Dr. Troy Davidson was born and raised in Orem, Utah. After graduation from high school, he studied at Brigham Young University (BYU), served a two-year church mission to the people of Paraguay (becoming fluent in Spanish along the way), and returned to graduate from BYU with a Merit Scholarship to study dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

After graduating, and receiving his DDS from UCLA, Dr. Davidson chose to further his education attending the General Practice Residency at the University of Virginia (where he served as the chief resident) and, soon afterward, decided to specialize in the field of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Davidson sought and was awarded the highly coveted single resident position in the Pediatric Dental Program at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. During this training, he simultaneously completed a multidisciplinary post-doctoral fellowship in neurodevelopmental disabilities. Shortly after completing his formal training, Dr. Davidson was awarded Diplomate status by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the highest distinction in this specialty.

Dr. Davidson, combines extensive training and experience with a compassionate, fun, and professional approach. He takes great satisfaction in helping children have a positive, healthy dental experience, founded in a relationship of trust. As the father of four young children, Dr. Davidson relates to parents and their desire that their children receive the best possible dental care.

Dr. Michael Crosby was born - the second of eight children - in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mike got to know the family orthodontist well, as seemingly each of his siblings - including himself - went through the office for orthodontics.

After a rich and varied undergraduate experience that included academic work at the University of Utah, a five-month study abroad in Israel at the BYU Jerusalem Center, and a two year church mission serving the people of Brazil, Mike began his graduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He excelled both academically and clinically during Dental School and earned several awards and recognitions. One important recognition involved Mike's selection as mentor and guide to other dental students in their educational progress.

Dr. Crosby graduated dental school cum laude in 2005 and entered the University of Nebraska Medical Center for his orthodontic residency. He is one of the few students to complete his orthodontic training in conjunction with a Master of Science Degree. His thesis involving the use of computer models to better understand the physics and pathology of TMJ was recognized with the Charles Schultz Resident Scholar award, and Dr. Crosby has coauthored many papers based on the findings of this research.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys time with his family and playing sports. He is the undisputed ping-pong champion of his family, extended family, former classmates, and current coworkers. He recently purchased a table for his office at Johns Creek, and is up for a game anytime if you'd like to drop by and challenge him.

Dr Joseph Peluso graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a DMD and moved to the Atlanta area for practice. He has been involved in practice growth and development for nearly a quarter century and is happy to have joined Dental Town in the Forsyth/Collections location.

In practice, Dr Peluso enjoys enhancing and improving smiles to create confidence in each person. Using many approaches, he works hard to collaborate with each patient to set individual goals based on their own expectations. Never in a hurry, Dr Peluso seeks to make each experience an enjoyable one his patients want to share with others.

Dr Peluso grew up in Columbus, Georgia where he excelled in high school academic and music programs, top-ranking in the State playing French Horn. He also played the trumpet, the mellophone in marching band and tenor sax in jazz band. This love for music translates to continued enjoyment of live music in many forms and a resurgent interest in vinyl records, rebuilding a long-forgotten collection.

Choosing to stay in his hometown and attend Columbus College, Dr Peluso graduated with a major in business and spent several years working with microcomputers when it was a new technology. He was fortunate to have traveled and developed computer applications in several new areas of business and research, including office automation, production and design, robotics, chemical assays and imaging analysis. Travel to such institutions as NASA in Huntsville AL, Yerkes Primate Labs and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Oak Ridge National Labs in Tennessee, RTP in North Carolina and MOTE Marine Labs in Tampa all laid a foundation in the practical sciences and awakened a deeper interest in working in science and healthcare.

Dr Peluso returned to school and completed a Minor in Chemistry and then attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia. He was fortunate to have served in several leadership roles throughout his time at MCG. A standout experience was working in dental implant research to determine integration characteristics of materials and coatings. This experience created an interest and enjoyment of working with dental implants as a strategy for replacing missing teeth.

Over the years, Dr Peluso has maintained a focus on giving back to the local community and in international outreach through foreign medical missions. Travel to the jungle environment of Ecuador kindled his compassion to provide care to those in acute need. His engagement locally with the Bald Ridge Lodge and Jesses House allows him to support kids in acute need. Past engagement with the Nicholas House in Atlanta allowed him to help families who fell on hard times navigate their dental care, knowing this is one of the first things to take a backseat to more immediate needs such as food and shelter for the family. Dr Peluso also sits on the Executive Board for the LRJ Foundation, which designs and administers educational programs as outreach to school-aged kids on mental health awareness and self-regulation.

