Candlewood Dental Care is committed to helping the community. We support Healing the Children Northeast and have done dental missions in Morocco and Jamaica. We also donate our time to the Mission of Mercy in Connecticut, participated in the New Fairfield Run, and sponsor our local sports teams

Ive been a Dental Assistant and Practice Manager with Dr. Burio since 1990! I enjoy being able to help even the most anxious patients feel comfortable enough to complete the dentistry needed, within their financial means, for a healthy mouth and body.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and finding great new spots to explore with our RV. My family, especially our granddaughter, is the core of my happiness and time spent with them is what brings me the most joy.

Ive been a Dental Hygienist for more than 25 years. I graduated from the University of Bridgeport, Fones School of Dental Hygiene. I especially enjoy putting patients at ease with a positive dental experience. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughters, boating, fishing, kayaking, cooking, and reading.

I graduated from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport, with BSDH. My prior experience in my fathers dental office readied me to be a great dental hygienist. I have a passion for the dental field and look forward to getting to know each patient. I enjoy helping others and take pride in my work. In my free time, I enjoy crafts of all kinds, spending time with my family, friends, and my cat!

I joined the team at Candlewood Dental Care as a Hygienist in 2021. I graduated from the Tunxis Community College Dental Hygiene program. I love making my patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and helping them obtain a happy and healthy smile! Outside of work, I love traveling, snow skiing, and hiking with my husband and our Australian Shepard, Bobo.

I am a Dental Assistant here at Candlewood Dental Care. I have been working with Dr. Burio since 2020! I really love working with each patient, doing my best to provide them with the best dental care I can. In my time away from the office, I enjoy participating in my volunteer ministry work!

Ive been in the dental field since 2001, from dental assisting, to reception, and billing. I enjoy every aspect of working with dentistry, most of all, the satisfaction of seeing the patients smile at the end of their visits. In my free time I enjoy photography, hiking with my family and my dog Lolo, a great book, and the arts.

Dr. Lorraine Burio was raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dentistry. Dr. Burio completed a rigorous general practice residency at the London Hospital in London, England. She has been in her practice in New Fairfield since 1988, Connecticut for over 25 years, and is an active member of the community.

In her free time, you can find Dr. Burio on Candlewood Lake barefoot water skiing, figure skating, or hiking with her dogs. She has competed in multiple competitions and won the Senior World Barefoot Championship in 1999. Dr. Burio to being married since 1990 and loves spending time with her husband, Newfoundland, and German Shepard. She also donates her time to Healing the Children Northeast where she has participated in several dental missions in underprivileged countries.

Dr. Burio is an active member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Oral Systemic Health and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She has completed advanced studies in sleep apnea, laser dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.

Our goal is to provide exceptional, comprehensive dental care to our patients in a friendly and caring environment, educating and encouraging them toward a state of not just optimal oral health, but over all systemic health.

On Saturday, Candlewood Dental Careparticipated in the 7th annual Candlewood Lake Dragonboat race. They participated as the Candlewood Cavity Crusaders!It was Candlewoods2nd year in the competition and theyoverturned the teamthat held 1st place for the past 6 years by coming in 1st place! TheCandlewood Staff and Dentistsare veryproud of theirteam. They all worked very hard, as it was not easy!
