I have been in the dental field for over 25 years and have been working with children for my entire career. My goal is to build a positive relationship with each child, while encouraging good brushing habits and educating them about healthy nutritional choices. Not only do I enjoy giving kids sparkling smiles each time they come to our office but also I enjoy watching them grow and mature throughout the years. My daily duties include cleaning teeth, applying fluoride, placing sealants, taking radiographs, taking intraoral photos, and educating parents and children about their oral health.

My husband Ron and I have a large, blended family that includes eight children and several grandchildren. In my free time I love to attend my grandchildren's activities, traveling, remodeling my home, and playing with my pug.

I originally graduated from LeMoyne College with a BA in business, but I decided that my true passion was in dentistry. I graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at MCC in May 2018 and have been working with Canandaigua Pediatric Dental ever since. I have always known that my true passion was working with children. I believe it is important to give children the best experience possible while helping them develop good habits that they will carry into adulthood. I enjoy creating relationships with my patients and their families and watching them grow throughout the years.

I have been doing dental hygiene for over 30 years and have always enjoyed working with kids of all ages. We have a wonderful, family-oriented practice and our team members are attentive and respectful of each patients needs. Each person, and their family, is important to me, and I love helping them create healthy smiles! To do this, I clean my patients teeth, take x-rays and photos, and teach each person and their family about oral health.

Besides dental hygiene, I enjoy teaching third to fifth grade kids at my church, and I teach at a camp for adults with special needs. I love spending time with my family, including my husband and three grown kids. At home, I spend time cooking and baking, working in my yard, and playing with my cat.

My job involves keeping patients calm and comfortable, while assisting the dentist withprocedures.On a day to day basis, you can find me accompanying the children to their chairs, passing instrumentsto the dentist, organizing and sprucing up the office.Iworkhard to create a fun and exciting dental home for our patients; you can often find me joking with the kids or telling them stories.

My husband, Tony, and I have threechildren - Arianna, Logan, and Kennedy. I love animals, so we have many pets including two huskies (Elsa, and Sky), a Golden-Doodle(Phoebe), and a cat (Mr. Peppersworth). In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, baking (and eating everything that I bake), doing crafts, and watching movies.

I used to be a patient here myself, so I truly appreciate how important having a good experience atthe dentist is fora child.I really loved coming here and discovered that I wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. I have plans to go to school for dental hygiene in the near future. I love doing crafty things and hanging out with my kitty Mabelline,a Blue Point Himalayan.

As the daughter of a dentist, I have grown up in a dental office. I first assisted my dad with an emergency patient when I was seven years old. Now many years later, I have worked in nearly all aspects of dental and I love it. I am here to helpour patients families navigate the difficult and unruly world of insurances and treatment plans. This practice is truly a unique place, with an amazing staff, easily one of my all-time favorite practices to work in.

Originally from Phelps, Brinn is the newest member of our team. She has many years of experience in customer service. She loves hearing all the kid's stories and is the first friendly face you will see upon entering our office.

Dr. Virginia Yanez is a board certified pediatric dentist who was born and raised in Spain where she earned her dental degree. Her interest in the American culture and academics led her to moving to the United States in 2013 when she was accepted to complete a three year program (combination of a one year Community Dentistry fellowship and two years in the Advance Education in General Dentistry program)at Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) in Rochester, NY. She continued her education receiving her Pediatric Dentistry specialty certificate at EIOH.

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to childrens needs, and it is our goal to make your son or daughterfeel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

During your little ones first visit, we want to get to know all about them. We will review your child's medical and dental history, ask you questions about their daily habits, and take images of their mouth and teeth, if needed. If your child is here for a dental cleaning, one of our hygienists will clean and polish his or herteeth, and inspectfor cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis.Then one of our pediatric dentistswill meet with you and your child to discuss any x-rays, and help create an individual treatment plan, while answering any questionsyou may have.

First dental visits are mostly educational. The AAPD recommends that every child visit the dentist by the child's first birthday. The American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend a child visit the dentist by age one as well. This well baby check for the teeth can establish a dental home and helps ensure that parents learn the tools they'll need to help their children remain cavity-free

Maintaining a regular schedule with the dentist means your child is more likely to have a healthy smile. Prevention means your child will be able to eat comfortably, get the sleep they need, avoid missing school, and avoid costly dental treatment.