As the grandson and son of Italian restauranteurs, Dr Peluso also enjoys cooking specialty meals and finding new foodie spots around town and while traveling. He will often engage many conversations around meals, cultural travel and share recipes and new spots. Favorite travel cities for foodie trips include Atlanta, New York, Chicago and almost anything coastal. Feel free to message him anytime for his latest find.

Upon graduating from highschool in 1976, he traveled one state north and attended University of Georgia where he was an honors graduate with a major in Chemistry. While at UGA, he was a member of the universitys wrestling team and was very active as a Big Brother, mentoring young, underprivileged boys.

Dr. Smith helped Dr. Williams and his office achieve 8 straight Best of Gwinnett Awards, and was named to Gwinnett Magazine's People To Know.

Based on this wealth of experience and expertise, Dr. Smith is able to offer every aspect of modern dentistry, whether the need is veneers, Invisalign, implant restoration, laser dentistry, extraction, or root canal therapy. Outside of the office, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, a physician assistant in a family practice, and his children, Addison, Parker, and Isabella. His hobbies include weightlifting, running, and playing soccer on an amateur team in the Atlanta area. Dr. Smith is a huge sports fan and supporter of all of Atlanta's professional teams. His true love is anything associated with his beloved Louisville Cardinals.

Dr. Ray believes that a healthy, attractive smile achieved through dentistry and orthodontics can improve the lives of his patients. He continues to challenge himself and stay on the cutting edge of technology by attending various trainings, seminars, and being involved in many organizations. His passion for both dentistry and orthodontics shows in his dedication and love of his work.

Dr. Beeson grew up in Sammamish Washington just east of Seattle. Growing up in Washington helped him gain a love for the outdoors and all the activities the area had to offer. Skiing, trail running, hiking and biking occupied much of his time growing up.

After high school Dr. Beeson served a 2 year mission for his Church in Peru, where he gained a love for the people and a true appreciation for what he had been given. Following his mission he continued his education at BYU-Idaho where he met his amazing wife Melody. When she was accepted into a dental hygiene program in Utah, he transferred to the Provo Utah campus of BYU, where he earned a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Beeson is the proud father of 3, his oldest was just a baby while he attended Dental School at Marquette University School of Dentistry. As a student at Marquette he had many opportunities to volunteer and provide dental treatment and oral health education to residents of Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. Upon completion of graduation requirements Dr. Beeson completed an externship to expand his skills as a general dentist.

Dr. Beeson believes in a conservative approach to dentistry and strives to treat each of his patients as he would his own family. He is happy to offer a free second opinion and answer any questions you may have regarding your oral health.

Dr. Hansen grew up in Rialto, California, a small town right outside of San Bernardino. The son of an orthodontist, as soon as Dr. Hansen was old enough his father had him working in the office making all sorts of orthodontic appliances. He continued running an orthodontic lab through college to help pay the bills. Along the way, he also served a two-year mission to Sydney, Australia, before returning home to graduate from Brigham Young University in 1997 with a BS in Zoology. It was also during this time that Dr. Hansen met his future wife, Tiffany.

Dr. Hansen furthered his education attended dental school at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Army Health Professionals Scholarship, and had the opportunity to attend the advanced training of general dentists program in Landstuhl Germany. During his time in Germany, he was called into active duty in the Army and made Captain of the 561st Brigade. He received his certificate in advanced trauma life support, and Medical Management of the Chemical Casualty. These two trainings were required of all personnel called into duty for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Hansen served the country as a Combat Dentist for 7 months in 2003, part of the jump platoon to provide forward support for the troops. He provided dentistry from a mobile dental clinic in Dogwood (south of Baghdad), Baghdad International Airport, Balad, and Mosul. Due to his exemplary service, Dr. Hansen was awarded the Silver Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the Army Meritorious Unit Citation Ribbon.

Upon returning home from Iraq, Dr. Hansen decided he wanted to return to school and specialize in pediatric dentistry. He did so by attending the Medical University of South Carolina, located in Charleston. His intensive training included several areas of focus: Hospital treatment, Sedation, Care for Special Needs Patients, Growth and Development, Orthodontics, and Preventative and Conservative Treatments and Alternatives. He completed his advanced training and received his certificate in 2006.

Dr. Hansen was one of the first pediatric offices in the Atlanta area to allow parents back into the treatment rooms with their children. He felt this allowed greater patient comfort and the ability to discuss treatment options and outcomes for his patients more intimately. He has strived to be at the forefront of new research and ideas in making dentistry easier and more comfortable for his patients. This career-long professional focus has culminated in Dental Townan 'outside the box' dental office, where Dr. Hansen strives to provide an atmosphere in which patients and parents can relaxno white walls or white coat syndrome. He designed an office to look like a town, so that he could have different facades and boutiques for each treatment room. More than anything, he really just wanted a place to keep his giant lizards and turtles!

