Dr.Hassey earned his dental degree (DDS) at NYU School of Dentistry in New York, where he also graduated at the top of his class with honors. He then completed a one year general practice residency in advanced cosmetic dentistry at the University of Nevadas School of Medicine program before deciding to specialize in orthodontics. He went back to New York to receive his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate at the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr Hassey has also obtained his board certification with the American Board of Orthodontists (the highest distinction achievable in the specialty of orthodontics).
After living and practicing in New York, Dr.Hassey decided to return to his roots and raise his family in Southern California. He is honored to be practicing in Carlsbad as well as raising a family with is wife Hollie and children Jonathan, Ava, Matthew and Julia.

Camino Real Orthodontics is the best! I had one child finish the whole round of braces and another child is almost done. They actually make the whole process fun. They are friendly, professional, honest, and my kids' teeth look great! Prices are reasonable too. I will be bringing my other 2 kids here when they are old enough.

Highly recommend! Dr.Hassey and his team are not only friendly but they work magic. After two sets of braces starting at age 8, my son has beautiful straight teeth. Why two sets? First, start your children early if they need a lot of work like expanding their mouth, etc. Time is on your side and they're growing. Once he had the room they made adjustments and his braces came off. We moved to VA and we waited until we came back because no one can replace this team. Second set was put on and less than 18 months later his teeth are gorgeous. In the beginning, Dr Hassey informed me we may need to pull teeth depending on how progress went - but guess what? We didn't. He's talented and so is his team.

The whole staff is amazing and Dr. Hassey is just very easy to connect with and really makes sure you will understand all parts of care. My son has a disability and Dr Hassey and his staff have been amazing with my son. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with my son and our family.

Dr. Hassey and his team at Camino Real are the best. Dr. Hassey is very thorough when explaining the recommended treatment options. Everyone is professional and kind. Anytime we have needed to be seen to resolve an issue between appointments, the front office staff have been accommodating and helpful. We cannot recommend Dr. Hassey highly enough!
