasant for at least 20 years and hygienist is as good as Lumi. Dr Patel is very steady and knowledgeable I'm still here after all these years!