Outside of work, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids. Each child was born in a different city (Cleveland, Birkenfeld, Charleston, Atlanta). He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and gardening. He spends much of his time caring for and maintaining his reptiles. He also spends much of his time lecturing and doing other community outreach to thousands of students from local schools each year about the importance of good oral hygiene. He is currently serving as pastor to a local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

While there, Dr. Taylor married his beautiful wife, Kelsey and gained an amazing stepson, Joel. He and his wife had their first child, Noah, together during his third year of dental school.

He implemented this approach while working in the clinics throughout dental school. Canton Dental Town is by far the BEST dental office in Cherokee County! My two children have been going here for over two years, and we absolutely love Dr. Shawn and the entire staff! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shawn, my kids actually love going to the dentist because of him, and we are SO thankful for him and the entire staff! My 5 year old son needed to get some work done and the entire process of the procedure was just amazing. Dr. Shawn and his assistant made sure that my son was comfortable the entire time, they talked him through the entire process, let him know what they were going to do before they did it, and continuously praised him for how well he was doing. Not to mention they work so fast and work SO well together as a team! I sat there in amazement at how in sync Dr. Shawn and his assistant were during the procedure, hands down the best experience ever!! I will never take my kids anywhere else! We are SO thankful for Dr. Shawn and the entire staff at Canton Dental Town!

I love coming to this dental office because I feel like Dr. Stephens is a really honest and thorough dentist. I feel like he takes his time and looks through previous notes and in the mouth carefully. He also did a filling for me and I had no sensitivity with it afterwards, even though it was a bigger filling. It's hard to find a good dentist but I feel like I can trust him. I used to be a dental assistant so I feel like I can be picky. I was glad to find him. I also really enjoyed talking with the hygienist, Melissa. She did a great job and made me feel right at home.

Stacey and Dr. Marable are absolutely PHENOMENAL! My son had to have 2 baby teeth pulled today that refused to come out and were causing him a lot of discomfort. I was very nervous and anxious as this was the first time either of my kids would have to have nitrous oxide and a lidocaine shot. They were both so awesome with my son! Made the whole process so relaxing. We've been to a few dentists and this group is by far our favorite! Everyone is so nice from the front desk ladies to all the clinical staff! We appreciate you all so much!

Everyone was super friendly and made me feel so comfortable and made the experience easy and seamless! So much so I already scheduled my next cleaning while I was there!

They are great! love the doctors, hygienists, & assistants- all the staff is great. My kids always have really great experiences here! They are conservative in their treatment plans, whereas we have been to many dentists in the past who wanted to do a lot more work on my kids teeth unnecessarily. We love it here!

Dr. McMoran and his dents hygienist were absolutely amazing, they not only did they constantly check on my son to make sure he was feeling okay and safe but they also checked on me to make sure I was feeling okay about everything. They also explained each and every little detail to my son so he would know exactly what to expect. They are seriously amazing!

We had two not so great experiences here. If your child has anxiety, is worried about going to the dentist, or has special needs (or if you like to have a dentist who will actually talk to you about your child's situation), you should request someone other than Dr. McMoran. He is very much on a schedule and not willing to slow down to meet kids where they are. My son ended up needing emergency dental work, and they were not able to complete the work in office. When they attempted the procedure, he didn't bother to talk to me before starting and literally had his hands in my child's mouth when he asked me if I wanted to reconsider the procedure. Since I wanted to make sure my kid didn't have a traumatic experience, I went with his recommendation (glad I did - it turned out better anyway). But he hadn't looked at his chart, so he didn't realize that he wouldn't qualify for the procedure he was recommending as a replacement. It turned into a mess with me in the phone for hours searching for anywhere to help us. I also didn't even receive basic instructions on how to recognize whether or not his infection was spreading until I pressed for more info. My son ended up having the same procedure he originally went in for with a dentist who was better able to work with him. Honestly, we didn't have another option because he was going to have to wait until next year to receive treatment otherwise. When I look at all these five star reviews, I really wonder how they could possibly be true. I'm guessing most of these people never had a complicated situation. I should have listened to my gut after we first had an exam that did not go well.

Super friendly, caring, professional team from reception all the way to the Dr. Every time I come in they ask about me, my family and remember things I have forgotten. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my dental care. They do everything possible to always make sure i am comfortable!! Best part is it is accessible and SUPER kid friendly, even for the big kid in me!!
