I have been practicing dentistry since 1997. You can find a list of accomplishments and credentials below, but Id really prefer that you get to know me as a person first. Life has been quite a journey, and I love where I am in life. I grew up in Willow Glen, California, but now reside in Saratoga with my husband and two young children. My goal in life is to maintain a healthy balance between my career and personal life.
With regard to my career, I love being a dentist; it is my passion. My patients are like family and I want them to have a comfortable dental experience with excellent results. I make it a top priority to provide my patients with the latest procedures and treatments; I believe in beautiful healthy smiles.
As it pertains to my personal life, I strive to be the best partner to my husband, best mom to my children and best daughter to my parents. Like many of us, I try to do it all, but there are moments when I wonder why Yet on those days when my patients are happy with their anterior veneers, or when I relieve a patient from miserable pain, or when my son comes up to me and proudly hands me a wilted dandelion, then I know its all worth it!
As for my credentials, I graduated from Willow Glen High in 1988 (seems so long ago). I have a B.S. in physiology from UC Davis, 1997 and a B.S. in dental materials from UC San Francisco, 1997. I also hold a Doctorate Degree in Dental Science from UC San Francisco, 1997.
Girlie Aragon Office Manager Girlies career in dentistry started over 20 years ago and she was lucky enough to find her way to our office (but really, we are the lucky ones). For over 10 years, Girlie has supported the office in many ways, including being a new patient concierge and a treatment and patient care specialist. She specializes in dental insurance and patient care financing. Girlie loves providing exceptional customer service for our patients and working with our dentist and team. When shes not at the office, Girlie loves hiking, traveling, and going on road trips with family and friends.
Stacie Suong Tran Register Dental Assistant, RDD Stacie has been in the dental field for over 20 years and she loves being a part of our team. She is X-ray and coronal polishing certified. Stacie is on top of everything and helps make the practice run smoother. She is an essential asset to our team. Stacie loves getting to know our dental family and giving them all the knowledge they need to take care of their smiles. Stacie has three beautiful children. In her spare time, Stacie loves swimming and hiking.
Jasmine Alethea Balcazar Dental Assistant Jasmine graduated from high school in 2012 and attended Job Corps to receive training for dental assisting. She plans on receiving further schooling in the future. Jasmine is the newest member of our team. She loves the environment in our office and looks forward to learning a lot from our skilled team and dentist. Jasmine loves how particular Dr. Catalina Phan is with her work and interactions with our patients. Jasmine has a big family that is expanding in Fresno. When not in the office, Jasmine enjoys the outdoors hiking, swimming, and just being in the sun.

Dr. Phan is great with someone who has physical anxiety when it comes to dental work. I had a horrible experience as a small child at the dentist and now at 54 I still have those anxieties. She understands and is here to help you. Her staff is great with billing which is always a super plus in my book too. Very happy to have found her dental practice.

Like many people, I get extremely anxious about visiting the dentist. However every time I see Dr. Phan always makes me feel comfortable. Her staff is also great!

Start with the good: Dr. Phan was the best dentist to explain how to take care of my teeth. The bad: I was signifiatly over charged and lied to about co-pays. I know this because Dr. Phan asked me to research the prodedures and Dr. Phan was significantly overcharging compared to the rest of the dental industry. I went in for a simple cleaning and was told there was no co-pay, but later I was charged $180 after insurance. I called to see if Dr. Phan's office would correct the situation and argued and then ignored me. That is why I had to give a 1 star review even if Dr. Phan is good is some aspects.

The best place! The entire staff is just so patient and kind. They are focused, driven, and only want the best. They even taught me how to properly floss (yeah I have been doing it wrong my whole life..) total game changer. Haha Dr. Phan is so personable, knowledgeable, and understanding. This has been my best dental experience, I only wish I found it sooner.

Wow, from the moment of my first call I was treated with such warmth and care. The front desk was SO helpful and quickly got me scheduled and answered any questions I had. When I showed up for my appointment I was greeted immediately with a smile and checked in and my husband and I both looked at each other like wow this place is so nice. Then I met a gentleman who did my X-rays, and he was my absolute favorite. He was warm, calming and thorough, He continued to ask if I was comfortable and it just felt good and put me at ease. Then I met Catalina who was just absolutely the most charming person, you could tell she loved what she did, she was beaming with happiness and care for her patients. I was prepared to never leave them but for pricing wise I had to go somewhere else that was in-network for my insurance. I'm super bummed because you immediately feel like family when you walk in here! They will be missed and Catalina actually sparked an interest in me to look into dental hygienist as a career choice and I'm sold! I want to do whatever they are doing because they are a team of happiness! Thank you all for the kindness you showed me. -Ashley

I love Dr Phan! We started going to her office right when we had our first son, and four children later, we are still with her. We would not trust my family's dental care to anyone else. She is detail-oriented and professional, and she always puts us at ease with all procedures. Her office is constantly updated with advanced instruments and equipments, and her staff are always friendly and pleasant.

This place is hands down the best dental care I have ever received. Everyone here is always very nice, courteous, and professional. Personally, I believe this is about as good as it gets for dental care and always recommend Dr. Phan whenever asked. She is great and if you are looking for a new dentist I definitely think you would be making a safe bet coming here.

Quality service with professionalism I been looking for a new Dentist, and I had a tooth that was bothering me and it needed immediate care. So I was pleasantly surprised that the same day I called within a couple hours they scheduled me in to be seen!! I had such a great experience for my first visit there. The place was clean and bright. All who was working there were friendly and helpful. And I was impressed with how knowledgeable Dr. Phan was about my specific issue with my teeth. She has this personality that makes you feel comfortable and at ease. We began chatting as if we had already known each other for quite sometime. I like how she explains everything before she begins any work on your teeth. She also gives her patients the opportunity to choose the best dental plan but also providing her professional opinion. I have been a patient of Dr. Phan for at least 20 years! So has been my husband. She has been my kid's dentist too since they were little. I can't highlight enough what a great dentist she is. Always very attentive, and taking good care of our oral health. She is not only a great dentist but also a great communicator explaining everything that is going on. She is specially good with handling high anxiety patients and putting them at ease. I would totally recommend her for anyone that is looking for a great family dentist. I would keep adding stars but they only allow 5.

I'm extremely pleased with my visit to Dr. Phan's office. I found her on a google search and feeling so blessed to make the right choice. I don't like to go to dentists, but my experience at Dr. Phan's office changed everything. On the first visit, Dr. Phan took the x-ray, studied my case, and spent extra time explained to me all the treatment plans with the cost and how long it would take. She offered me the best solutions with low cost which I really appreciated. Dr. Phan is a very professional, polite and compassionate person. During the cleaning process and filling, she was very tentative and caring, she kept checking with me if I were doing okay. She always makes sure I understand how to keep my teeth and gums in good health and genuinely cares about me and my wellness. The staff are friendly and informative as well. They helped me in and out and provided the estimate confirmed with my insurance prior the next visit. My experience here has been super pleasant and I highly highly recommend Dr. Phan.
