Originally from Florida, Dr. Rae is one of 4 children. From the young age of 8, Dr. Rae knew she wanted to be a kids dentist after spending time with her Dad in his dental practice. In her senior high-school yearbook she listed Childrens Dentist as her desired profession. She is thrilled to be living her dream and helping kids enjoy the dental experience rather than fear it. She fell in love with outdoor adventures when she and her three siblings were introduced to camping at a young age. Subsequent summers were spent hiking, backpacking, canoeing, sailing, camping, and visiting National Parks. Her passion for childrens dentistry and love of the outdoors is the inspiration for Camp Little Tooth. Her desire is to inspire kids to not only understand and appreciate the importance of good oral health but to have an appreciation for an active lifestyle, love of nature, a healthy diet, and most importantly to have a spirit of adventure! She believes that the dental office does not have to be an intimidating sterile experience but one of warmth where laughter is the prescribed medicine. You might just see her making balloon art such as monkeys, flowers, and hats to delight your little one balloon swords and princess wands are a top request!

Dr. Rae is excited to be a resident of the great state of Colorado and is enjoying all the outdoor adventures that it has to offer. Along with her husband Jeff, and Montana, their lovable Goldendoodle, they enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, hiking, kayaking, camping, and backpacking. Q: How long have therapy dogs been used in dental offices and is it safe? A: Yes! Animals have long been used in health care facilities to provide comfort, ease anxiety and are even known to help lower blood pressure by just petting them. Montana is always groomed and clean when he comes to visit and is not allowed in the treatment areas. Check out the following articles in the Pediatric Dentistry Journal, by the American Dental Association and Dentistry Today about the use of therapy dogs in pediatric dental offices: http://www.pediatricdentistrytoday.org/2016/July/LI/4/news/article/599/ http://www.dentistrytoday.com/news/todays-dental-news/item/1483-therapy-dog-joins-the-staff-at-pediatric-dental-practice.

After receiving her bachelors degree, Dr. Berger began medical school at Washington University in Saint Louis. During that time, she developed a keen interest in the field of anesthesiology. She loved that anesthesia combined a unique one-on-one relationship with patients and required detailed knowledge of human physiology. During medical school, Dr. Berger was at the top of her class and received the most prestigious honor that a medical student can receive, acceptance into the honors medical program called AOA. Following medical school, Dr. Berger completed her four-year anesthesiology residency at the University of Colorado where she and her husband enjoyed being close to family and the mountains. During residency, she again was at the top of her class and received the Outstanding Resident of the Year Award during her final year of residency. Even though she had received 12 years of school/training post-high school, Dr. Berger decided to complete yet another year of anesthesia training at the Childrens Hospital of Colorado to become a fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologist. During this training, she took care of well over 500 patients and cared for very sick children. This training included anesthetizing patients for open-heart surgeries, craniotomies, and liver transplants. She also took care of many healthy as well as sick patients having dental procedures. Her fellowship also had pediatric ICU rotations, and she was the airway specialist in the ICU during that time. After completing her fellowship, Dr. Berger has worked as chair of the pediatric department of anesthesiology for Kaiser for over 5 years and has been a 5280 Top Doc nominee multiple times. Dr. Berger is among the most trained and highly qualified physicians in our country to care for a child while under anesthesia for a dental procedure. She is the mother of three young-children and treats every patient as her own child. As a mother, she can relate to the youngest of patients and to their caregivers!

If all health care providers in the US had the bedside manner of Dr. Rae, this country would be the healthiest in the world. Dr. Rae recently went above and beyond for my son after he knocked a couple teeth loose. She saw him literally the next day, a credit to her and her staff for squeezing us in at the end of day. The office is completely tricked out for the kids too, with tvs on the ceiling, a ton of gifts and treats, a huge loveable dog roaming around, and she even can make balloon puppets! We moved 45 mins away but still take our kids there because they love it so much.

At this point, I'm just a copycat of all the other reviews but one more can't hurt. Camp Little Tooth is the BEST! Every time I visit, I ask when they're opening an adult practice. From the thoughtfully chosen decor to the kind, incredibly kid-friendly staff, to Dr. Rae's knowledgeable expertise - it's a dream come true for my daughter's first dental experience. We're about to move 30 minutes away, but we will definitely drive back to Lafayette every six months for Camp Little Tooth!

Excellent experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was very fun and the staff clearly loves children and have a ton of experience with treating them. This was my three year old's first trip to the dentist and she had a great time! Natalie was our hygienist and she took time to answer every question and make the experience fun and magical. We can't wait to return!

So disappointing. I've been bringing my children here for 3 years, with a fair amount of work done. My son was extremely shy at first and the staff completely turned that around. However, I have lost complete faith in the office and their ability to treat patients. After 2 years and multiple visits without discrimination, suddenly as everything is winding down they ramp up the fear and discrimination. If they can't discern appropriate risk (or lack thereof) how can I trust their treatment recommendations?

We love Camp Little Tooth. Dr Ray goes out of her way to make the kids comfortable, and the decorations and atmosphere does take away our daughter's anxiety. She has no issues coming here. The staff across the board have been professional and extra kind, and we have not had any concerns here. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

My 3 year old is pretty shy and does not like going to the dentist. He also has some delayed speech issues. But they were so good with him. Gave him some time to calm down and tried different things to calm him down. I would definitely recommend them to everyone

This place discriminated against my family. We drove 6 hours (round trip) to the only 'holistic' pediatric dentist in Colorado because my 18 month old had a serious tooth emergency. We came to our scheduled appointment, waited in the back room for 30 min before they came into the office claiming they could not see a relationship between the company and my family. Discrimination. Shame on you.

Incredible and very personal staff! Dr. Ray is worth the visit and Greta experience. Where was this when I was kid?! Both our boys, 5 and 2, did wonderfully.

10/10 experience! They were so great for my daughters first dentist visit. They were so patient and waited until she felt comfortable to start the exam and did a great job making her feel comfortable and involved the whole time. The office is so cute as well which made her excited to be there. I'll honestly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Our 4-year-old had an incredible experience at Camp Little Tooth. Everyone was warm and welcoming and took extra care to explain everything that happened. Every small detail was thought through, from the decor to calling the hygienists "camp counselors" - adorable! Absolutely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a positive pediatric dentist experience.

Camp Little Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is absolutely AMAZING! We had an awesome experience in everything we encountered from the facility, the Staff and Dr Rae is the very best! My kids asked if they could go back again to the dentist (who says that?!?)...well your kids will too if you go to Camp Little Tooth!

Camp Little Tooth is like the Disney World of Dentist offices. My children will forever love going to the dentist and taking care of their teeth because of this magical camping-themed kid-dreamland. The entire staff is professional, bubbly, helpful, and kind. Dr. Rae has put so much care and love into every last detail of her office, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The kids acquire wooden tokens during their appointment and get to turn them in for prizes, they get to lay on a comfy "canoe" and watch their choice of television show on the TV attached to the ceiling while their teeth are worked on, Dr. Rae and her staff even make balloon animals. My 7 year old has been going since she was small, and my 2 year old even loved it, they have a talent with kids. We were so sad we had to move away, but my kids will forever love taking care of their teeth because of Dr. Rae and camp little tooth!
