Really one of the best dental/oral hygiene experiences i've ever had. Non-judgmental, open, clear, gentle, knowledgeable...and their first order of business was making me feel comfortable. They answered all questions I had. I cannot recommend them enough.

Very unethical practices and pushy dental techs. Staff is trained to aggressively push extra services. They told me I needed a CROWN and told me what my insurance would pay, only to later say it was denied and then had enough nerve to tell me it was my responsibility to fight my insurance while they seriously tried to push ANOTHER CROWN on me while this one was being challenged. Multiple calls to speak to the office manager and owner Todd and no call back, now I am fighting collections. Even went to another dentist and got a second opinion on the second crown and they told me absolutely not needed! They said they get alot of complaints about Canatella Dental and a fair share of new patients from them. Trust me, find another dentist!

The staff here are warm, intelligent, and excited to participate in your dental care. The wait times are short. The staff provides incredible Amenities and technical resources that I have never received anywhere else. 10/10 recommend!

Staff was very warm and welcoming. My hygienist(Holland) was very educational, accommodating, and provided a great experience. Dr. Canatella was also as welcoming as his staff and provided a great service.

Dental care and Amanda the hygienist were great, but due to insurance and financial reasons we had to pull out of a future procedure. It was difficult working with the office staff + manager to get our down payment + records back.

I got the opportunity to visit the Lakeview location this week. From first impression the environment was very welcoming by the lovely lady. .Ms.Dana. The office appeared to be tidy. The lobby area had personal family photos. .which I adored and thought was a nice touch to the environment. Unfortunately, a 3 star rating was given because I didn't proceed with any oral services. This rating is just off initial interactions. The options I was given for my treatment plan did not meet my full expectations.Cosmetic was the reason for my visit. I was open to receiving oral health services as well . . until I was basically told the cosmetics wasn't a option because of my oral health. I personally rather get all my needs and wants met by the same provider. To leave on a positive note Ms.Dana spent time with me educating me about teeth. The conversation was very encouraging which was much needed while on this journey. UPDATE: I've gotten cosmetics done already and almost done with my treatment plan with another provider. In the future I think sharing someones dental condition is downgrading their dignity. If you noticed I reframed from sharing details of my oral health. Anywho, I was basically told cosmetic was not an option at all when I was there. Not sure why it would be an option now.

Late Wednesday night one of my fillings broke apart. I called Canatella Dental first thing Thursday morning and they were able to fit me in. The entire staff were welcoming, friendly, and informative. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in. They clearly explained the issue, how they were going to handle it, and how to move forward with the process. Very happy to find such a wonderful dental office in New Orleans!

I love Dr. Canatella and his staff members; everybody in the office is so attentive and friendly. They clearly explained everything to me in regards to what I need to do for my dental health and hygiene, so I left my visit feeling informed rather than confused. I'm very glad I found their office!

This is the best dental establishment I have ever been to. I am extremely afraid of needles and they are so nice and understanding through my panic attacks and crying through sessions lol. They are very accommodating. I wish I could keep them as my dentists.

Office is super clean, everyone is very friendly, and the dentist explained what they were doing, showed me pictures of my tooth cavity, and broke down the costs and everything. Worked with my insurance to get that figured out too, I didn't have to do any of it! They do not have a contract with any specific insurance, just call and see if yours works.

I feel like due to the lack of communication from staff I had an overall negative experience. They did not notify me that even to make an appointment they require a $50 deposit- which they told me after my appointment. Apparently when I discussed what insurance I had ahead of time it was not sufficient to help me plan my care. They wait until after the appointment to tell me I would owe more because I am out of network- that could have been told to me at the time of the appointment I made. I never pay more than $30 at a typical dentist with my insurance and I may owe a lot more than I intended on paying today(I already pay for dental insurance). The dental hygienist I worked with was also a little "cold" in her demeanor. I would not recommend this place. I am going back to my previous dentist after my bad experience.

I called at 9am with terrible tooth pain. They fit me in at 9:45 that morning! They were so nice and welcoming!
