Dr.Hassey earned his dental degree (DDS) at NYU School of Dentistry in New York, where he also graduated at the top of his class with honors. He then completed a one year general practice residency in advanced cosmetic dentistry at the University of Nevadas School of Medicine program before deciding to specialize in orthodontics. He went back to New York to receive his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate at the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr Hassey has also obtained his board certification with the American Board of Orthodontists (the highest distinction achievable in the specialty of orthodontics).
After living and practicing in New York, Dr.Hassey decided to return to his roots and raise his family in Southern California. He is honored to be practicing in Carlsbad as well as raising a family with is wife Hollie and children Jonathan, Ava, Matthew and Julia.

The place is very clean and sanitize. They made my daughter feel very comfortable because she was very nervous. I definitely recommend using them for treatment.

Today (7/5) I was informed by my daughters doctor that she had to have her expander removed for her mri that's scheduled for tomorrow morning (7/6) I immediately started to stress out. I called Dr.Hasseys office and they were so helpful and super understanding, they got my daughter in within 30 mins and removed her expander. Thank you again for saving the day!

I can't thank Camino Real Orthodontics enough! We were visiting Carlsbad and there was an issue with my son's wire. I called first thing in the morning and was given an appointment just a few hours later! We arrived at our appointment and were seen immediately - what an incredible experience!! If we lived locally, we would certainly choose Camino Real Orthodontics

I love the color options available for the braces and how the orthodontists are super nice. The appointments are usually pretty quick but they always do a great job. :)

Before coming here and meeting Dr Hassey, I was in constant pain. I was grinding my teeth at night, to the point where I would get headaches and migraines. My jaw was slightly crooked with an overbite. After a little over three years I have finally what they call graduated and I am so happy with how my teeth look. I finally have a smile that I want to show off and brings me confidence!

My daughter has been going to both locations for a year now and we couldn't have picked a better practice. She had a really bad underbite that we addressed right away with an expander and head gear then also added a few braces along the way. In just a year her whole mouth has changed so much! We absolutely love this office and all of the staff!

I can't say enough about Camino Real Orthodontics. The staff is so friendly, patient, and really know how to communicate with my boys, who are ages nine and seven years old, and can be a bit of a handful! My nine year old asks a lot of questions, but Dr. Hassey and Miss Cass are always full of energy and handle the boys well. They even personally sent my nine year old a card after he had his expander put on because he was having a difficult time getting used to it. So thoughtful!!! The staff also answers my questions thoroughly, and they really work with you no matter your budget! Camino Real really cares about their patients, and it shows.

My son was nervous and this place has been amazing while on our journey to correct his teeth. My son feels at ease, calm and excited as the journey moves forward. Dr. Hassey and staff have been one of a kind and I only wish we started sooner! We have a year or so left and am grateful we can call anytime if something is wrong, shifts, hurts, isn't brushing right, etc. they answer and help with it all! They are professional, empathetic, to the point (nicely) And they even call to check up on him!

I am so thankful that Dr. Cho DDS from the office below the Carlsbad location recommended El Camino Real Orhto to me! The entire staff is extremely friendly and they even have a quiet room for patients with anxiety or those who prefer privacy (which is amazing and incredibly kind). Dr. Hassey and staff are fully there to work with you to find the best treatment options fitted for your individual needs. I have had braces twice in my younger years and I have to say this whole experience is basically the 'Disney Land' of Orthodontic offices. Oh and you even become a part of a rewards system if you download an app and participate in surveys and games! Who would have thought! Prizes like gift cards to Amazon, Target, Starbucks, Gaming... you name it! I just started invisaline (picked up my trays and went over the plan) the appointment took all of 10 minutes and I was out the door. I highly recommend Dr. Hassey and his team for your orthodontic needs... especially if you are looking for a place for your children. Also, they offer deals to those in need of braces and have Medi-cal insurance!

THE BEST! Dr. Hassey and the team are literal Gold for North county. I had been searching for a few other Orthos and as soon as I walked out of the other consultations I immediately was turned off. Camino real Orthodontics truly had my best interest in mind as I walked out the process of getting braces on. I absolutely hate people in my mouth. And from the get go I felt totally safe and listened to, through the whole process. 4 years of amazing care and building relationships with the crew there. And I wasn't the only one stoked when I got my braces off. The whole team cheered me on as I smiled so big. My story was a long process , however it made it 100% worth every second when I knew they had my back through it all! THANK THANK THANK YOU DR. Hassey and team! So thankful for the work you do and the amazing energy and positivity in your workspace .
